I stayed at the Jasmine hotel for 3 nights in February 2018. I paid about 2850 baht/night for a studio room with kitchen. To make it easy for the reader, I have listed bullet points for the hotel’s pros and cons. This hotel is perfect for those on a budget who want to be in a good location. Briefly, I did not eat at the hotel’s restaurant because there are so many great restaurants within walking distance. Bed simple but comfortable. Older plasma TV about 40”. Surprisingly, the water pressure was strong and the hot water stable throughout a normal shower (10 minutes). In summary, the hotel is a good value for the money and centrally located. Pros: Great location, about a 6-min walk from the Asoke BTS station and Terminal 21 Large studio room, with plenty of closet space, electrical outlets Robe and sleepers Complimentary snack (pe3anuts, drink, crackers) Sufficient bathroom articles, including shaver (2 face and 2 bath towels; no hand towels) Gym and swimming pool Kitchen with hotplate, toaster, micro, hot water maker, large refrigerator Friendly staff Housekeeper friendly and did a good job of keeping the room perfectly clean Cons: No kitchen table or chairs to sit down for a meal (could use the coffee table) No tablet or pen to write down appontments, etc. (bring your own pen, paper) My first time at the fitness center the lights were off and no air con Could hear the staff telephone roght outside my room (often ringing) Wifi was stable but too slow Check-out: despite being the only guest at the check-out counter, it took over 10 minutes to check the mini bar. Finally, I said that I didn’t take anything from the minibar and they let me go!
great location, right in the mix of everything, close to trains and sky rail. Room was big and had amazing view. Staff were fantastic, stayed there for 3 nights and every time i left the building/ or entered back they always greeted me by my first name by remembering me when i checked in(nice touch and they have a very good memory). Next time i'm in Bangkok i will be staying here again for sure.
I was a little apprehensive booking this hotel with its location so close to some “interesting areas” that I didn’t have any interest in, but I needn’t have been. You wouldn’t even know there were go go bars just down the street didn’t see them from the hotel or hear them I was very happy. Price was reasonable, newly renovated, room was big, bathroom was big, only issue I had was the shower, it was like a thousand needles on full pressure, then I couldn’t get the temperature to stay right it was either too hot or too cold. It even had cooking facilities in the room! Large fridge / freezer, TV with a massive selection of programs and movies to watch. Friendly helpful staff, they answered my e-mails within a day answered all my questions. Excellent pickup service from the airport (extra cost, but worth it). Room service was delicious and delivered very quickly. I only had time for 1 buffet breakfast but I was impressed plenty of food, fresh and hot with a chef to make omelettes etc. I recommend this hotel.
good value for money. convenient location close to entertainment, restaurants and bars and right next to trains. helpful staff, clean well run hotel, I had an upgrade and lovely room with kitchen facility. the only negative for me was that the 'hot' water was not so hot at all times, ok for a shower but way too cool for the hot bath I was looking forward to after a long walk. would certainly stay here again
Great place and location easy access to trains, nightlife and food. Good pool and spa. Decent breakfast. Large rooms in the executive suites. Recommend for friends and boys timeout and trips. Friendly staff. Not far from airport
Stayed here for 1 night. Checked in late evening. Staff are polite and helpful. I was upgraded. So my room is spacious. , Aircond is strong, WIFI connection sufficient. The only drawback to me is overall condition is old. Refurbishment would be good. Not suitable for family. Suitable for business travellers. Convenient location to Asok station, terminal 21 shopping mall. Easily access to variety of food street outside the hotel. Opposite, there is office building where you can find pharmacy, Aeon Mart, and restaurants.
I'm a regular visitor to Bangkok and find it hard to go past the Jasmine City Hotel for my accommodation. The hotel is very well located close to the Asok BTS Station and Sukhumvit Road. Emporium Shopping Centre is a short walk up Sukhumvit Road. The staff service in the hotel is always friendly and accommodating. It is a low key hotel with no pretence. While the hotel is not brand new, the rooms are large and very comfortable. There are restaurants and shops all around the hotel. It does have a pool and gym. I'd recommend the Jasmine City Hotel if location, budget and convenience is a consideration.
Overall a good stay with most staff being excellent. I do not like liars and had I staff tell me blatantly that he did not work there to try and entrap me. I am a business man that wears thongs and average clothes on holidays to not draw so much attention. I was judged (very badly) by a staff member in the upstairs lobby when I asked if he worked there as I needed help. He said no. THen I went downstairs to main reception to get my query rectified, and guess who turned.... King Tell A Lie. He was certainly uncomfortable and I hope he learnt from this. I travel to Bangkok many times a year and I didnt appreciate it. Having a "Rant" here but it put a bad taste in my mouth, especially after spending over $200 AUD per night here. Undecided if I will be back to this place.....
Most things are pretty good here. Fantastic location and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and well kept. The water pressure is good, even on floor 16. The air con is effective but noisy. The prices are ok, just don't use Agoda. Book directly on the hotel's website. The rooms are serviced but the tea/coffee doesn't seem to get replaced after the first day. However, I couldn't get any sound from the TV when I connected an HDMI cable from my laptop which has never been a problem in other places. So many good things but the reason I wouldn't stay here again was the wifi which varied from ok (just) to unusable. The measured speed was 1 to 2.5Mbps which I've had in other places where it worked much better.
Fantastic hotel. Location is brilliant, close to MRT, shopping Centre and Soi Cowboy. The room (executive suite) was immaculately clean, lots of space and next to gym and swimming pool. Customer service was amazing as I had a problem in the room with the jacuzzi and the toilet and they sent an engineer up straight away and fixed there and then. Can't say enough about it and recommend highly enough
