A delightful hotel, right in the middle of the bustling Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. We had a standard room, which was a good size with a fabulous bathroom - great shower! The Swimming pool is situated on the Third floor, the sun loungers are quite sought after and because of the design of the garden most have at least some shade. Obviously dependent on the weather as it's quite oftern hazy. Great pool and hot tub which are well looked after - the staff around the pool are great, they help you locate loungers, remembering where you've sat recently and bring drinks etc. Concierge are very good at finding you taxis and make sure that you have the details of the taxi and understand any fees due on top of the meter (eg for tolls or airport runs) there is also a covered walkway straight from the hotel to the BTS (rail station) and from there you can get to various shops completely undercover. All in all a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
Heard about the latest invention of the Sheraton Hotel Grande Sukhumvit: dinner in the sky. After Dinner on the Dark (held in the hotel) we now had to go to a different place outside the hotel, close to the Emporium shopping centre. Dinner in the Sky is a concept that travels all over the world and now stops for a few months in Bangkok. Sheraton is doing the catering for it with a 4 courses set dinner menu. The dinner table seats maximum 22 guests while 5 staff ensure that everything goes smooth in this 1 hour session. You will enjoy your dinner 50 meters above the ground. FASTEN SEAT BELT is important and is being done by professional staff while on the ground to be sure no accidents happen. Then a big crane lifts you up to end at 50 meter high which gives you a nice view over the city. There are 2 sessions per day: one starting at 1800 hrs, the other at 1930 hrs. Recommend the early seating as this gives you both daylight as night time view. Food was on the evening we did even prepared by the Italian Chef of Sheraton: Gaetano which gave it the extra flavour. Although the price is not cheap early booking is recommended as most evenings are sold out. Do understand this: it was a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.
I stayed here for 4 nights while I was traveling on business. The location is one of the bests in Bangkok. The BTS is only 2 minutes' walk. Terminal 21, Tops, Robinson are just opposite to the hotel. There are plenty of decent food joints, massage parlors & tailors around. The hotel is old but really well maintained. I actually loved the old flavors in the ambiance which brought in a certain level of classiness. I stayed in a Grande Room (which is their most basic room) and it was much bigger than similar class rooms in similar properties. The room layout was fantastic, neat & clean and had a great view. The bathroom was grand. The room was loaded with necessary amenities, tea/coffee and water. Wifi was speedy and the room service was great. The serve a decent buffet breakfast as well. I had a small issue during check-in with the luggage transfer to room - I am going to ignore it and have logged it with the hotel authorities. Overall, I had a great experience and I already know I am going to book here again.
Perfect location for this five-star hotel that offers a perfect service. Very nice room. Beautiful pool with a pool bar and a restaurant that offers typical and tasty dishes. Very good experience and good value for money.
Stayed here for 2 nights, it’s in a great location pretty much straight out the door and on to the BTS . As Sukhumwit road is very busy bts is the way to travel. Check in was smooth, rooms are well equipped but rather small at least for Bangkok standards. The gym was good though the staff wasn’t to friendly on my first visit but maybe I caught them on a bad day. The pool area is one of the best in Bangkok but very busy and be prepared to wait to get a spot, nothing much the staff can do. Staff here was super nice and service was great. Breakfast have pretty much all you can ask for but be ready for mayhem as it’s very very crowded. All in all a good 4 star hotel as I see it. Will I stay there again, hmm no because there is so many nice hotels in Bangkok to choose from and these big chains are pretty much well oiled machines and lack those little personal touches I can get at another boutique hotel at the same price
Me and my bf were not booking but we can get the room so lucky ...in Bangkok this hotel very good location for shopping etc. Best breakfast I ever had in my life The service I got so good experience and feeling. For both of us uesd to have problem last year about payment but we got good help as their can even felt like something missing. Only one that I will ask should 5 stars hotel keep camera recording more than 15 days. Anyway still best hotel.
We had a night to relax and be around Asok area. The hotel team welcome us very nicely and we loved the room with the view over the lake. Very comfortable and spacious. The concierge directed us to the local museum house around the corner and recommended the week end market on this early morning which we reached via the BTS sky train. Great stay including a very nice but very busy breakfast. Great.
This is our third time at this hotel and it is a great place to stay. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the breakfast is superb and the walkway link to the BTS station makes it an excellent base to explore the city. We will definitely be back.
We came here as the last stop for our honeymoon. The hotel is great and the staff are always happy to help. We were allowed to check out a few hours later than standard at no charge. Unfortunately, we were immediately kicked off the WiFi upon check out which was somewhat unhelpful and impersonal. We were however offered a honeymoon cake which was a great touch. Would highly recommend the Dine in the Dark experience. Definitely something we’ll never forget.
Very sadly too brief a visit to Sheraton Grande. From check in to check out which was just under twenty four hours. The service was superb, professional, helpful, polite and delivered with a smile. I was told there was construction going on and to possibly expect nose. I was given a room change to tenth floor. Which was fantastic with an extremely comfortable bed, pillows which aided restful sleep. Breakfast at Rosinis was delightful, very helpful staff and service. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
