Rooms were very clean. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff were very nice and looked after me very well. If you're staying in the Chinatown area, you should definitely consider this hostel property. I had no issues whatsoever at this hostel.
We had a quadruple room so was less of a hostel and more of a budget hotel for us. Very good value. Very clean, and the staff were fantastic - couldn’t help enough. Breakfast was a little basic but good quality. WiFi free and fast. One thing I really liked, because this was a hostel you are welcome to check out and leave your luggage in the luggage room, then return at the end of the day to shower in their communal showers before you leave. It’s located in the centre of Chinatown and most places in Chinatown are easily walkable. As is the Hua Lamphong MRT station and train station to the other locations in Thailand (although a little further). Tuk Tuks pass the front don’t which seems like every 30 secs and charge about 200 baht for anywhere in central Bangkok - you should be able to negotiate down to 150 easily. Alternatively use the Grab app and pay around 100 baht or even less!
The area is fantastic, right in the centre of China town with amazing restaurants and street stalls all around. It's about a 10 minute walk to the closest metro station which is a bit more than comfortable in the heat but not too bad. The included breakfast is really great (especially at this price) and they make up your beds and give you fresh water every day. The closest you can get to hotel treatment in a hostel! The WiFi is not bad either and strong in all the areas we went to.
An excellent hotel in the middle of Chinatown. The room was new, clean and cozy. Breakfast was pretty good. The staff were so nice and helpful, even the guard. There are many many food stalls around at night so it's ideal for street food lovers to stay here. Besides, Hua Lamphong MRT station is only less than 1km away from the hotel, so it's easy to move to famous attractions of the city. There's nothing to complain about the hotel except sometimes the bathroom smelled a little bit unpleasant, but it wasn't a big problem at all. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to Bangkok.
Pozitive: The Breakfast was very good (fresh salads, orange jam, boiled eggs ...). The staff is very very friendly 10/10 The hotel is very clean, which is not very typical in Thailand. The hotel/hostel is located in the centre of China Town, great to stay there during Chinese New Year. Negative: A lot of stairs to the highest floor. Size of the private room could be bigger.
The rooms are very clean and it is located in the city center. Decent breackfast, same every day: boiled eggs with hot dogs and ham. The single minus would be the noisy location and if you are hard to sleep, better get some earplugs.
Pros - clean (hostel slippers is a good idea) - friendly attentive staff - good simple breakfast with essentials included in the price - good price - English speaking staff - possibility to pay by card - taxi service appreciated - stairs and calorie count is a smart idea Cons - windows and doors are not well insulated (can hear the noise of the street)
General Manager Ving Ving was the highlight of our stay she made the whole experience extra special she is very warm and kind, we were late by a few minutes one morning for breakfast and she made sure we got all we needed even boiling up some fresh eggs for us, very kind. we stayed in a private room, plenty of space a good shower. location right in heart of Chinatown it was amazing to be immersed in the thick of it. This hostel is clean comfortable and quiet.
We stayed in Norn Yaowarat for 4 nights in December 2018. It was a nice stay. We liked the family room which was suitable for 5 people, and we loved to stay in busy Chinatown. Breakfast was basic but okay, staff was kind and helpful. Only downside is that there is a lot of noice from the street early and late so if you are very sensitive to noise, perhaps this is not your hotel. However, we think that comes with the central location and for us it wasn't a problem. We missed a swimmingpool in the heat but except for that we recommend this place and may very well come back.
When you go somewhere so far away from your home, all you hope for is a warm welcome and to be treated well. That’s what you get in this cozy place. Staff is so helpful and kind! We had a tour early morning on our last day that lasted the whole day. Check out is at 11pm, so they let us to leave our bags there and take a shower on the way back. I couldn’t recommend it more.
