Marvel Hotel Bangkok4.0 out of 5.0

This hotel located on the small road, so the traffic jam often happened in the rush hours. The room is quite old. The staff is nice. The breakfast buffet is so boring, the chefs filled food very slow. There are many good restaurants and bars near hotels.
We stayed in the Month of March, we had booked our stay from MakeMyTrip. We had come for our honeymoon and were 2 couples. It was just horrible. Our package included stay in pattaya- grand bella and bangkok in marvel hotel. Defining the stay- We were on our honeymoon both me and my friend, we requested them to upgrade us and they upgraded us to a twin room. I mean who in the right mind upgrades couples on honeymoon to twin room that too interconnecting We again called up the reception to change the room and checked back into the base category. The entire experience was so painful. They have central AC which was pushing out stale damp air. We as it were not well and fell ill by evening. I had to take my wife to the hospital near by and they gave her medicine for lung infection. it was such a painful experience. My friend's wife also fell ill. We couldnt do anything in bangkok and had to stay back in the hotel. wasting our 2 night stay. The food is a basic buffet breakfast. No indian food unlike the other hotels, they had kept rice for breakfast. I was astounded. Cut fruits had banana and papaya. Ginger hotel in india serves better breakfast and is a relative 4 star compared to this. The employees want money and directly ask for it as tip. we had a service guy who kept following us and telling that he will arrange a cheap tour and that we should book through him and not tell it to anyone. Thankfully there is a restaurant at the entrance which serves a little overpriced food. But gave us respite. Horrible experience, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
I was here twice back to back with two different groups staying at this hotel and I found this property a great place to stay, location is on Soi 22 close walking distance to Sukhumvit. The downside is there is not much of a parking area outside the hotel for coaches and the road is narrow. Once you are inside you are liked after very well, the staff are very helpful and courteous, I would like to bring to the notice of the management and guests in general that they have two great staff I noticed on both occasions one is Mr.Ian Mark in the Reception he was ever so helpful, soft spoken and polite, thank you Mr. Ian for your help, much appreciated. Second person I found who single handled managed to keep the guests happy with her services was Ms.Ning at the hotel restaurant. During the morning rush hour during breakfast she was able to keep her cool and serve guests, replenishing the empty dishes, organising hot milk and hot water for a few guests, clearing dishes and with her million dollar smile that radiated from her heart, she I found was someone who took pride and enjoyed her work. Thank you Ms.Ning. The rooms are clean and comfortable it has all the amenities in place, if only they could replace the analogue TVs it would look more spruced up. They had a writing desk a sofa and chairs which were comfortable. The bathroom was having all the amenities and spotless. There is an in-house spa which is open from 4 PM to 4 AM and offer traditional massage at reasonable rates. A few of my group members tried the various traditional massages and said it was very good. The hotel has a swimming pool on the 6th floor it was an average size pool. They have a nice lobby with nice pleasing decor with a well stocked bar. Great ambience, where one can relax and chill out with friends. The breakfast spread offered was mainly for Chinese, Japanese and Korean guests Indians had to make do with bread, butter, jam, cereals and fruits. I wish they could introduce some Indian menu would be great. This is definitely a wonderful place to stay at affordable prices. Try it and you will not be disappointed.
We spent 2 nights and 3 days in this hotel. Its an average old hotel need some makeover.Room was clean but too much of furniture make it looks crowded.Bath room need lot of changes to make it comfortable.Coming out from bathtub was not easy as the tub was high.Staff members were pleasant and helpful
Hallways bit smelly room needs makeover too much furniture makes room small & bathroom awkward. Include breakfast was ok. Not bad location to stay. Staff was pretty nice, went late for breakfast 1 day & they still cooked us fresh eggs.
I found the hotel to be good. The swimming pool is average. The room was clean. The receptionist were good. But the star of the hotel was Ning who operates in the restaurant and the hotel bar . Very professional and always had a smile for everyone. I have already recommended this hotel to another friend of mine on Ning's professionalism .
Hotel seems to be old in the middle of city. A big disappointment when i saw bathroom were taps are not properly working and TV is also not working properly when it come to entertainment. At first instance hotel seems to be impressive but later on you will come to know that it is more likely an average budgeted hotel.
i want to be suggest for breakfast. you will need to be palace many kind of food. alot of people are coming from asian . so, many kind of food are need . but its ok for me . last time i come to you hotel with my family . my parent do not like your food . thank you
small hotel, well located in soi 22, clean. reception staff are nice. at 12 if you did not do the check out, they will remind you to do so perfect to be as a stop over during your stay in bangkok. you got smoking room and non smoking, will advise to go for a non smoking even if you do smoke.
I had good time in this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect with low price as compare to other. Staff service is good, but rooms are having quite old look. The view from the room is awesome if you get a room on higher floor.
