You cannot beat this location for boats and train transportation. Staff super helpful and always a smile for

We had a room on a high floor with a beautiful view of the river.

Room had lights out but was quickly taken care of when we asked. Also drain in shower didn't work. Breakfast expensive 30 each

Nay bother with this hotel. I wish we had one in edinburgh

I attended a conference at the Shangri-la and after a lot of thought I decided to pay more than I had planned and stayed at the hotel. I am really glad I did. I actually got upgraded to a suite because they had none of my room type left which was great. The room was clean and the amenities were great. Everything from the bathrobe to the toiletries to the great coffee machine was top notch. The environment and ambiance at the hotel is amazing. The pool is very nice and is surrounded by trees and plants on one side and the river on the other. The fitness center is well equipped as well. All in all it was an amazing experience. I'm actually planning to head back in the summer!

the hotel is fantastic, breakfast is superb ! great staff and perfect location !

I loved the Shangri La. Great location, great service, restaurants, rooms, amenities, etc... Very safe, clean and luxurious! Don't hesitate to book! We will definitely be back!

The hotel, staff, location and everything else was wonderful, i don't have any complaint, because i have the best service. looking forward to stay their again soon.

Hotel is right on the river with scenic views, they have a boat service going to the night market. It's about 20 min by taxi from the palace and major temples. Staff is extremely friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Pool was nice, with good food/drink service. Breakfast buffet was good, though pricey. The room rate was a great value for this quality of a hotel.

Hotel is big and fairly nice. Close to the sky train as well. Happy hour was nice on the 24th floor. Concierge is terrible and acted like they have never been asked to give Temple tour advice or how to get a water taxi - pretty disappointing being that the hotel is on the river and you would think they are experts at giving guidance for those two things. I will try a different hotel next time due to terrible guidance from their concierge and that should be high on a hotel's list of guest services to make someone feel comfortable about the city.

Superb breakfast buffet with Asian, western selections, including Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Indian. Fresh squeeze juices, assortment of French and Danish pastries, cheeses, cereals, muesli. Arrays of fresh tropical fruit. One can spent hours to delight of appetite.

Beautiful Hotel with graceious and excellant staff. They go out of their way to please and make your stay comfortble. The Krungthrup wing is the place to stay in this hotel.

A comfortable and easy 2 day quick getaway, nice for business travel, close to the train

We had a wonderful stay. We attended a conference, and with kids, utilized the baby-sitting services available to us. We and the children were very happy with the sitter. The setting is super, right along the river, made me feel I didn't even have to go on a river tour. Wonderful time.

This is a really fine hotel. The staff is all over you to insure you are happy and satisfied. Great pool in a good location

We had a balcony suite overlooking the river and it was wonderful. We spent time just watching all the river traffic without the noise. It was our honeymoon. So we didn't leave the room much and enjoyed all the little extras they provided. The room service was prompt and the food was delicious. The staff had great recommendations for things to do. You can catch the river cruise that will take you to the palace at the hotel. So best place to stay if you are doing river cruises.

Not a tale of super-woe, but when you want to be treated well-- a cautionary lesson. I reserved the Shangri La hotel on Orbitz on short notice and the popup window said stay 2 nights and receive free breakfast and 1 way hotel limousine. The reservation from Orbitz did not mention the 2 night option - I assumed it was hotel policy but to be safe-- I printed it out so that the hotel could see it. At check in, the hotel said "we have no record of that but only your room and internet" It took 36 hours for the hotel to say that in their communication with Orbitz, the matter was settled in that Orbitz wrote ' that the customer had checked "free internet" rather than the special 2-night breakfast and limousine option'. Of course, internet was free anyway, but no matter. Unfortunately, by the time this answer came, it was too late to do anything. The manager of the hotel was gracious and sat with me on Explorer to show me how the process would have worked correctly. I respect that, but remain the victim of miscommunication between Firefox, Orbitz, and the Hotel-- and felt that the delay was unconscionable. The customer may not be always right, but I expected better from the Shangri-La. Moral of the story-- You are on your own sometimes-- even in Shangri-La land.

Consistently excellent service. Ideal location overlooking the busy activity on the river. Convenient Skytrain station next to the hotel, offering numerous shopping and dining opportunities at Siam Paragon Mall - only five stops (12 minutes) away.

great but expensive

Everything was spot on. The food terrific. The service is unlike anythink I have ever experienced. Everyone was unbelievable.
