Although the interiors may be a little 1980’s dated, everything is of the highest level of comfort and excellence, from the comfortable rooms to the wonderful staff. And the hotel is so clean it gleams. It would be great if they had their own boat, to avoid the delays and inconveniences of getting across the river, but otherwise no complaint.

The Lobby was lovely, bright and spacious. The rooms were extremely dated and our particular room was far from the central hotel. We were disappointed with our room and its lack modernity even in respect of basic electrical connections and toiletries provided.

Great hotel could do with refresh.

Hotel is in a nice position overlooking river and it is extremely good to be able to open a window onto the balcony. Service and staff were excellent. Concierge services very good. The place is spotlessly clean but overall the hotel decor could do with a refresh to bring it into the 21st century.

We had a fantastic time at the Shangri-La in Bangkok. There were four of us, so we booked an executive suite, which also gave us access to the private lounge. This was really convenient because they had a great selection of food, and the staff were always very hospitable and welcoming. I felt very safe in the hotel.

Amazing property ! Had some problems with the blackout curtains and they upgraded me to a suite ! First clsss service all around ! Don’t think you can find much better than this hotel ! Staff was great !

"Five-Star Comfort with a Minor Breakfast Quirk"

had a wonderful experience at Shangri-La Bangkok. The hotel perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and Thai hospitality. The riverside location offers stunning views, especially at sunset. The rooms are beautifully appointed — spacious, elegant, and immaculately maintained. The service is impeccable, with staff always attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and professional. The breakfast spread is exceptional, offering a wide variety of local and international dishes. However, the only slight inconvenience was that the breakfast outlet is a bit far from the main building, which may not be ideal for some guests. Despite that, Shangri-La Bangkok delivers a world-class experience that exceeds expectations. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort with a touch of luxury.

Room was a nice size. The pools were nice. Excellent fitness area fir a hotel. Had a balcony that was actually useable. Only detraction was that we arrived before check in time and couldn't check in before the check in time.
