We had one of the room which was spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely polite and attentive excellent restaurants. Staff was so nice and friendly. My youngest daughter loved it so much she was crying that she didn't want to leave.

We stayed here so often that we lost track! Still my family's favorite choice to stay in Bangkok and service as usual, is excellent. It was my birthday and they arranged a cake. Love the surprise! They also sent up a bottle of wine but we left it untouched. My girls love the singer at the lounge and we'd go there every evening to listen to her and relax after a day of activities. Surprise that she could actually remember my girls from our previous trip in June. Can't wait to go back again!

My third time to stay here. All have been good. This was my longest stay at 5 nights. We also had access to the club lounge. Service from almost everyone was excellent. There were I think 2 Caucasian female staff at the lounge on the weekend, maybe trainees, their service wasn’t up to par with the rest of the staff (which is why I am assuming they are trainees). Wonderful views from our room, the club lounge, and the pool. From check in through check out everything was a breeze, including the very comfortable airport transfers. We’d like to give special mention to Apinya - one of the concierge at the InterCon - who was very helpful with directions, advice and always inquired about our day when he saw us, it felt genuine. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was always quite good, wide selection of Asian & western. Very conveniently located, across the Erawan shrine, Amarin Plaza (shops for reasonably priced souvenirs - our favorite being a charming Nepali one - several foot massage places and a small but very interesting museum on the life of the Buddha) & Grand Hyatt. Plus the bts walkway is almost right at the entrance with the first station nearby.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted in the greatest way,the staffs made us feel like royalty! Our cases were taken away and we were escorted to the check in seats with drinks arriving for us and were made to feel very welcomed! We had an early flight which meant we arrived very early in the morning, the lovely staffs accommodated this and had us in a room, early check in to what seems like the best room with a dream view! The room was super spacious, had everything you could imagine in it , water, fruit, drinks, beauty essentials and a view to die for!! It was immaculate and clean!! We went out for lunch and didn’t get back to the hotel until late and had noticed that the staffs had been in to close our curtains, put our our slippers, turn the bed and replenished our drinks and fruit this was especially a great touch!! We went up to the rooftop for a swim in the evening , it was like paradise, calming , beautiful and the cocktails were INCREDIBLE! They also have many restaurants downstairs too, the Italian was amazing!! The location of the hotel is in the heart of the shopping district in Bangkok, it was close to everything with easy access to BTS links, ChitLom is right outside the hotel! We will only ever stay here now when we return to Bangkok, I’d highly recommend this hotel to anybody who likes class, comfort and a great time!

WHAT a location quality feel service value for money superb comfort - a very superlative place with a very excellent rooms. Location as best as one can hope for - try the AMARIN PLAZA opposite for several nice foot massage shops and a nice food street on the 5th floor...excellent.

I had one problem with my room. However management quickly acknowledged the issue, apologised (so rare these days) and moved me to another room without the problem (they would have upgraded me but were fully booked). In addition I was given complementary breakfast and happy hour drinks. Management took a lot of time to talk to me about the issue and promise to address it. This is good customer servce. Anyway I will summarise the main points about the hotel below: (+) A really really good gym (one of the best hotel gyms I have used on the 36th floor (stunning view) with an excellent range of equipment and friendly/knowledgeable personal trainers who will step in to spot for you. The changing room is actually the best I've ever used in a hotel. There is also a very good hot tub. On the roof there is also a swimming pool, bar and some loungers. Initially I had thought it was not suitable for swimming but actually it is - because they keep the water very cool there are no people just sitting there quaffing drinks. You need to swim a slight angle (think of a clock's hour hands standing at 4.30) but it's really no problem and I think about 20 metres that way. It was actually very good to do my 2km (no one else in the pool). (+) Customer service - as I said they really looked after me. I also had a random issue with the battery on safe going after I opened it. No problem I put my stuff in the hotel safe and they replaced the battery. The guys standing outside the hotel will also do a fine job in getting you a taxi and making sure he knows (can get you to) your destination. For example I wanted to visit MOCA (see my other review I recommend it) but they found a taxi driver who would take me there after four attempts (imagine if I had tried this myself). They will also give you a card with the hotel address and map in thai for your return journey. One final thing - they need to add free wi-fi as the standard and not just IHG members. (+) Rooms are very good at least mine was. Great shower. Nice desk, etc. (+/-) Location overall I think is a positive (especially if you are here for business or like shopping - surrounded by huge shopping malls). You also have the Chit Lom sky train station basically 2 minutes walk away (there is also a walkway to malls all the way). I know some prefer to be closer to the old town centre and big tourist attractions but the intercontinental is better for Jim Thompson House, Weekend Market, MOCA, etc. One thing is that the restaurants in the IC area are busienss oriented so fairly expensive and serve more refined/westernised cuisine. (+/-) Hotel Dining - I tried the Italian (Theo something) and had the lasagne al forno which was pretty disappointing. The breakfast at Espresso is absolutely top draw. In the bar I had an excellent (although slightly small) wagu steak sandwich but it was followed by a really poor chocolate fudge cake (for about 400BHT which is ridiculous). It tasted factory made. I didn't eat at any of the other restaurants but I know some of them are highly rated.

Their 2 queen room is very spacious, the perfect room for couple with kids. Will definitely stay there with my kid for our next bangkok trip. The bellboys are very helpful, they always help to bring our shopping bags to our room every time we came back from shopping trips. They give you plenty of complementary bottled water in the room. And eventhough the design is a bit outdated, the room is spanking clean. Thank you intercon!

I stayed at InterContinental Bangkok for 2 night last month, totally loved the hotel. The whole experience was amazing. As an InterContinental Ambassador, fruits were prepared in my room, plus a gift from the hotel! Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive, they helped us a lot planning our sightseeing around the hotel. I loved the buffet breakfast, and the 24 hour steam & jacuzzi on the top floor! Must check it out!

Great for a treat whilst in Bangkok, one of my favourites (JW Marriot is the other) Breakfast is worth paying for, they usually will offer a special rate if your an IHG card holder. Location is ideal if you want to be near the main shopping area and MTB

I stayed here with my wife for a spur of the moment trip. We spent six nights in a Club Intercontinental room. As always the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We like staying at this hotel due to its location close to the BTS (skytrain) and shopping malls. There are also some reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Our favourite choice of hotel in Bangkok.
