We stayed here in December 2017 as a family of four on the final night before leaving Bangkok at the end of our three week trip. Why bring my kids to a hostel?? 1. I want them to see what hostels are like, so when they begin planning their own travel adventures one day (and paying for them!), they will know that hostels are a perfect budget option. They won't always have mom and dad to pay for everything. 2. I adore hostels, because they allowed me to travel on a budget when I was younger. They've certainly changed, now they offer so many amenities. You can appreciate hostels at any age! Lub d Bangkok - Siam has many great features: - Location. You can't beat it. It's at the intersection of Anything St. and Everything Rd. Seriously. We crammed some last minute shopping at MBK so it was perfect, just up the stairs. And my husband had to run back over to Banglamphu where he had some shirts on order, so he hopped on BTS to the river. -Cleanliness: It was spotless. We stayed in a mixed dorm for four. The bathrooms were very clean as well. -Bathrooms: Speaking of the bathrooms, the shower was the best one I had in all three weeks! It was so hot with strong water pressure. Perfect.. -Laundry: We were able to get all of our laundry done so we left Thailand with ZERO diry laundry. Epic. -Staff & Vibe: It's really welcoming, we saw another family so all are welcome. Front desk staff was nice, and when we had an issue with one of the dryers it was immediately addressed. I highly recommend Lub d Bangkok.
I really liked this hostel. It was neat and clean and the location is quiet good as well. Every other area is like 20mins far from the hostel. It's has connectivity of skytrain as well. National stadium is the nearest. You can easily get a shuttle bus from the airport which will take you to the nearest skytrain station. Well I liked this place.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great location, friendly and welcoming staff, and super comfortable dorms with clean showers and bathrooms - what more could you ask for from a hostel!
This is the second time I stayed here. I love most of everything about this place. It's really cozy in the heart of Bangkok. Central location and just a door step from BTS sky train at National Stadium makes your journey at it's own convenient. Staff was great and much helpful. Super clean shared bathroom and I love those warm feeling when I'm here, second home in a foreign land.
We booked this hotel for 1 night. There were 4 of us so we booked the ladies dorm. We all had individual cards for the bedside light. The bathroom was clean and big, only the hot water wasn't hot enough for me. The only downfall is because it was end of the year they had bands singing and it was really noisy but all the noise stopped around 12:30 am so if you are an early sleeper then this place is not for you. The hotel is located right in the center, so you could just walk round all the shopping malls without getting on a bus / BTS. The staff are very friendly and helpful (even good looking, hee hee). Will definitely come back
Avoid this hostel, I was bitten by bed bugs. I am just regretting not reading reviews here but on booking.com only (here are plenty complaining on this on tripadvisor). The staff always reply with some nice promise but apparently never gets resolved. Positive: common areas, bar, bathrooms, all OK but for the price you get bed bugs. ---------- No recomiendo, hay chinces, me han picado como 15 veces.
This trendy place is located just on the MRT station, so easy to get around. Free luggage storage which really helped me! Great lounge to chill, clean cold rooms, great bathroom, very clean. Has a homey vibe to it whcih I really loved. Ended up staying here twice, they let me check in early too as I reached Bangkok at 5 in the morning!
I literally stayed here less than 12 hours on an overnight in Bangkok but had a good experience. It was very clean, the staff was friendly. The 4 room lady dorm was small but clean and had shelves and plugs at each bunk and lockers.
I got recommended this hostel on my first trip to Thailand for there showers alone as they are great the first time I visited this hostel 2 years ago they had a outside bar they set up each night which was great to mingle with other travellers they didn’t have this bar this time round which was a shame because it kind of felt a bit flat without it no one sitting out side etc but that didn’t take anything away from the hostel it’s self it’s a great place to stay and the staff are so helpful one Ladie even out my iPhone to Thai language To direct a grab driver was very pleased and would always stay here when in Thailand this time round I was with the girlfriend so we had private dorms so having stayed in both private and shared I can highly recommended them both
Again, it was an amazing experience to stay in Lub d Bangkok – Siam (for the 7th time). You guys didn’t disappoint us for our entire stay (we’re a group of 6). Supposedly I’m the only one who will go to Bangkok but my friends joined my trip and I recommended to stay in this hotel. A lot of good thing they experienced are: Hotel location - hotel is located outside BTS National Stadium, No hassle when doing a round trip from Airport to the hotel or going somewhere that will take a train ride. Rooms - clean and organized, Common Toilet – always clean from time to time. Staff - even though some of the staff I’ve met before were no longer there, their Staff remains friendly and approachable. Oh by the way, we arrived around 10AM and they allowed us to do an early check-in (which was I experience for the first time – kudos!). They also offered a free tour during our stay (Friday) going to Golden Mount & Wat Ratchanatdaram Woravihara temples. We met some of the Staff from Lub d Bangkok – Silom during the tour and I find them very friendly and nice to be with. I will do recommend this hostel to all my friends. Sorry, I forgot to give tip to those staff who joined our tour but I will see you again guys early next year and will give something like a small token or food from our Country.
