Pros: + Walking distance to all the tourist attraction + In the middle of KhaoSan road + ok breakfast + easy access to transportation (to an annoyance level) the tuk tuk drivers are like vultures ready to attack their prey. Cons: - really really really loud! - The check in staff is kind of rude... they almost never smile and when you ask them for help, they look annoyed. very little english or maybe they just pretend to not understand you. - dirty bathrooms, no soap, smelly rooms. - dirty sheets... and towels... - too many pushy people right outside the hotel... selling suits, tuk tuk rides, jewelry, and whatever else. its novel for the first hour, then it just becomes an annoyance!
I knew that khao san road was party spot. But never thought it would be like this. The room looks nice and very clean, but the point of renting a room is to sleep at some point . It felt like my bed was in the middle of club. Unless youre there to party , I would recommend it.
After a long flight I was looking forward to a restful comfortable sleep but I was disappointed when the mattress was hard, I think the floor would have been more comfortable. The room was nice but there were blood spots in the sheets. The location of the hotel on Khaosan Road is great but be mindful that you might get a room that is very noisy because of the pubs in the area. The night staff at the front desk were a little but rude, they tried to not give me my change when I was paying for food ordered at the rooftop bar. Ordered drinks and food at the rooftop bar and the lady said we could pay by card during checkout, well the front desk didn't like it and I tried to pay by card but their machine wasn't "working". Had to go get cash at a cash machine that charges a hefty fee for foreign cards, this fee excludes the atm withdrawal fee. All in all I was disappointed with the bed and the night staff. Not sure I'll go back though. Be weary of people trying to sell you boat rides right outside the hotel, they'll tell you it's too far to get to Wat Arun or The Grand Palace by tuk tuk and quicker by boat. You'll be taken to the boat place and the person there will tell you that because you came with a local you get a good discount, don't do it! Walk away and get a hop on hop off boat instead. It is way cheaper! I unfortunately fell for this con and got duped.
The staff is very rude and unfriendly never simle the room is stinky and durty I book my room before one and a half month but steel they can not give me a window room no recommended to anyone please avoided
We checked in here at the end of our trip after travelling on a bus for 12 hours and were disgusted with what we got for the extortionate price we paid. We stayed in a double room which stunk of sewage due to bad drainage. Do not stay here if you wish to sleep at night, the stench from the bathroom and the horrendously loud noise from Khao San Road meant we had may as well been sleeping in a nightclub toilet. No effort had been made to soundproof the rooms, we had a single glazed window that didn't shut properly, and the "wall" behind the bed was a big canvas disguising a broken window into an empty room - our room could've easily been broken into. At 10pm we asked reception for some earplugs and were laughed at by a female member of staff. We were kept awake until 3am with the windows vibrating and couldn't even hear our TV. We are disappointed we paid as much as we did for this awful hotel and will never be back.
Stayed for one night, and check out couldn't come any sooner! We booked in on the violet tower without being informed that seriously loud music plays until 0300! Entering the room amd was shocked by the contents of the mini bar across the floor as pictured. The bathroom stunk of raw sewage! We went down to reception at 2300 to ask for some ear plugs but was laughed at by a female member of staff, this made us very upset and we concidered checking out there and then. Will never stay here again! Disgusting behaviour!
Spent two nights and had a great time. Middle of Khaosan Road. Backpacker Central although we are not and middle aged.air con good and room clean. Breakfast great value and plenty of it. Have to walk from nearby road with bags if at night due to closure of street to traffic. About a 150 m walk. Wheeled bags in crowded street little issue with bumps and cracks etc. but this is Thailand. Enjoy. I’ll be back.
I stayed the second time there and i must say from check in to check out the frontoffice staff make it a pleasent experience.Theakfast ise roof top pool and bar is a welcome Oasis on Khaosan road. The breakfast is basic but very good value
Excellent location directly at thriving khaosan road. Very good value for money. We liked the roof pool. What we didnt like was the view and really extremely loud noise till 2 a.m. do not count with sleep before that hour. We forgot watches on our departure and they honestly and swiftly sent them to us by EMS postal service for 500bht fee.
They are switching off the AC in the night. Pretty hard to sleep here when it is warm. They are trying to trick their own guests. The location is ok though. Nothing eine to write about this crappy place
