I booked with a friend for 1 night at Soi 4 Nana and we found SM Grande Residence by Tripadvisor. The reception was very friendly. The 2 bed room apartment was huge but as to expect dated. Approximately +25 years old building. Towels, water, coffee- & tea supply. All very good and clean. A pity the front door was not to be closed and locked properly and the safe deposit box in the room not working. But the building has CCTV everywhere so we were not too worried. For the rest lots of A4's with warnings and fines 'promised' if not complying to the rules of the juristic office e.g. with wet clothes in the elevator, smoking, naked swimming at night, bringing food in the main elevator........too many to mention. Security at the premises were very friendly and doing their job seriously. Not glued to their cell.phones........:) Certainly come back on a next visit.

Hi, I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and its located in Nana near to pub and stalls. Not suitable for family because Nana area well known for entertainment and clubs. The room very spacious but the air cond very slow and not work properly. Another minus is the curtain for the window is not fully covered and the room is not dark when you sleep,. But still acceptable because we too tired to complaint abt it..BUt keep hearing people slam the door in the middle of night and very noisy especially guys bring girls to room and they make all kind of noise (hope you guys understand what I meant). Other than that, the service is good and the hotel have swimming pool.

Booked this hotel for sauna and gym. The bathroom sauna room was not air-conditioned and the lockers were old and rusty IE. the locks didn't work at all. So you had to leave your stuff basically without any protection as the doors are not locked and anyone can basically walk in. Sauna itself was pretty much OK, there was enough heat (if you heat it up first) but the scoop for throwing water on the sauna stove was really poor and didn't work well (totally nonfunctional, get a new proper one!). One time the guard switch the sauna off after I just had turned it on and started training in the gym. Gym is pretty large and clean and has free hand weights up to 15 kg if remember correct (might be up to 20kg too). There's not mattresses available in the gym so you can't even do yoga. Other than that it's not that diverse set of machines (could use couple more). Better room class rooms are way better than the basic rooms especially without windows. Basic rooms have pretty horrible shower closets where you really have to fear the floor to break... There is tuktuk service available but never really got to use it as the driver was "always on the lunch break" when I did exit the building (usually about 12-1 pm). WTF there was 3 dudes waiting and sitting doing nothing and nobody of them could drive the tuktuk? Elevators have lots of tacky looking signs prohibiting you from doing certain things. Rooms have huge cockroachs infestations so if that is a problem for you better to stay away. Also it's pity that they have removed the washing machines from deluxe rooms (suites should still have em). Washing machines used to be the reason for booking this hotel for so many times.

My brother used to live at the SM Grande for a few years and I would stay when I visited him. It is a great central location, with easy access to the BTS and several restaurants. My family and I rented a two bedroom suite for 3 nights and it was very good for our needs with plenty of space. Yet, I had problems several days with getting the internet in the room to work. One of the toilets in the small bedroom kept clogging up and every day had to call for repair man to unclog the toilet. They advertise a fee tuktuk service, yet one day they could not find the driver, another day the front desk refused to let the Tuktuk drive us (me, wife, 3 year and 1 month old baby) 1/2 way up Soi 4. Said they only drive all the way up the soi to the BTS and somewhere else. We had to hump our family up the soi in the hot sun, with the wife holding the baby and watch the 3 year old as they walked up the small busy sidewalk, and I walked with the stroller in the road dodging oncoming traffic. They are not very helpful to their customer's needs. They could have driven us up, as there were two tuktuk's and a driver ready, but they would rather put our family in danger. Also the room had not been painted in years and the walls were filthy dirty. For what it was the room should have been cheaper, and the staff more accommodating for situational needs. I am really upset they made us walk out on a busy sidewalk/Soi when they could have helped

I stayed there with my sister. We wanted a hotel in Bangkok that is cheap but still has a swimming pool (to get a little tanned before our way back home). So we found SM grande residence on bookings. First of all: The service was very nice and welcoming, our room was spacious and clean and the swimming pool was good (maybe not the cleanest, but not too bad). There was never anyone at the pool, so we had it to ourselves, which was very nice. However, and this is very important to know: It's right in the middle of the red light district. So if you're walking out of the hotel you'll have to walk through a long street, with a lot of bars and restaurants, where prostitutes and their clients hang out all day long. Those men are really disgusting and when you're a woman, they stare at you in a very disagreeable way, while the working women looked at us dissmissively and kind of hissed at us. All of this is a bit different for men walking through, probably. I think it's good to know that if you stay in SM grande residence as a man, everybody will think that you're one of the sex tourists. However, I don't regret having stayed there, because walking through that street for me personally was not that horrible. I just tried to ignore the looks. So if you don't mind being in the Nana-area, want a pool and a not too expensive hotel, I'd recommend SM grande residence. Of course, for a family holiday or a romantic stay with your partner it might not be the best choice.

Affordable stay, clean and basic. Location is suitable for Nana visitors, it's towards the end of street full of bars. It can get noisy, avoid if light sleeper. Also, I wouldn't recommend for kids due to location. Friendly staff. Pool needs a good clean and sunbeds are poor. Gym is limited in equipment however is okay with cardio machines, Dumbbells and exercise machines.

god place to stay with a very good service . the aircond a bit noisy in the room but for the rest everything ok . TV very old and toomuch arabic channels . Furniture a bit old . quality of the bed very good . Hotel quiet and clean.

Lots of amenities close to restaurants and bts great internet I stay there all the time because I can work without any internet issues stayed there pretty much once a week now when I come to Bangkok. Stay there you will come back

This hotel try's to rip you in any way it can tried to charge me 1500 bht for a remote air con which the wire had come out easy fix and not my fault after a while the manager said go not pay but they tried so hard to take money from me so I called the tourist police .,. Rude staff stay up the road at nanna hotel much better and half the price thanks Mark

Very good hotel offering decent accommodation and excellent services. Most positive part is its location. Metro, local street market clubs everything is very near. Rooms are good and big. Hotel staff is very supportive, pool is on the 3rd floor, and pool side is very clean. Over all this place is very nice.
