The staff of this hotel blocked my cab from leaving over a 5000 Baht ( $125) charge when they already had my credit card on file and could have added to my card as this hotel and hotels all over the world commonly do. Blocking my cab from leaving the hotel is false imprisonment and those responsive should be terminated and held criminally liable.
Quiet neigborhood. Nice staffs. Decent breakfast
Excellent public spaces and guestroom. We enjoyed the stay, perfect respite to the hustle and bustle of the city. Would love to see more local options in the in-dining menu. Other than that, top notch!!
One of my best stay at Bangkok. Will come back soon.
Awesome service and stay!! Only issue was contacting the hotel about being picked up from the airport (we had to take a taxi) & them requiring a credit card for a deposit which was not mentioned beforehand.
The Oriental Residence is a luxury hotel, right next door to the US and Netherlands Embassies, and walking distance (even in the oppressive heat of Bangkok) to Lumphini Park–where you can witness komodo dragons in their natural habitat. It's definitely not cheap, but it is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed. The suites are all corner apartments furnished with kitchens (and appliances) and the bathroom off the master bedroom has an uninterrupted 180 degree view from the tub. It's breathtaking even on the lower floors, but on or above the 6th floor it's gorgeous. The master bedroom also has 180 degrees of view on the opposite corner. This is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Bangkok, so supplies and amenities are priced higher than elsewhere. This is very close to the Rodeo Drive of Bangkok, and the traffic in this area can get very hectic at rush hour. That said, I doubt there is a more luxurious hotel in the city.
This is a fantastic hotel for families. We had a lovely stay and wished we could stay longer. The location is perfect if you want the city, but not too much craziness. The hotel staff was helpful and the room was clean and modern.
Very nice hotel, but expensive. Should be able to find a comparable hotel in a livelier area for 1/2 the price. Nice facilties, Friendly Staff, Very good breakfast.
Very well welcoming with big smile it makes me happy. Hotel is very clean and good smell all around around hotel especially swimming pool. Staff members are very well trained but it is not only that cause i can feel their service from ther inside heart. If i go back Bangkok I would definitely come back this hotel.
Luxury and elegance combined. Great location. Perfectly run. I truly recommend it.
The staff are not just friendly but literally seeking for ways to make your stay more comfortable. The rooms are beautifully appointed and clean. I'll certainly return upon my next visit to Bangkok.
Great, English speaking staff. Very clean and comfortable hotel.
