The staff is extremely helpful, location is good (close to BTS Nana station) room was clean and spacious, but you could see signs of aging already. A loose tile in the shower, broken radio controller in the bathroom - nothing major mind you. The rooftop bar is good as well, although there are ones with better sights nearby. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Took a spoonful of cereal and found a piece of GLASS!! One restaurant manager apologised upon notification and said he would inform the kitchen. Ummm...not only is this a health violation, it would have required a hospital visit if my brother had swallowed it. We got a box of sofitel macarons for our trouble on check-out from the same restaurant manager. No one else acknowledged it. Mistakes can happen but this is not the club level experience we were expecting!!! Even a smaller restaurant would have at least comped our meal and talked to us for more than 30 seconds. Twin bed room was big but the bathroom is see through and even if every curtain/door is closed, there are gaps in the glass to see through the living area. The design makes no sense if you like a bit of privacy. We expected the club level breakfast which was highlighted to be efficient and substantial. Tired looking plates of fruit greeted us compared to the array served in their regular breakfast. Service was also super slow. Took almost 20 minutes for a plate of pancakes which we ordered and the coffee was bitter. We actually saw many patrons in the regular breakfast area the next day who had switched from the club level. We skipped the cocktail hour because there was nothing vegetarian friendly. The only good thing is the location. Close to the subway and the amenities in the room are good. And the provided us with late check out. Will not be going back. The staff do a disservice to the Sofitel brand. At this price, expect better service.
Centrally located on sukhumvit, this hotel has location going for it as an opener. But the place is way more than location. The team is fantastic. Extremely professional with warmth, always taking your needs into consideration and sometimes one step ahead of you. I’ve stayed their multiple times since my first visit in November. Most recently in February! The room, food choices, the pool, the spa I can’t provide enough praise for them and the work the team does! I can only say everything was perfect for me!
Stayed for 3nights 2 rooms with family. Access to Mellisime floor which was lovely snacks drinks included worth the extra. Room was very large great bed, and bathroom. The staff were wonderful got an early check in, very polite couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast lovely good choice. Pool good. Wish we could have stayed longer. One of th best hotels we have ever stayed in. Our son recommend it has he had stayed many times before and was with us this time as well. Well done everyone.
The bed was great. Very comfy. Stunning surprises, afternoon snacks and hot tea before bed time. The room was spacious and well designed. The fitness centre and the trainers were very helpful, the pool was refreshing. Memorable experience
Great hotel, in good busy town location. Huge rooms and 2 enormous beds and comfortable too. Expensive but you get what you pay for. 6 high speed lifts (we were on 22nd. floor) although sometimes they took an age to arrive and until they did arrive, you have no idea which or how long, except ground floor.
Stayed here for the first time, it was suggested by Golf Asian and I must say I was extremely impressed by the hotel and its facilities. Breakfast is superb, nothing is a problem, fresh fruit, awesome bread and hot foods - eastern and western. Central to must parts of Bangkok, close to the train station for easy access throughout. Close to golf courses in BKK
Staff here are very professional and provide excellent service. The room is nice design and clean. We like the hotel location very convenient to go around in downtown area. The breakfast set was lovely.
Room We got an asymmetrical room(located end of corridor), the quite a lot of space near the bathroom was nothing to do with while the desk, chair and bed were packed on the other side. The room didn’t have space to place a couch like the other rooms do. Cleanliness Housekeeping hasn’t done a good job. Still some hair left in the bathtub and the sink. We had to clean the bathtub ourselves before taking a bath. Besides, be prepared for some waiting times for amenities delivery. Bubble bath Found that they provided free bubble bath while cleaning the bathtub. Then I was told the housekeeping would be set it up for me and it would took an hour. When the housekeeping was there, I told him there were hair in the tub however he didn’t do anything as if he couldn’t hear it. He then continued to pour something in the water in the meantime playing with his phone while waiting the water to fill the tub fully. The next day, we wanted to do the bath again. However when we called the operations, they rejected to give us the bath soup for us do it ourselves, it definitely was not a difficult thing to do, weird, he asked us to wait an hour for their housekeeping to “set up”. When the housekeeping arrived, I clearly saw that he just use the hotel shower gel to make the bubble bath, furthermore he put his hand in the flowing water and kept using his hands to shake up the bubble. At last, he washed his hand using the water going into our bath. I didn’t want to soap in the water with someone just washed his hand. Due to this hygiene issue, I didn’t take the bath after he left. I called the operation again but they said the bubble bath must set up by the housekeeping and only once per day. It’s totally non sense and a waste of time. We gave it up as it was already at midnight. We should have done with a shower gel ourselves an hour ago! Breakfast Staff came to take away all our food without asking when we were in the middle of our breakfast. On the first day, on one at the entrance, we just found our own seats randomly and asked for drinks when we got a chance to catch a staff. And don’t expect there would be a smile on their faces. Check-out/ Taxi We booked a taxi to BKK airport thru concierge. We specified that we wanted a taxi by meter. When the taxi arrived, the concierge said we should pay fixed price roughly thb400. I said I wanted a metered taxi. He then told the driver to use meter. However, the driver kept trying to get more money from us throughout the whole journey. First he said we needed to pay the toll at thb250 separately. And when we were about to get off the taxi he asked for tip several times. We were ok to give him tip but I think the hotel should communicate well with the taxi drivers the price/conduct for their guests beforehand. As we thought the taxi booked thru hotels are usually more reliable, at least we never experienced the same when we booked taxi thru all other 5 stars hotels. All I can say the only best part of the hotel is check-in process with the front desk. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and thought it would be a good start. But that’s it. Other than that, nothing impressive. The way of this hotel handling things was strange. There are many other choices at this price out there.
Every year since 4 years ago I take my wife and son to Bangkok and the service in the hotel is amazing. very warm and friendly. rooms are excellent and the price is just right. Last time I booked a Thai massage in the hotel and the masseuse "Annie" was exceedingly great. one of the best massages I ever had. the restaurant is also great with a wide variety of food. My son also loves the pool the staff there are great. always feels welcomed and they are so friendly with kids too.
