I stayed at panorama view room 4 nights. when it comes to 'value for money' , I can say this hotel is so amazing. Room is so huge and has nice view! Bed is really enough to sleep 2 people. easy to access, close to bts (5min) / shopping mall , lots of massage shop around and room rate is really more than 'reasonable and affordable". there are some 7-eleven near 5 min walk distance If u r considering family travel , maybe this hotel is recommendable. and.. I am afraid I have to say that level of Breakfast , room-cleaning was little under-average. But it's OK! Advantage of this hotel is so bigger than other thing.
Spend time here for work trip more than 3 times already. My Special type is a biggest room with 360 degree panorama suites see view of Bangkok. You can see night life of Sukhumvit road here. and another type room that I recommend is Duplex Suites so you will have a second floor bedroom in your room! not too big but really comfortable about room service here totally general.
As always, great service, very comfortable rooms, good internet. I love the small pool and even the breakfast is good. I had an issue with some noise near my room and the great woman at the reception changed my room immediately - great customer service! I can't complete my review without recommending the bell boys - just the best in Bangkok!
Stayed for 5 nights, had a very good experience here. Very friendly staff, service with a smile. Clean and nice room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection to cater for all tastes. Free parking also.
The S31 is a modern hotel with excellent facilities. It’s well located being walking distance from major restaurants shopping center and train station. Comfortable beds and good breakfast selection. The swimming pool is smallish but for a city hotel serves its purpose. Service is attentive and courteous at all times. I would definitely use again
The S31 is an okay hotel and is very much geared towards the business traveller. There is nothing high end or sophisticated about this hotel, though they certainly attempt to make it otherwise. So, points for that I suppose but there is no comparing it to any of the other leading chain hotels in the area, all for roughly the same price. One thing to mention, that was very disappointing, was the bed linens had holes in it and the iron and ironing board provided by housekeeping was useless. I did eat at their top floor restaurant and surprisingly the food was pretty good. That said, the ambience was terrible. Again, they are trying to create a sophisticated environment but are missing the mark massively. I think with the right leadership, there's a lot of easy improvements that could help with the appeal of this hotel.
I stayed at this hotel for 3nights on my business travel. Overall location is good, about 5min walk from BTS Phrom Phonng station, and there are a lot of places to eat and drink near the hotel . But I don’t like the room plan, washbasin is not at the bathroom but at room separately. I want to use washbasin after toilet! There was a small kitchen and a microwave, it was good for those who stay long.
Not sure where the certificates of excellence came from, but perhaps I am just rather picky.Booked and paid for two nights, stayed for just one, which basically sums it up. Good point, location, not much else. Terribly designed room, bumped into TV whilst walking round bed, perhaps I'm just too fat. Sink for some reason in the bedroom, and not the bathroom, and rather low, perhaps expecting guests from the Shire. Alongside, rather strangely, a window that looks into the toilet, although may appeal to some, I suppose.Only four sunbeds on a rather shabby sun deck. And finally, may be petty, but annoying. Nespresso type coffee machine, with an allocation of one cup a day between two people. If want more, then 150 baht (£4) a pod. All in all, will not be staying again, there are far better places for the money. Left after one night for the Novotel. Far superior, same price, excellent hotel, and service.
We liked the interior decoration, the bed was very comfortable and good big size and the location is also excellent , however our room was very bad designed by the Architect . The room appeared to be good size, but Toilet and Shower were in a very small cubicle , when somebody sits on the toilet there is practically not enough space to open the shower door without touching the knees of the person sitting. The wash basin was in the room under a staircase with a small mirror placed for a person that is 1.5 meters high , very unpleasant. To pass the bed there is only 30cm space between bed and TV for a bigger person a torture. Also the wardrobe was extremely unpractical . The friendliness of the staff was very mixed , concierge and staff on the ground floor are extremely friendly and helpful and would reed our wishes before we asked. The reception was not really cooperative when we had a problem with the booking.com that mistakenly had only one person registered for the room , they asked us to pay additional THB 1200.-/person/day ????? so that we had to go back to booking.com and change the booking for about THB 500.-/day for the second breakfast . We would have expected that they could have done the same for us , as we had to wait nearly one hour to fix it ,specially because they pay 17% commission to booking.com. Staff at the breakfast had no smiles and it seemed that they just want to earn money , but breakfast is good quality with different options .
I love this hotel and stay here or at the Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok everytime i visit Bangkok. This time i was very disappointed to find that the reception staff really behaved like extortionists and denied us a room upon arrival (8:30am) even though it was available. I understand that check in time is 2pm but if you have a regular guest who has arrived after a night long travel then the least that can be done is to give him the room if it is available. Thats what any genuine hotel brand accross the world would do. It doesnt stop there! They then coaxed me to upgrade my room for a hefty additional amount as they said the room i booked was not available and then it felt like i was bargaining like in street markets. Really disappointed with the experience and will definitely not come back here. I have upgraded to a suite room and it looks n smells like it hasnt been cleaned in ages !
