We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It's a hidden small hotel, but we liked its modern, stylish and comfortable atmosphere. Staff were kind and friendly, the room was large and nicely designed. We could select breakfast from some choices, which was not buffet style. It was convenient in just a few minutes walk from Sukhumvit and Asok stations, Terminal 21. We left early in the morning, then they even prepared a small breakfast boxes for us!
A great choice to stay in Bangkok, great service and great food. Rooms are really great and the concept that you can check out and inn at almost any time is a rare thing in Bangkok. Staff is professional, not too many smiles here, but service is very professional.
I chose this hotel due to the high ratings in TripAdvisor and it did not let me down! My husband and I stayed here for two nights just few days before. In terms of location it is just few minutes walk from BTS Asok station. There is a convenient store just few steps away and also there are many coffee shops and street food stalls nearby. The room is extraordinary! We got an upgrade to a corner room and it is huge! The bathroom is spacious with sufficient toiletries. It is equipped with a jacuzzi with bath salt provided. Room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. They use silky like material for the bed sheets which is really impressive! Free minibar with soft drinks, coconut drinks, coffee and snacks. Besides, the breakfast is outstanding. Not only because they have many choices for the breakfast, they all taste very good and it is served until 2:30pm in the restaurant! What a good news to anyone who wants to wake up late. I requested a late check out on the last day due to late flight time and they accommodated to make my check out time at 4pm. Overall the staff are nice and welcoming except the two ladies who helped me during the check in. They did not have any smiles and just answered my questions like a robot. Other staff working in the restaurant and bar are nice and polite. Maduzi is fantastic and I will definitely stay again and recommend to others!
My wife and I stayed at the Maduzi for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I booked it online rather hastily and without my wife’s input, and when we realised that there was no pool we were I little disappointed. My wife was complaining and scolding me as women often like to do. When we got to the hotel on Soi16 the taxi let us out where we could see the hotel should be on the map, but we couldn’t actually see it. We were at the back of the building as it turned out and it didn’t look very nice. I was nervous but hopeful, my wife was cranky and moany. This was supposed to be a 5star! We arrived in Bkk at 5:30am having traveled for ten hours on a coach from Mukdahan in the Isaan province. The time was just after six am and we hadn’t arranged for an early check-in. Normal check-in time in most hotels is 14:00. We walked through a pedestrian entrance beside the drive in entrance which was closed at the time, and only then got our first glimpse of the hotel. The courtyard was an oasis of calm and tranquility, secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city. The natural stone cobbled area was small but sufficient and the front entrance was beautiful and very stylishly adorned with natural stone and marble. The large door swung open as we approached and we walked in. It’s not glitzy modern, it’s not, in anyway false or trying to be something it’s not. It’s authentic, natural and genuine. It was done to a level of taste and expense that I think few people would comprehend. I’ve worked in the areas of interior design and installation. I have an eye for interior fit out design and quality. The Maduzi is a relatively small hotel of seven floors but beautifully designed and it appears as though no expense was spared. I’m talking about large slabs of white marble floor with uniform, parallel pattern of natural coloration lending to invisible joins, combined with wide boards of a beautiful dark wood. You won’t find very much plastic in this hotel but you will find lots of natural stone and marble, walnut and oak real wood, lots of full grain leather, glass, steel and quality lighting. Polished porcelain and quartz stone set with very fine and narrow grout lines. The curved walls and clever design make this a unique experience. The staff member checked to see if our room was available but it wasn’t so she moved us to another room on a lower floor which was larger and we liked it very much. Just inside our hotel room door a white quartz stone counter top with an espresso machine and underneath was the mini bar/refrigerator which was free. It didn’t have any alcoholic drinks, and that was ok. I was delighted with the classic cafeteria style espresso machine and I made good use of it. Going on into the bedroom, the first thing I saw and got straight to it was the Bose Acoustimas sound system with a 3.5mm headphone jack wrapped up at the back to plug into your phone. We always bring our little bose mini-soundlink Bluetooth speaker with us but the sound of this system with the satellite speakers and hidden sub-woofer was better. The bed was huge and the pillows were huge too and feather-down filled. The bed was nearly ten foot by ten foot. The mattress was 9’x9’ and the linen was extremely high quality and beautiful too. It was high thread count cotton woven with silk in a roughly 50/50 blend. Exquisite. The air-con was very effective, very quiet and you couldn’t see it. I turned the tap on to fill the Jacuzzi and I got a fright, the water cam down from the ceiling and it was hot straight away. The shower was very good too. It worked perfectly and was easy to use. It’s hard to get all these things right. It really is. The writing desk had envelopes, plenty of paper, two pencils and a small black rubber cube with the Maduzi logo on it, in case you made a mistake. Ordinarily it would be almost impossible to bring my wife around to loving a hotel and giving it her five star thumbs up, after the less than grand start and after me booking it hastily and without her help. But when I said on the second day, “ five star or not darling?” Chiiay she said. (Yes) With a hint of resentment. What else could she say! We will be going back for sure. It was the good reviews I read that helped me choose the Maduzi (Clever name too means ‘come have a look’ in Thai) so I think it’s only fair that I offer my review too. I think It’s a Charming Hotel.
Except the fixed shower head and the weak hydraulic pressure, I am extremely satisfied with all the things within this small luxury hotel, especially the breakfast. Every dishes I ordered in breakfast was super delicious and healthy. My boyfriend is a person who usually does not wake up for breakfast in the morning unless the breakfast is very delicious. This time he had breakfast with me for four consecutive mornings incredibly! Of course, one more reason is that the breakfast serves until 2 p.m. which is very suitable for those who cannot wake up in the morning. The free drink and snacks include 100% fruits juice and dried flat banana which are also healthy with good taste. And of course, as a SLH, the design and atmosphere of the hotel is awesome. Especially the bed sheets, it feels like silk, amazingly comfortable. I even hope to buy a same set for my own home. I will definitely come back again when I visit Bangkok next time.
We stayed in family last week in their corner Suite - The staff, the Suite, and the amazing breakfast/lunch served till 14.30! The location in the middle of Sukhumvit, is a perfect one! It was the second time we visited it and we will come back for sure - Our Top Best in Bangkok.. Thank you for all !!!
We found the Maduzi a perfect match. Staff is friendly and helpful. rooms were clean and spacious. The next metro sukhumvit is 3min Away. Late check out was perfect. There are some nice Restaurants around. Prices are valuable. We will come back!
Although we only spent one night here as we were on a cruise - I would highly recommend staying here good value for money- location very good near to sky train, rooms were brilliant, staff were excellent - to the point of pushing one of our family members in his wheelchair to the skytrain terminal ! breakfast was also v good - lots of choice. If I'm ever in Bangkok again will definitely stay here
Nice small hotel. Excellent staff. No swimming pool and the gym is really depressing. Dark.. Lonely.. Strange equipment.. Better to go to a normal gym nearby. Breakfast is not buffet so takes about 30 minutes. Staff lovely but makes quite a lot of mistakes.. Noisy area and the noise does get into the room at night. Glass door to toilet and shower is open so good if you are alone or with the wife but less if with children.
This is my 3rd time staying here, so I'll keep it brief(er). They just make it so easy to stay here: Show up early? They have a room: no problem, they'll check you right in, no extra charge. Want late check-out? If they don't have anyone coming into the room, no problem, no extra charge either! Also, it's incredibly convenient to the Sukhumvit shopping area with both Skytrain and MRT just a few minute walk away...you don't even have to cross an intersection! Rooms are all comfortable; vary in size. Wireless internet is excellent. Only drawback (and unfortunately this is something to consider): they have no pool
