This hotel was crowded the reception area was very busy .We stayed 3nights although it said wifi there was no wifi in the room. The breakfast was cold and they ran out of eggs we had to wait for eggs. This is not a 4star hotel. The location is quite close to main shops.
We checked in to room no: 1703 of this property on 31.08.2017 and checked out on 01.09.2017. The property is situated in the busy market area of New Petchbury Road and within walking distance from all the major market centres. The check in was quite smooth. The interior was simply superb with adequate light facilities. Cleanliness is a priority in this hotel. The front desk was quite helpful and supportive, when we requested for a late check out(on paid basis) the front desk assistance Miss Suchanya helped us to avail the same.. The breakfast spread suits every palate. Would prefer to visit again...
I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it is still being well managed and kept up. The location is good for shopping at the Pratunam and Sunday Markets about a 10 minute walk down a small lane. There are a number of small restaurants nearby and of course the hotel restaurant which serves a very good breakfast buffet. On week-ends this, like all reasonably priced hotels in that area are busy with groups who come for shopping in the clothing markers
The location of the hotel is very nice. lots of Indian restaurant around. easy connectivity around the city. just hotel rooms are big but need to be upgraded. but good hotel at this price. the staff is also good
Excellent hotel with a big lobby, City View from Pool Side with Steam Sauna and Gym. Rooms looks refurbished and was well cleaned. In Room services was excellent except the TV which was small and outdated, but who cares for that nowadays. Room attendant was doing an excellent job. Hotel had private outdoor area where we can drop off by cab or wait for a cab conveniently. Lobby is full of people when checkout timings but comfortable during other hours. Overall very happy and enjoyed staying at Ramada.
Recently stayed two nights here, good location if using train from airport get off at second last station. Hotel is very tired none of the Thai friendliness very poor english except for Frank the concierge great help. Must be a indian tourist hotel going by the numbers and tourist coaches parked outside . Bed was very old and uncomfortable. Location is very good to shopping and night market.
This would rank as one of the worst hotel stays of my life. The room was not clean, toilet/bathroom tiles cracked and needing repair; bed was hard and lumpy, window glass not cleaned. It's location is also not handy to any particular main transport link. All this paled into insignificance given that the WiFi was virtually non-existent for the first 3 days of my 5 day stay. It would take forever to log on and then would last a few seconds to a minute or two and then fail and then you could spend hours trying to get back on. I had to become a full time regular at the excellent little cafe across the road to be able to conduct any business whatsoever. Complaints were met with an unsympathetic "it will be fixed very soon". This gets tired and lame after the 6th or 7th time you get told. After 3 days I had finally had enough. I needed to move to a hotel that could actually provide efficient WiFi. I went to Reception and explained the issue. They were mildly apologetic. On checking the booking they noted that it had been made through Booking.com and was non-refundable. I pointed out that Booking.com had of course paid them in turn for the booking so their responsibility towards my stay still lay with them. The non-refundable part would have been fine if I was changing hotels to suit myself but instead as a business traveler their failure of WiFi service was forcing me to change hotels. They refused to do anything for me when I asked for the balance of my stay to be refunded. In a world of enlightened customer service I could have reasonably asked for the entire stay to be refunded considering my stay was for business and no business could be conducted. They would not accept any responsibility whatsoever. I was told that being a Sunday, no duty manager was present who could authorize a refund anyway. Ramada, you are part of an international hotel chain in the world's most popular tourist destination and yet your performance is last century. The balance of my stay was eventually refunded (many days later) but this was probably only due to me refusing to leave the check-in until the matter was addressed. Either resource your IT department better or sack the person in charge. Will never return to this circus.
We booked Ramada from Kolkata and arrived early morning by Thai airways flight. The front office girl said you have to wait for the checkout and then come back after and hour or so. We waited till about 1 PM from 6 AM and requested the Front office lady to get us checked in as we want to get ourselves freshen up. She was rather rude and said why we did not book one day extra if we need the rooms so fast. The behaviour of the lady was rude. Luckly we met the resident Manager - Mr. Vilas Wongtrakul and told him our plight. He went to the lady and asked them to immdietly allocate us the room. If it was'nt for this gentlemen we would have been waiting for another hour for our room. Because of high occupancy the front office staff has - Dont care attitude and not cooperative in any way. Same food is repeated again and again for Complimentary Breakfast. Overall experience was no upto the mark and if you have other option please stay there and not Ramada.
Just stayed at this property and found it to be a nice hotel without being just that little bit better Although a little way away from some of the tourist spots they can be reached by a tuk tuk via tailor shops or any where else the driver gets a coupon i found the property to be noisy because of kids playing in the hallways I was on a non smoking floor but the constant smell of cigarettes was there so obviously some guests ignored that
We were looking for a budget hotel during our stay in Bangkok and Ramada offers exactly that. It's in need of renovation as the entire hotel looks pretty old and rusty. Buffet again was pretty average. But the staff were helpful and courteous. The main shopping market such as Platinum mall and Pratunam market is around 20 mins walk from the hotel. Have minimal expectations and you won't be disappointed
