- Luk Hostel is still not finished so it real it doesn't look like on pics (which are just the plan how it WILL look like), especially the common areas. - Rooms are spread around 3 floors but washrooms are only on one of the floors. It's a bit annoying when you have to go at night. - Out of 6 showers, only 2 of them have doors that are possible to close (female washroom). - There are no daily activities as claimed on the hostel's profile which was really disappointing as that was the reason why I picked that place. I asked at the front desk about it and they said that they will organise sth but there is no plan, not mentioning informing people at the hostel in advance about it (so that you are able to plan your time in Bangkok). - I found a used condom next to my bed and informed the staff about it. I was asked if I want my bedsheet to be changed and I said no because I have my clothes and many things on my bed. When I was gone they came and changed my sheets and still did not clean what asked to be cleaned. - Lockers below beds are not safe. Even if you put a lock on it, you can still open it a bit and put a hand inside to take sth out
The staff were all so lovely, really really friendly and funny! & host daily events. Recommend the ‘street food buffet’ for only 100bht The building itself is so pretty Everywhere is so clean Breakfast was really good! (Boiled eggs, toast, cereal, potatoes, veggies, tea & coffee!) Such good value for money Cannot fault really enjoyed my stay!
The hosts here are very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a private room, which was immaculately clean and had one off the strongest ACs, which was perfect after walking through the Bangkok heat and humidity. Never had to wait for the bathrooms, which were clean, even though there were two large groups in the hotel with me. Very near everything you’d want in Chinatown. Other than that, it’s about a 10 min grab ride to the grand palace.
This place is excellent. It’s only opened recently I believe and you can tell, everything is in excellent condition and clean. The man on the reception (sorry I didn’t get a name) went above and beyond to help. The rooms and spacious, beds comfortable, A/C is the best I’ve experienced and the bathrooms are great. The rooftop bar is also excellent, a good way to meet people. If you aren’t sure where in Bangkok to stay, i would avoid khaosan road and head here. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in I’d say with everything considered.
Amazing Hostel, right in the middle of Chinatown. Great streetfood in the area. The hostel is brand new so all the facilities are super clean , nice dormrooms or private with compfy beds! Rooftop bar and big lounge area with air con to hang out on a hot day. TV room with PS4! Also the staff was super friendly and helpful in every situation! Even helped us find a stream for the GOT final :D They will help you with bookings and have group activities everyday, so great to socialize and meet other travelers. Aaand the cocktails are amazing🍸
I stayed here for two nights while I explored Bangkok at the end of my Thailand trip. The facilities are top notch for a hostel. The building appears to have continued construction on the lower floors and some public areas (contractors from 11:00-17:00). However, I didn't find the work distruptive. The rooms and public areas are all very modern and everywhere has AC including the room that I stayed in. The location is excellent - right in the heart of Chinatown which is accessible by rail from the airport (with a connector train). The bathrooms are massive (no ensuite) with free amenities and huge heated rainforest style showers. I wasn't offered a towel on check in and am not sure if they are provided (I had my own anyways so I didn't ask). The staff were all warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond during registration and recommending things to do in the city. The hostel is for a quieter crowd, which is what I was looking for. There are no social evening activities etc, so if that's what you are seeking then maybe not the best. There are plenty of party focused hostels which can provide this. But if quiet, comfortable, clean and central is what you need then this is the place. My only negative comment would be pricing in the bar. You cannot bring in outside alcohol (even in the indoor section), which is understandable but it is also quite expensive for food and beverages. It wasn't a big deal as there are other options close by, it just discouraged me from spending money or eating there. I never tried the breakfast but I heard it was good from other guests (included in the room rate) In short, I highly recommend this hostel. They are a new business and are hitting all the marks in my opinion (facility, service etc) Thanks for a great stay.
Luk is a very new hostel and it was such an amazing experience to be one of their first guests. The hostel is beautiful and I can see it becoming a hidden gem of Chinatown. My bed was big and extremely comfy, by far the best bed I had in Asia. I was also surprised with the shower, because I wasn't expecting to be so good. Staff was more than friendly and they helped me a lot. As a solo female traveler, they were really able to help me feel safer in Bangkok and plan my trip a bit better. Chinatown is quite a different destination, but I loved it. It can be quite crazy, but it was worth it to explore and close to public transportation. I'm sure this will be one of the best hostels in town!
This hostel just opened on 6th April, and I'm the one of the first guests. I chose this hostel because the hostel price is so cheap, perhaps its an opening promotion price. And I'm not regret booking this hostel. The hostel really beautiful and the staff always help me to fulfill my request like provide another locker for me to put my laptop and find the taxi to airport in the early morning. I really recommend this place.
A primo impatto è tutto bellissimo e nuovo.
