The hotel is located nearby Wat Po, there is no parking lot for the guest. If you drive so you have to park the car at Wat Po but when I been there the car park was full so that I had to go to Yokpimarn instead of. I got the deluxe river view which was opposite Wat Arun. I really impressed with the view. The Reception was very nice, Khun Bee was really welcome and provide a good service. But the room condition was not good, furniture looks old, the sofa got lots of stains, shower room door can’t close properly and the shower temperature difficult to control. If the hotel can have a good maintenance it would be very good. The hotel doesn’t have a lift if you got the big luggage it will be a problem. Overall my stay was good as the view can beat the room defect.
Amazing hotel very modern nice big rooms with great views! Perfect location within walking distance of everything in the area and the breakfast is great to. They have a lot of attention to detail and some nice little gestures all in a great place to stay
On Chao praya, with a spectacular view of Wat Arun, a very good place to enjoy a relaxed drink with friends. Not the easiest place to find, but deserves any effort; prices are pretty big but understandable for what it offers.
This was the first stop on my honeymoon in Thailand, and my wife and I had a great experience at the hotel. Our room was spacious and outfitted with modern amenities, and we had a view of the nearby Wat Pho and Grand Palace! The included breakfast was one of the best we had in Thailand, and there's no comparison to dining with a breathtaking view of Wat Arun across the river. The hotel is close to three of the major attractions of Bangkok (Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and the Grand Palace), and walking distance to other areas of downtown that were great to explore. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient hotel with upscale class.
The view makes it worth, it is basically what you pay. The rooms are ok in size, with an industrial theme deco. The access to the hotel is from an alley, kind of weird to find. The breakfast was good and the staff attentive. The rooftop bar super cool.
What a fantastic river view restaurant! Located opposit Wat Arun. Near Wat Pho, Wat Prakaew, Grand Palace and Flower Market. Great view for photo both restaurant zone and rooftop bar. Thai dishes menu tasty better for foreigners, not for Thai. No more seat, prior booking is reccommend. No parking prepared.
Get away from the internationals and stay in a wonderful place hidden improbably in a commercial/industrial area. The entrance to this boutique hotel is up a flight of metal stairs all the way to the top - so not suited to those who must have an elevator. We were lucky to have a comprehensive suite at the top with just a short flight of stairs to the roof top bar. The service was excellent and bags carried up amongst other things. The room and bathroom were large and luxurious: the room had the most wonderful unobstructed view of the Chao Phraya river on the east bank directly faclng the highlights of Bangkok. The Wat Arun temple of dawn and other outstanding sights were also visible from the rooftop bar which offered a virtually 360 degree view of Bangkok including the Grand Palace.Perhaps the most amazing sight was the apparently golden temple at night illuminated and directly facing our room. A view in a million. From all levels a fascinating view or river life is offered as longboats and others ply their way in both directions..An excellent breakfast is is served in a small riverside restaurant downstairs. All the main sights are easily accessed from the hotel.
"Sala Rattanakosin". Another luxury "Sala" hotel in the heart of historic attraction of Bangkok , Thailand "Rattanakosin Island". You can enjoy Thailand historical places in just walking distance. It's locate by the famed "Chaopraya River". So, you can enjoy the most beautiful scenic of Chaopraya River. I choose this place to celebrate my Birthday. Because its a special occasion. So, I choose to stay in "Wat Arun River View Suite". When you enter the suite. OMG !!! You'll stunned by a spectacular view in front of you, "Wat Arun" (the famed "Temple of the Dawn". There's floor-to-ceiling clear glass window. So, there's no view obstruction. This is the privilege of staying here in this suite. You can enjoy this fantastic view all night long (the lighting of temple of the dawn lit up till 3 am.). There's huge round tub adjacent to your bed. You can soak-in and have a glass of wine. Soooo happy !!!. Wake up the next morning, you'll have full board breakfast at river terrace watching Bangkok morning life. You'll see the famous long tail boat along the river. You'll realized that why Bangkok is claimed "Venice of the East". When you stay here, the time will go so slow. Left your rush-life outside, enjoy your quality of life here. I guarantee.
Stylish boutique property on historic Rattanakosin Island in Old Bangkok, without a doubt the BEST location to view ancient Bangkok. This amazing property is situated on the Chao Phraya River, directly across from the stunning iconic Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Down the alley is Wat Po (Reclining Buddha), the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha are a short walk further. Actually, you can view all three ancient sites from the rooftop bar of Sala Rattanakosin. Grab the ferry around the corner to transport you to Wat Arun, and catch a water bus there to venture further up/down the river. Definitely splurge on a river view room! With a wall of expansive glass windows, I found it difficult to sleep as I continued to view the golden illuminated Wat Arun throughout the night, when it is even more beautiful than day! The toilet and shower areas are tucked behind a sliding mirrored door, which too reflect the image of Wat Arun. The open vanity area backs up to a sofa, and the room is sleek and comfortable. Delicious bottled specialty tea is delivered to the room each afternoon, which was a nice touch. Breakfast is a glorious and delicious experience; we dined each morning outside on the riverside terrace with views of Wat Arun. Lunch and dinner are exceptional, made to order, with creative and artistic Executive Chef Fernando Roman at the helm. Staff is gracious and eager to please. The location is perfect; however, upon arrival you may be thrown off, until you enter. Sala Rattanakosin is at the end of a bustling, narrow commercial street. We provided our taxi driver with hotel printout directions and phone number, and he still had to call for directions. I should also mention that there is not an elevator on the property. Staff will carry your luggage to and from your room, should you request. Our stay was truly memorable! Inside it is quiet and peaceful, a glorious retreat from the chaos of Bangkok. I cannot rave enough about all that Sala Rattanakosin has to offer; it has a place in my heart forever!
Definitely has the best view of Wat Arun but they need to improve customer service. The staff were only "friendly" upon paying. They dont accept reservations at for the rooftop bar but it wasn't too busy.
