Don't ever stay here! We paid extra for a supposedly better room that was a shoebox. There was no storage for personal belongings. The bed was as hard as the floor, which was a shame as we were looking forward to a decent bed. Our window "view" was a concrete wall. This window provided little additional light so we had to have the lights on all the time. There was only one t.v. channel in English and no guide of any kind, a website would have sufficed. The bathroom was small as well and in desperate need of a proper clean. There was mould on the tiles. Behind the toilet was liquid that I didn't want to touch. The worst thing about the shower was for our entire stay we had no hot water, even after talking to reception and housekeeping. Not impressed. Their Wi-Fi was also not great. Yes it's free but at the very least it should be reliable. Nope. Then there is the pool that looks NOTHING like the website. It was pathetically small, the only positive about the rooftop area was the bar which has good staff. The reception team are unhelpful, and can't or won't help you beyond checking you in or out. Tried to book a taxi to the airport and they couldn't do it, we had to walk down the road and get one ourselves. Avoid this place, it is a one star at best.
We were so happy in Bangkok that did not mind the hotel as much but at night is extremely noisy. The pool does not look as in the picture at all. Next time we will definitely stay in another location. the good thing is that it was walking distance to the Grand Palace and surrounding temples. Better that a hostel.
+++++ low price , friendly staff and excellent Wi-Fi.. maids are so polite and helpful . a lady who works at front office always cared about what I need for ------ I can't find anything to write as a bad comment nice place to stay
We stayed here to start our month long travels across Thailand, as khao San road was highly recommended. The hotel is located in the heart of khao San road, which has both good and bad points. Our room was located in the 'amber' building, which is at the front of the hotel. Due to the location we found it very hard to get to sleep or even any sleep. The music starts at around 10pm and continues on until 3am. However this is not the hotels fault and guests staying at the hotel are mainly young individuals travelling and therefore won't mind the noise. To counteract getting no sleep we slept for 1 hour each afternoon and then headed out to either khao San road to party or night markets and arrived back at the hotel in the early hours. The rooms don't look as they do on Booking.com and are very small, but clean and have the essentials. Like everything you get what you pay for, therefore the hotel was acceptable.
Stayed here for 4 nights and wasn’t overly impressed. Stayed in the Amber room in the tower part of the hotel which was small, dark and right at the front of the hotel therefore it was so loud there was no way we could sleep. We had to upgrade to a Violet room and although much better, we had to pay a lot extra just to get some sleep. Room smelt very damp and was bathroom was grubby and bed was hard. My boyfriend had a burger and it was raw when served to him but they have him a refund. Cleaners were really loud in the mornings, slamming doors and shouting to each other. Pool was nice however.
Stayed here for a night prior to leaving Bangkok. So far it's not that bad for its amenities and services. It's located in the center of Khao San Road which is really great for ease of access to coffee shops, convenient stores, bars and tourist agencies.
In the heart of all the craziness of Khao San Road and lovely rooms. Perfect for a budget traveller or a couple. Be warned though, if you don't want a party DO NOT STAY HERE. We went to get an "early night" the night before our flight to Chiang Mai and ended up in the street drinking Chang's at 4am .. you literally are in the centre of a massive party. The rooms were clean and good service. The breakfast looked a little shoddy but when there are fresh fruit stalls outside you can't really go wrong. Would definitely stay again!
We arrived early morning and the hotel was VERY easy to get to, train from BKK and thereafter 100 baht taxi dropped us at the end of Khoa San Road where it was just a short walk to the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and allowed us to check in 3 hours early. I had read reviews saying it was excellently located but I didn't appreciate just how central on Khoa San Road the hotel was. The room was a good size and had everything we needed, we got lucky and our room was rear facing, we couldn't hear a thing from the room which is great however if you have a front facing room I thing you might struggle to sleep due to the noise. The pool was excellent and better than I was expecting from the pictures provided, get a great view of Wat Arun after sunset and just a great place to relax after a long hard day of touring.
This is a very middle of the range hotel that doesn’t supply tremendous luxury or great comfort yet manages to deliver a service that is exemplary given its price. The rooms are perfectly satisfactory the minibar is very reasonably priced (quite surprising; given that is a hotel) and the showers and mattresses are of a very good standard. Upon my next visit to Thailand it is highly likely that I will stay here again!!!!!
Hello, I think u can’t complain about the noise it’s loud but what do u expect at a place like that. Negativ : - staff wasn’t really showing off with lovely Thai mood(I know they have to mess a lot with drunk and crazy people, but still want to have best treatment) - the air conditioner made noise like it’s raining very heavy I either heard loud music or air conditioner - they should put at least daily new towels, especially if u stay more then a day POSITIV : it’s clean nothing to fear or nasty things Location is great I walked to everywhere grab temple/ wat Phrak etc. Markets to have a snack just around the corner and they helpful and lovely The rooftop pool was pretty cool the bar guys where really great, thanks for that!!!! So all in all I can recommend this place for party guys only. Maybe I expect too much or I’m just to old for that kind of crazyness( I saw in Amsterdam really crazy things but nothing like the Khao San Road!!! Anyway thank u for everything
