Gem of Chinatown

Lovely hotel nestled in the side streets of Chinatown, with some the best river and cityviews. Peaceful location with no traffic. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast options. Stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed my stay. Will book again.

I was really disappointed with our room. There is a smell coming out of the bathroom that maybe coming from clogged pipes. I will not recommend it to anyone who would get the room on the other side of the river view, the room is stark, no tables, nothing to hang your clothes, nothing to put your things on, not even hooks. They dont change the sheets if we did not ask, the sheets are thin and they did not clean the floors. It is very depressing and not at all what is was like in the photos. They did not put a photo of the room we booked out we were to believe that it looks like in their website. The location is like in the slums, very scary place to go there. Not recommending it to anybody.

The Area is awfull and the Hotel is under renovation. But it is quiet, has a great View from the Seaview Rooms and a the Rooms have an nice Balcony. When we come in first time, we want to turn around immediately. after our 3 Days, we want to come again. Nearby is Chinatown, a great Place at Day and also Night. Best Food in Town

All the staff at River view are so helpful and accomodating. We had a room on Level 7 with a fantastic city view. However this room had no air-con so we found it hard to get to sleep in the heat. It was no problem for us to be upgraded to another room with air-con. Our new room was spacious and clean. Location is a little bit hard for taxis to find and navigate too but we thought it was a great to be amoungts the locals and it was only a quick walk to the metro station.
