Showed before our room was ready checked our bags in at the lobby and left to wandered around Bangkok. My Scotch and soda sweatshirt was rolled up and cinched to my bag.. bag made it to the room, sweatshirt did not. Hope it keeps the bell boy warm, so if you see a small Thai man in an XXL sweatshirt it was my gift to him.
The hotel itself and its staff and food are nice and very much like any excellent operation in Bangkok. The problem with the hotel is that it is on Soi 13, which is undergoing extensive work right now. So very tough to walk up to the hotel. A small workaround is to walk around on Soi 11 or 15 and come out near the hotel. Soi 11 is actually quite lively (and a better Soi to stay on) Don’t miss the tiny pool and warm jacuzzi on the top of the hotel. It’s a good place to spend a few hours if there aren’t noisy kids in the area. I specially liked the rather large rooms. I was in the category 2nd from top. Had a dining / Kitchenette area, a biggish sofa and work area and a very comfortable bed. The walk in closet and bathroom are fabulous too. I paid about usd100 a night in the first week of November.
This is our third stay at the Radisson and as always we wee delighted with the service and staff. Having a shuttle bus down to town is super. The hotel is convenient for walking to many of the shops and restuarants. The hotel has a great pool and the staff are excellent..
After paying 120 dollars, I had issues with the ac which after several hours of complaining got fixed at 2 am. Dirtiest quilt possible that too without a cover and got changed only after several complains. Room was stinking due to faulty AC. Thanks to all these issues, woke up disoriented before an early morning flight and left some belongings in the room. Contacted the hotel regarding left belongings and they still have not bothered to get back.
The first is the traffic is not convenient, second is the room sound insulation is not good, other equipment is good, the staff service attitude is good. The other hand did not pay attention, although far from the subway, but will provide free shuttle.
This hotel from staff, room, to amenities are excellent. The rooms, lobby are contemporary and modern. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food for room service and in the restaurant are excellent. Very delicious. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. It is centrally located which makes it easy to get around the city.
Conveniently located about 15min walk from Nana BTS (there's a hotel transport to & from Nana & Terminal21 on call). May want to call for it if you arrive via BTS as Sol13 walking in via Sumkhuvit is under construction and quite broken up leaving narrow walk paths shared with cars and bikes. There's 24hour convenient stores, a Family Mart just like 20meters diagonally across main entrance. Spacious room, had a corner with separate bedroom and separate work area. Attentive staff who's mindful about the small things, like calling in to check on you when guest (or delivery) was seen leaving the hotel unescorted. All lighting, and there are numerous & confusing permutations, can be controlled via remote on TV. Using the wall switches can be confusing at night as there are many-many switches, and few of them shuts every single light OFF, leaving you in TOTAL darkness. Wireless is fast and stable. Rooftop pool is kind of small but adequate for laps, but not if other guests hang around in the water.
My mistake , I thoght i was getting a great deal on the big Radisson on the main road, ended up paying way too much for a run down Hotel on a torn up soi. The manager was nice but the ac was unmanageable in both rooms i tried. A socket blew out my 120v clippers and no offer to reimburse. The Dream hotel around the corner was as good or better, in every way except breakfast, for about half the price.
Amazing hotel with very kind staff. The room is clean with a good size. The hotel has a nice pool with sun all day and a fitness room that is well equipped. The breakfast is also good with a good selection. The Tuk Tuk service is good when going to BTS and Terminal 21. Very pleased with the stay at Radisson Suites Sukumvit.
We booked for a suite and were quite dissapointed by what we got compared to the pictures o the website. We said it and were upgraded for free in a huge suite. We were there for a birthday and they kindly offer a birthday piece of cake on the D-Day, it was very nice of them. Special thanks to Miss Bow at the reception.
