TIPS: Before coming ask for a room facing the Siam centre and the floor as high as possible.I asked for this, but there was no answer, anyhow I recommend it. So this review is going to more or less about my experiences in this hotel and my feelings. The hotel has amazing location 1 minute walk from the MBK centre and the huge Siam centre as well 50 meters from the hotel there is a train station and 7-eleven is located on the bottom floor. The rooms are amazing, pool outstanding. The gym is not offering almost anything beside the cardio machines, so if you are the gym person, its not fitting any good requirements. After our arrival I was expecting someone to come to our taxi and help us with the luggages as this is normal even in a 2 or 3 star hotels. Nothing like that happened and there was anyone on the ground floor to kinda welcome us and either help us with the luggage and take us to the reception as the reception is on the 9th floor and we were struggling for a while. After figuring out where to go, we came to reception where check in was really quick. Afterwards everything was alright. Btw the shower here is amazing! Next thing that is not working here is the breakfast. This is a disaster. There is no-one to coordinate the staff. Some kinda restaurant manager or chef-de-rang. everybody is doing everything and it looks like they are having a total chaos. Buffe was almost always empty, even when something was refilled people took everything after few minutes because the waiting time was long. 3 times we had breakfast, once we waited 20 minutes for the eggs and twice it did not even come. At the station on the terrace there was no one in 15 minutes and even after asking it took another 15 minutes to get there someone, so it was self-service after someone from the staff noticed you being actually there. The hotel has to work on the staff coordination and the breakfast flow a lot.Someone who would coordinate the staff, select some buffer runners, someone to clean and reset tables and someone to take the orders for coffee/tea and eggs.In fact of we paid extra for the breakfast it was not that good and we would *not* definitely do that. The last thing, the breakfast is total a *disaster* from a hospitality point of view as well the service. Next thing is the internet connection. You will get login information after arrival, but you need to login each time you even put your phone on charger. This is really annoying, as one of us staying there has a business back in country and has to be in touch via emails and other apps, the login information had to be put in about 50 times a day what gets pretty annoying. Oh yeah, one more thing. If you want your room to get cleaned, put a sign from outside your door, because otherwise there is no cleaning getting done. (never seen this before not even in a 2 or 3 star hotel) Next time visiting Bangkok, we will be definitely aiming for either better 4 star or for the price we paid we could found a 5star hotel with no doubts. In the end, I just have to say that we were kinda disappointed after all the amazing review we have read.
We were with 2 more friends! the hotel is really nice! the view of the sity fro the room is amazing! The location for shopping is perfect! One block distance from the malls! Good breakfast! It seems to be a meeting/working hotel Thanks!
hotel was quite clean - but difficult to reach as lower part of the building is for IBIS hotel and only upper levels belong to MERCURE hotel: so you have to change elevator and MERCURE reception level and take another one for MERCURE rooms. breakfast: food selection OK - but not sufficient tables and chairs as there were many tourist groups and thy yould not handle requeste service properly - but staff was always friendly and tried to help. Very easy access to MBK and other shopping malls around in walking distance
Fantastic dream location!! Siam discovery, siam square, MBK and National Stadium BTS, all literally next to hotel, what more can I ask for!! Shopping aplenty, food choices aplenty in those Malls mentioned and ease of transportation! Breakfast was great ! Egg station available too! Didn't realised I left my jacket after check out, the front staff supervisor Sriluck , actually managed to give a call to the breakfast restaurant , so the staff there could inform me to retrieve my jacket. Kudos to the team! Our room came with nice sofa bed foc, which is comfortable even for an adult like myself. So my 9 yr old Son gets to sleep in the same room foc. Plus he gets breakfast too ! FYI: Just next street to the hotel is a massage shop Gold Hands Massage (1 hr 250bht) and slightly 100-150m down the street towards Holiday Inn is Lek Massage (1hr 300 bht). IMHO Lek massage is more professional and comfortable.
I was staying there for three nights and room is very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice. I will go back to this hotel if i will go Thailand again. Surrounding is very convenient. Thank you.
No secret I am a big fan of this hotel and this is just my last experience I want to share. This Bangkok is first stop on an extended South-East Asia trip. My Mom joined me, going first time to Asia so I wanted everything to be perfect. I mailed the hotel upfront to ensure we get rooms as high as possible and with view towards Siam square. Once arriving at the hotel I was nicely welcomed and informed we got an upgrade and our rooms arranged as requested with view in right direction. So 28th floor with amazing view (day and night) over Bangkok. What a start! We stayed for 3 nights before moving on, during this time we enjoyed Bangkok a lot. At the pool, in bar, wherever you are, the service is always outstanding and all staff tries best to fulfil any request. For me this is and remains the only choice in Bangkok. A big thank you to the team for the stay. Hope to be back soon again!
It was a great place to stay at, it was like heaven for me as a platinum member, got free upgrades, access to executive lounge was a privilege, close to local food, shopping center and train station also the stadium
Hi, our family check in on the 10 and check out on the 12 June. It was our third time staying there, we love our room it was very clean and comfortable. For room 1903, my nieces was complaining that the free wifi was not working well and keep disconnecting. Other then that we all love our stay there. However, we were not very happy with our breakfast. We were there at about 9am for both days, but most of the dishes are empty and the top up takes forever. Nobody was at the noodle station outside and we were made to stand there to wait for about 10mins. Also there are birds flying in at the stall. We requested for eggs but the order was missing for one day, and we had to wait for another 15mins. I would think it was because of the lack of manpower. Hope this can be improved. Overall it was really a nice comfortable hotel at good location.
Comfy beds, great location, nice staff and a fantastic roof top oasis. This really was an excellent choice of places to stay. You are literally 2min walk to MBK and Siam Discovery. There is a skyrail station out the front door, but you dont hear a thing. The views are spectacular especially from the roof top bar. This hotel has a convenience store in the lobby, floors 1-6 are parking, lower floors are the Ibis, floor 9 is the Mercure lobby, Floor 8 is breakfast, the higher floors ar the Mercure with a fantastic bar and deck on the roof and a Privilege club on floor 25 with a fantastic lounge and deck plus free drinks for 2 hours daily. Our room got a leak in some very heavy rain, they immediately moved us, they took our bags while we where out and they gave us free access to the Privilege club for the following 3 days. Cant ask for more that that. The breakfast had lots of variety and plenty of seating. It was one of the best breakfast we had in our 16 day trip through Vietnam and Bangkok. You can get train or uber or cab to the airport pretty cheaply.
