We have stayed here many times since we discovered Mestyle Place in 2012 and have had many great and mixed experiences but a few things remain the same. As others have stated, Mestyle Place is off the beaten path and not easy to get to if you are not sure of the location. This, in our view, is a good thing. If you want to be on Khao San Road, Sukhumvit or Silom in the mix of all the chaos that is quintessential Bangkok then I would stay there. Where Mestyle Place is located is far from the tourist trail and much more local life within Bangkok. The people here are really friendly with the exception of the restaurant staff. The restaurant staff do not have proper customer service etiquette and like others have stated can, on occasion, be rude. The food here is pricey yet great which is a shame that the staff needs training. This is the only thing I would like to see changed about Mestyle Place. The front desk staff are always helpful and smiling as are the housekeeping staff, who don't speak much English but are delightful. The security guards out front can and will get you transportation to the MRT either via taxi or mototaxi. Usually it's 40-50 baht for taxi or 25 baht per mototaxi As far as the hotel goes the the design details are unique and remarkable, the rooms have similar amenities to each other but each is laid out slightly different. The beds are harder than western standards and are great for the back. The washrooms are basic but they have a wide range of toiletries on the counter. Most rooms have a patio which may or may not have a chair and table, usually not. The a/c units are cold, the showers are hot and tv's have a fair selection of channels depending on you language. The pool is adequate but my wife doesn't like the lack of sun for most of the day, otherwise it is great for a swim. The gym has air con and a good selection of equipment. The surrounding location of the hotel has many services including local restaurants, massage, 711's, laundry, coffee, etc. The restaurant directly across the street has the best food! We plan to stay here again and definitely look forward to it.
My family and I just stayed here for 2 nights. The place and room is clean, stylish and comfortable. One staff in reception is not so good in accommodating as he can't understand clearly English. Restaurant is good and staff are amazing. Price is reasonable. The only problem is the it's location. very far from BTS and shopping mall. If you want a relaxing and peaceful stay, choose this place, but if you prefer shopping and tour, better to find nearby BTS station.
Unique and a cool hotel with deco nicely done and plenty of car park lots in front of the hotel. Lobby and cafe area is nicely done with industrial / wooden design which is very much to my liking. Room is also spacious but the air conditioning in the room I stayed is not as cold as I want. Water pressure is low which makes the shower experience a little unpleasant.
the location's far from the city, if you go out around for some tour, better not go back to rest because it's far from the city center, far from train stations. the nearest station's suthissan but need to take a cab to get there. the bathroom are old, the staff was very helpful tho.. near chatuchak market.
We stayed 2 nights in MeStyle place. We found it very difficult to find, no taxi or Tuk Tuk driver seemed to know where it was either. It's not too far from a subway station tho, but we did get lost a few times trying to find our way back from the subway stop. It's a shame it's so hard to find because once you're there it's a lovely hotel. It's really quirky and has a really cool lobby. The cafe is cool too and served us up a nice breakfast.
Location of this hotel is bad for tourist. Yes, it's in Ratchada area but it is situated in a very small road connected to small road and the only way to go out would be by motor-taxi or taxi. The hotel decoration is very nice, from old classic car to nice motorcycle to bicycle hanging on the ceiling. Checkin was fast but checkout was somewhat slow. The room is average. If you need a hotel with easy translation then this is not a good choice. But if you have your own car, then try this once - the price is right.
I stayed MeStyle Place several times; but this time it was very different.. Once I missed my international flight to Bangkok, Mestyle reservation reps smoothly changed my accommodation accordingly even though it was paid on non-refundable promotional rates.. I stayed 4 nights this time.. Grateful to reception staff! They are doing perfect job.. Pros: Polite/practical staff, convenient location, clean & comfortably spacious rooms, unbeatable rates, good restaurant open until late, taxi/motorbike in-front, terrific atmosphere in every corner, quite fast free wi-fi, parking lots, nearby 50mt to 7/11 store open 24hrs Cons: Not much.. I can only say hotel is not on the main road (Ratcahadapisek Rd) Thats all.. I think if were on main road, rates would be so high for sure..
First off, the location. The hotel is tucked away in a pretty obscure alley, which can make it hard to find on your own or even in a taxi. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have the hotel phone number handy if you're going to take a taxi so the staff and let them know how to get there. Secondly, being tucked away that it is, it's not super close to many things, like restaurants. Food is about a 10 minute walk away, but in the oppressive summer heat, this can make the walk feel 100 times longer. But, the room! I stayed in Grand Deluxe room, which is essentially MeStyle Place's suite option. The room is spacious, although the pictures on the website make it look a little bigger than it actually is. But, the bed was comfortable, the bathrooms clean and the air conditioner worked well (which is harder to find than you might think). The staff was friendly and helpful and the interior design is really unique. The food was OK - nothing too special. Rooms can be booked to include breakfast and the American-style fare is serviceable, if not memorable. For the value and the amount of space you get, MeStyle Place is a tremendous deal. You will, though, have to content with a location that's out of the way. But, that'll just give you a cool opportunity to get out and explore.
I've stayed here a few times and I still love it. The sleep quality is great and the food is fab. But...It's beginning a slow decline as far as the service is concerned. It's a trendy hotel, staffed by young people and this stay, there just seemed to be a smile lacking or a feeling of being welcome. The beds are really comfortable but the towels look well used. The shower head was too lose to remain standing and there was a sound of running water somewhere in the ceiling. At breakfast, I noticed that the wrong meals were served twice while we were there. Theses are small things but they need to be addressed. I really like this place but it needs to return to its old ways. Please.
poor wifi connection... Its really difficult to find the hotel location.. foods are awesome... vintage interiors are good... sfafs are kind... good looking rooms... recommended for couples.. :) :) :) oo
