The location and facilities are very good to stay. Just crossing the ferry to go downtown and chinatown. Very clean ro and comfy. Suggest for foreigner to stay for the best riger view.

Executive lounge access was worth it! Amazing free breakfast and happy hour daily. Room was great. Great view. I read reviews that because it was ok the "wrong" side of the river, the location wasn't the best. I disagree. Hotel offers a shuttle across. And you can't beat the river views and a hotel with its own doc to get dropped off at by boat. Pool area was nice. Really have nothing bad to say. We were sad to leave!

No willingness to care of customers. If I were, would give several useful information on festival which would be held near the hotel beforehand.

Great hotel just on the other side of river. Perfect view of the skyline. From the minute we walked in we fell in love with the hotel. There is a market within 20 seconds of front entrance. Highly recommended.

Excellent staff; excellent breakfast buffet; great location for river taxi.

This was our 1st time in Thailand so I felt safer going with a Hilton. We reserved 2 rooms and they were clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent english. The location was perfect. Next to the hotel is right next to Klongsan Plaza. The 4th floor pool was an awesome place to hang out and drink. We just didn't spend enough time there to fully explore the hotel. I'd love to go back.

Overall Good experience, but Building and amenities are aged and need to be renovated. Without the location the price is far too high for Bangkok. Riverview Rooms are small, First Room smelled old, but we got a new room and lost the expensive view we paid for. As a former gold member we hoped at least for an upgrade after we stayed for two days in a smelly room.

My wife and I have stayed numerous times in Bangkok usually at the Shangri-la. Initially, our impression of the Milennium Hilton was that the room was a bit impractical (no drawers to put clothing for a 4 day stay). Location is good even though it is across the river but we liked taking the ferry which is both convenient to River City or the subway station... and it is a short and relaxing boat trip on a very interesting stretch of the river. To avoid potential traffic congestion to cross the bridge, even when checking in/checking out with baggage, consider taking a taxi to River City and then the Hilton ferry and vice versa ...and it is always easy to catch a taxi outside River City adjacent the Sheraton Royal Orchid. The staff are very friendly and professional. The views from the roof deck bar are simply grand. The ground floor restaurant/coffee shop excels and is much better than the Shangri-la which is supposed to be the best in town for a buffet style luncheon. The cheese selection is outstanding. They need to somehow address the adjacent nulla which can be a little odorous at times if one is in the open air sections on the ground floor area...and may also result in mosquito populations that appear to be a little higher than normal. The local market adjacent the hotel will likely thrill newcomers to Asia. Be adventurous and jump aboard the local ferry, also adjacent the hotel, and travel a few miles upstream and you'll pass lots of tourist attractions for only a few Thai baht (just get off when you've had enough and jump aboard another one heading back ). Definitely, this is our hotel for future stays in Bangkok.

My expectations were not fulfilled. I was on a businness trip to Bangkok and stayed in this hotel for three nights. Given the costly nightly rate, I was expecting more luxurious and comfortable rooms.

There is a magnificent river view where water taxis, longtail boats and at night dinner excursions are constantly flowing with their colorful lights. The staff could not be more gracious. Authentic Thai foods offered at breakfast. Close to the Royal Palace -a must see with the Emerald Buddha inside the grounds. A lovely cultural experience!!! Go to the close by Traditional Thai performance with multi course dinner!! Yum!

One of the best hotels in Bangkok especially if you take the executive plus suite with fantastic view on the Chao Praya river and the city.

While the hotel was on the "wrong side" of the river, the ferry made this irrelevant. It was easy to get to the river buses for a trip along the river to the major temples or a klong tour. The pool has chaise lounges in the water at the edge of the infinity pool from which you can watch the activity on the river. A great hotel.
