Very nice little Hotel, stayed here Feb 17 and would not hesitate to return again.Situated in very convenient area to tour the local highlights and the Management and staff were all superb. Thank you guys , be back very soon :)
The first day, welcomed with pineapple drink. The attendant helped us to carry our bag and luggage to room. The room was a big disappointment. Heavy dust and i won't recommend any asthmatic people to stay in this hotel. There have been cracks on tiles. Asked the hotel receptionist (male) to change room, however he denied. Attended by a lady receptionist (boss i guess), she showed to us a room & it was better. Breakfast was OK. Better than nothing. They provide tuk-tuk, but usually they will push you to opt for taxi so that you pay them by giving reason, traffic bla bla bla... The last day was even horrible, when someone entered my room even after i locked it. We asked the receptionist how people can enter a room with their key even after i locked the door. They answered the system went haywire and they have to give open key to everyone. Pretty dangerous.
Nice and stylishly refurbished hotel, the prices are an actual steel, so cheap! Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. Located in the back of Soi 11 Sukhumvit, so a very quiet place but near a lot of night life activity. if I had to say something negative it would be that the walk to the BTS Skytrain (Nana station) is a 10 minute walk. Then again, in front of the hotel is a taxi motorbike hub, they will take you there for 20 THB.
This was our third time at Smart Suites. The lovely, friendly woman at the front desk was still there and the location is still ideal. Unfortunately, everything else has gone downhill. The rooms are filled with crumbling plaster, exposed wires and broken safes... it's as if there has just been nothing done to maintain. Also, my credit card was charged the full amount on initial booking in October, and again after check out in February, we are still fighting for the refund.
I stayed at Smart Suites at the beginning of my trip and I enjoyed my stay there so much, I stayed there again before heading home. The staff was great and helpful in so many ways...arranging transportation to the train station, airport and just getting around Bangkok. The hotel is located in a great spot for restaurants, pubs and groceries, yet far enough away from the noise and traffic of Suhkumvit that you get a good sleep. I would stay there again.
Had a very pleasant stay at the Smart suites on Sukhumvit SOI 11 in February. Rooms are nice and clean and it's a very good budget option right in the middle of the action. It's particularly a good option for Indians due to the sheer variety of Indian restaurants within walking distance. Vicky, a sardarji, the manager and his two supervisors are really friendly and always on beck and call. The presence of a 7-11 on the ground floor of the hotel is really a godsend for cheap beer and other snacks. Good place to base yourself for sightseeing too as the Nana BTS station is a short 10mins walk away. Opt for the superior rooms as it's a bit larger than the standard rooms at a very minimal price difference. The only downsides are- there's no balcony for most of the rooms for smoking and there is no breakfast option in-house
If you're looking for a no frills hotel this is it. I would highly recommend that you spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else. The rooms are tiny, the service is underwhelming and it's quite a hike from Nana station. There were two things that struck me as odd. At check-in I was asked to fill out a lengthy form. To be honest I wasn't comfortable with a lot of the questions given that it was for hotel use only. I refused as this was a very uncommon practice. I was just asked to sign the form and print my name. I booked a superior room but I was told it was unavailable. It appears that the room was under maintenance due to issues with the toilet. They offered me a standard room instead which was fine. It seems this isn't all that uncommon according to some of the other reviews.
We booked this hotel months ago as a brief stopover between flights and trying to keep costs down. The hotel is a LONG walk from Nana station, not ideal with full luggage and busy, uneven pavements. Reception staff were to the point, not rude or anything, but less friendly than other hotels we'd stayed at throughout Thailand. Please note that they want 1,000 baht for a key deposit, which is pretty rubbish when you've deliberately run your money down to go home, and don't then have enough left to eat! And even with a pre-paid booking voucher, they still wanted credit card information. Not something I felt comfortable with given some common scams going around. Anyway, we arrived in our room and it was TINY. Not even enough space to put out two large bags on the floor. The air con worked, but only in one mode, not adjustability. The room appeared clean enough, and the mattress was softer than some we'd had elsewhere, but the bed was also small. We decided that this wasn't how we wanted to remember our last night of the holiday and checked straight back out. Literally spent long enough to use the wifi to book somewhere else which was great! Moral of this story... you get what you pay for. And if you're happy spending £23 for room only, then keep your expectations low. We won't be booking there again.
I stayed at smart suites for three days and the experience was really excellent. Superb location. staff is absolutely the best. they speak English good and very friendly. The hotel is very centrally located. I will go there next time for sure when I am back in Bangkok as its a value for money
I booked this hotel as I was coming back from Chiang Mai on 28/01/2017. Once at the front desk, they tell me this: "The room is under painting... but luckily we have a room in another hotel." If you're still with me, you would wonder why a business owner would renovate his rooms during high season. And you're right, because it's a lie. The other hotel is 5km east (out of the center) and clearly the owner has difficulties to fill it. I decided to cancel my night as no one can force you to go to a hotel you didn't book. Today I'm still waiting to be refunded. The owner told me that it is still processing. In the same time, he told Booking that I didn't show up. Yeah right... So it seems it's going to be a loss.
