This hotel is a 60 baht taxi ride away from Kasem Bundit University and the Prometric Test Center there. There is decent coffee around the corner and street food a couple of blocks away. As for the room, it had a rubber mattress of the type common in cheap Thai guesthouses but was clean and even decorated. The shower was waist-high, which was weird but not unworkable. Staff kindly let me check in early. Breakfast was substantial but underwhelming.
Yes its old and about hour from bangkok..its clean friendly staff value for money.i would sray there again no problem...its close to local markets..taxi to bangkok close and cheap or local transport is more cheap and ok to use
Booked a superior room, peeling paint in the corridor was a giveaway that superior wasnt going to be superior. Bed so hard didnt sleep a whole night through. Was told only one device was allowed for wifi, my husband stood his ground they allowed us 3, most people have phones and tablets, so that is 4 already! Even though we can speak Thai the receptionist was so miserable. Breezeblock for air in the bathroom, no mosquito nets, mouldy bathroom, shower came to chest height no curtain so water went everywhere. Despite being on the 9th floor outside tobacco smoke entered our room every night. No recommendation from us at all.
at first it seemed ok, but after 3 nights/4 days with NO CLEANING/SERVICE ....... this hotel is NOT for you if you are not physically healthy/fit and of small Asian build. The access to hotel, elevator, room & bathroom is only usable IF YOU CAN WALK (have the full use of your legs). The bed was firm, which I like, but uncomfortably lumpy. The fitted sheet did not fit & could not hold on to the mattress. The room was NEVER cleaned nor restocked (only had bare minimum to begin with), so neither water, coffee, toilet paper nor towels were ever restocked/re-supplied. I shall NEVER return here.
room is very old need improve or renovate maybe paint new color and have dust on the chair and table and dressing table.but not far from main street and 7-11,cp mart, family mart.walk not far from main street.
We stayed at Tara and were not impressed. They didn't have our reservation when we got to the hotel so we had to wait 20 mins for them to figure it out. The internet kept crashing and the beds feel like cardboard. Generally it just has a weird atmosphere.
We stayed only one night, for sleep overnight good enough! Clean, well conditioned. Outside fresh renovated, furniture aged. 7-eleven market and massage saloons nearby. We left early with breakfast package, that was very little and only sweet snack in there.
we stayed for 5 nights the double bed is so hard that the spring of mattress touch my body cause backache the toilet also smell .The room size is good. The location is very very far from city it is very difficulty to move around one has to pay 185 Balt . go to the nearest skytrain station Ekama to get to town The skytrain station is also a far ride . Breakfast is aweful. Better stay nearer to city pay a little more save a lot of time.
Stayed here only as I had to in Minburi and accommodation at reasonable rates isn't in abundance. Was promised by email before I booked that all rooms had a balcony. They do not as I was given a room at the backside of hotel with only window.room I was assigned was nothing like the pictures I saw online. Was very dated and in need of some TLC.Hot water was Luke warm at best and water pressure terrible.Wifi very inconsistent. On the plus side, restaurant down stairs was pleasant enough.Staff mostly friendly and helpful except for one young man who wasnt. Not recommended if you want to explore Bangkok as far from the city.Passable(just) if you need to be in Minburi though
Stayed here for 5 nights with a friend, and found the place reasonable. Paying 30 AUD a night for a room, some poor research made us fail to realise how far the hotel is from the city. It will cost around 15-20 dollars to get into the city and back each day, and for the added price you might as well stay somewhere a bit more pricey but on the airport link rail line (this is an excellent way to get into the city - cheap, clean and fast). The wifi is free and the speed is good (comparable with what I have at home in Sydney). We stayed in a superior room and were somewhat disappointed. The lighting is poor in the room, making it an effort to read. The room wasn't cleaned once while we were there, so we had to take out our own garbage. On the plus side there is cable TV, so it is easy to find a movie to watch (in English) after a long day exploring the city. We payed a little extra to have breakfast included but it wasn't worth it. Very limited choice, mostly noodles and rice that were soggy. Tea and coffee nothing special. Felt like offering to buy some myself and brew it. The staff were mostly helpful when we needed them. A few of the doormen seemed entirely disinterested in our questions. One of the staff - Mitzel - was outstanding. He spoke great English, was very friendly and very helpful in relaying our questions to the concierge. Surprised he is working as a doorman here, he spoke better English than any of the staff we met at the Hilton when we passed through there.
