We stayed as a couple as we were travelling for bussiness to Bangkok. Its a budget property very close to markets in pratunam. Its very clean and professional. They are very strict with timings. Early check inn was politely denied. The breakfast was complimentary and very basic. The staff at the breakfast was rude to say the least, When ask for second serving of eggs we were flatly refused, which i have never experienced before.Rooms are good for 2 people not more. Stay if u have to in this area and if u want a budget stay.
We have stayed in a number of hotels in Pratunam in this price range over the years and "Tango" was easily the best. We requested and received both early check-in (around 10:30 a.m.) and a quiet room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower good. The included breakfast was simple but very satisfactory. The coffee almost of coffee shop quality and the eggs were made-to-order. Fruit, juice, breads, bacon, sausage etc were buffet style. The wi-fi worked and the location, with a 7-11 on the corner and many street food options nearby, was perfect for access to Pratunam shopping. We were highly pleased and will definitely stay at Tango in the future.
This is my second visit to this hotel. The condition is same as last year.Everything is fine, neat and tidy. The buffet breakfast have little varieties,if increase a little more will be much better for us.Location, staffs and cleanliness is perfect for my standard. They don't actually have TV programs for tourist and the reception is very bad.The Wifi is perfect. If the Taxi driver can't find the hotel, call the hotel reception and let her talk with the taxi driver, she will guide the taxi.
I have travelled numerous times to Bangkok and this is the worst experience so far. There were good and bad reviews of this hotel in tripadvisor and I thought of giving it a try, and it turned out that my stay was the worst thus far! Old room, broken furniture, broken lights, switches and even the toilet seat is broken!!! Low water pressure, water heater working based on its "mood" etc... Staff are unfriendly, got scolded using coffee cup to fill up orange juice as they said if I fill with coffee cup, their orange juice will finish very fast and should reserve some for other guest...and a lady was scolded of filling up her water container with just some plain water...what a joke???!!! First time got restricted having juice during a BUFFET breakfast! It is suppose to be a relaxing holiday in bangkok but end up have to be so stress out to see those grumpy face everyday. Spend your money wisely folks! This is not the place you want to stay as Bangkok has alot more great hotel with better price. Tripadvisor should consider banning this property as it is totally not up to the standard!
Took this place just for the distance to Pratunam area where I usually will visit every single day of my stay while in BKK. When one comes into trip advisor, we are very concerned of what's written regarding of the place that one is going to stay. Well, as for this place, I am very very disappointed of the choice that I made. Price is expensive for a day stay , TV channel is limited, only one English movie channel and news. Worst part is, the channel is blurred. Bad reception. The rest is, Thai. Channels. Distance to the railway airport station is very near, Pratunam is just across the road, food street, not much unless you walked all the way in along the lane to get better choice of street food when evening comes. Taxi, not all knows the place though they were given hotel instructions to it. So, after this trip, I will definitely not gonna stay in this place anymore . I would rather walk the, 10 min in, into the long lane for a better choice of stay, where food and price is good. Think twice, guys
Extremely clean and well maintained property. Is located very close to the main Indra Square and Malls. Sky train is five mins walking distance, BKK and DMK airport within 30 minutes . Would highly recommend for Indian Tourists as food , groceries and shopping are well within walking distance. Staff are efficient and friendly. Morning breakfast leans towards continental fare and is adequate. Will definitely return for a second time. Take a room at the top facing the back for a great view. They should look at the hot water showers though, alternately scalding and then running cold.
This review was long overdue due to my busy schedule and work. Actually, we stayed here last August 2016 instead of October as TripAdvisor did not allow the review to be done for more than 1 year. Anyway, I really recommend this place as the staff were extra friendly. The room was clean and cozy as well. The location was just perfect as it is close to the markets and to some restaurants serving authentic Thai food. Breakfast was also good. There was a variety of dishes to choose from. We'll definitely stay here again when we go back to Thailand. Keep it up!
Location is perfect for someone who wants to be within proximity to the important turist locations i.e. market, airport train, food, and reasonable drive to MBK, Khaosan, Soi cowboy etc. Rooms are on a small side but it depends which one u get(corner suits or mid corridor), nevertheless very functional with big beds. Lets just say im not a budget traveler, but i choose to stay at the Tango every time im in Bangkok. Proximity and clean rooms - all im after. U won't be disappointed. P.S. pillows, u might want to bring your own if you like it low.
The hotel is at a nice location with walking distance from markets. And most of the malls of Bangkok are with in 15 minutes taxi or tuk tuk ride. The hotel rooms are very neat and clean. Only drawback is rooms are little small.
The location is good. Very close to night markets (Baiyoke and Talad). Walking distance to Platinum. Massage/spa places are just around the corner. Breakfast was good, liked it. If onlye there had been more spicy/hot :).. The room was big enough, (worthed) considering the price. We could see what's happening on the street. Aside from the hot water which was once not working well, everything else is fine. The reception staff were helpful, friendly and patient. Oh and I was having trouble connecting to the hotel wifi network for the first time because apparently for iphone users, it required minor changes in the setting menu. Overall i would recommend this hotel.
