We stayed here over 2 nights, and the room was very spacious! There is a balcony with a sink as well. The shower and toilet are in the same area and we found water dripped out of the shower curtains at times. We paid extra to early check-in and the hotel is relatively quiet as it is down an alleyway - the area felt safe even at night. It is located close to Chinatown and 15 minute walk to the train station (although this proved difficult when it was very hot to walk). There is a small tea break room in the lobby where you can purchase limited snacks.
We spent 3 nights as Pho Place in Banglok, which has a few rooms that are Zen Rooms. We booked as Zen Rooms as we were familiar with their standards. The hotel was at the end of a small alley off Yaowarat Road, so we were sheltered from the street hustle and bustle. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Sound in the hallway could be heard if the other guests were not courteous enough to keep their voices down. Yaowarat Road night time street stalls were just to the left of the hotel. Bangkok Hua Lamphong Train Station was a 10 to 15 minute walk away. We were also walking distance to the ferry terminals. We would stay here again if we were back in Bangkok.
It is a bit hard to find, but the place looks new, is clean and the service is kind. We stayed here specialy for Chinatown and because it is near the trainstation. The location is great. The room we had was spacious and even had a little balcony with a tap and sink. Not a bad place to stay.
We didn’t stay at this hotel, but we used the service of luggage storage. The place is very nice and clean. But what had us absolutely wowed were the people. When we arrived to pick up our luggage, we were offered to take a shower before leaving for the airport (which was amazing after we had spent the whole day wandering around Bangkok) and got some advice how to get there the easiest way. They were very nice and helpful! Thank you again! :)
The owner is the biggest clown i ever met! There was a little blood on the bed sheet from my girlfriend and they threw a big fit about it in front of other guests at the front. They wanted to charge a crazy rate and we asked if we could just clean the little spot. At first they said no so they could steal from us but we made a bid deal so they gave us the sheet and it washed out in minutes. I found out they don't clean their bed sheets to often is why they were mad. VERY DIRTY ROOMS WITH LOTS OF BROKEN ITEMS WHICH WE POINTED OUT SO THEY DIDN'T TRY TO MAKE US PAY. LOSER RUDE LADY AT THE FRONT AND THE OWNER NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT RESPECT! ALSO KING BED IS 2 BEDS PUSHED TOGETHER!
It's a good hotel in Chinatown is a good hotel in Chinatown. There's no breakfast but you can buy small things at the lobby if you need them. For the price though you can go buy breakfast 50 m away at a stand that serves the best food I had in Thailand. 50 Baht for a breakfast you'll never forget. The room is clean had a small balcony it was quiet I can't complain at all about this place. It wasn't your big fancy Bangkok Hotel but if that's not what you're looking for then this is the place for you.
I tried to check in early but they said it was full and of course they were lying. I went back in the afternoon instead and checked in. The room was clean and the beddings were clean. The pillows were soft and the matress was comfy. There was no kettle in the room but they had free hot water in the dining area of the hotel. One thing I noticed is the noise coming from the doors. I could here a loud sound everytime someone is closing their door, really loud. I think it comes with how the doors and locks were designed. This inn is a stone throw away from the main road but you won't hear the noise from the road when you are inside the guesthouse. The free wifi was good enough. They even have a computer desktop in the lobby for guests to use for free.
Bed is not really comfortable, but huge. Too much noise during the night. Poor breakfast (coffee is horrible!). Small bathroom, when u have a shower is all wet in one second. Very big room and cleaned properly and friendly staff. Location super! In the heart of chinatown!
Located down a quiet but safe walkway/small street next to the hospital right on the edge of Chinatown and no more than 15 minutes walk to Hua Lamphong train station. The Pho Place is a small, cosy, spotlessly clean hotel. Our room was a reasonable size with a huge comfortable double bed and air con. The bathroom was small but adequate. Tea and coffee was served downstairs next to reception as was breakfast at a small cost. All the staff we came across were helpful and friendly, giving us recommendations of places to go. Chinatown is a fabulous thriving place with shops and eateries at every turn. If we ever return to Bangkok, we wouldn't hesitate to stop at Pho Place again. Great value hotel.
We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a Nice spot in China town, near al the good food stalls! Not Every taxi driver knows the place. But please ask for hospital China town and the driver know (and you see pho place almost directly. The room was clean and quite modern with a huge comfortabel bed. The downside: the room was not really bright because of only a window on the left Side of the room. The bathroom was really dissapointing: quite simpel, no real hot water and all the bathroom Will be wet after showering....
