I Residence Hotel Silom4.0 out of 5.0

Nice and clean room. Location is good because it’s surrounded with many kind of street food and restaurants and 7-11 shop which open 24 hours. Breakfast is good too. Good service from staff. It’s in a center of the city so you can easily walk or catch a train or taxi.
I stayed at this hotel for just three days. It was a decent hotel- not the best, but not the worst. I don't spend much time in the hotel when I am on vacation anyway so the "look" is not all that important. It was clean enough. The great thing is that it is very conveniently located to the skytrain. The staff are friendly and very helpful! I would stay again.
Stayed in i Residence Silom for 4 nights and it was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Upon reaching, they helped me with my luggage and offered me drinks too. Check in was smooth. The room was incredibly nice and comfortable. The air-con was working just fine. The hotel itself is convenient. Just right next to the bts Chong Nonsi. There is 7/11 too and mcdonalds! They have a few small food shops but they were non-halal. The breakfast was average. We only tried it on our 2nd morning there and eventually ate mcdonald for breakfast for the rest of the stay. The swimming pool is very nice especially at night. Surrounded by tall buildings and you can just relax in the pool. Check out was smooth as well. If I were to go back Bangkok, I will stay here again.
I wouldn't be saying this if it hadn't been advertised as 4 star hotel. The photos on their web and the official ones on tripadvisor are not reflecting the real state this hotel is in. You enter through a garage (we needed to wait the car left, because you literally enter through the exit way, receptionists are friendly, but this hotel is seriously outdated. Plastic curtains in the showers, damaged furniture and dirty spots on the floor & furniture. The window is small and dark - no views and the room is very claustrophobic. The pool area looks OK, however the furniture around and in the breakfast area is very old - visibly damaged and overall feeling is like a any 2 stars hotel in Europe. We really looked forward of spending some time at the pool during the hottest hours of the day (it is very hot and humid here). I suggest booking with the flexible option - meaning def not taking no-refundable rate, no matter how much you think you're saving. We wanted to finish off our holidays in a nice hotel and we def didn't expect what we've got. If you're looking for a place to only sleep, that's fine, but if you're thinking of spending some time at the hotel I recommend you to find something different - there are plenty in this area; we started the holidays at Amara hotel around the corner and it was great! We went for a quick meal to a place nearby (white house) and it was good, so plus for the location. Also train and metro is close. Beware of booking taxi with this hotel - they charge 900 bahts (not much) BUT the ride to the airport paying by taximeter shouldn't exceed 360 baht. Seems a bit of a scam really. BKK is an amazing city, but the same as everywhere else, better see things in first hand than to trust photos... very disappointing experience.
Stayed in the I-Residence for 2 nights as a short stopover before we went to the islands. Hotel is reasonably priced. We paid €85 for a deluxe room which to be very honest is quiet small but truthfully we never spend a whole lot of time in our room when away so it didn’t matter a whole lot to us just be aware when booking. The room had air conditioning which was ideal as it was 30+ degrees everyday. There was also a fridge with some items in it that you could pay for. The ONLY thing that I could criticise, no mirror in the room (except the bathroom). Hotel staff were beyond friendly. Boots 7 11 and a Mc Donald’s are in the doorstep of the hotel. Also a very nice Thai restaurant behind the hotel. Within walking distance to Patpong night markets and Lumpini Park. It was about 600 Baht in a taxi from the airport as it was a holiday and traffic was mental. All in all, a good stay.
I have been here for a third time already and I stay here for 3 night. I come here at very late night and I got in room 914. The room is okey not bad not good can be excepted but the main point is a good service of reception. she explain me every detail of the hotel even the place where to hang around. That's great!!! I really loving it. The room is quite big and very comfortable. keep going up I Residence Silom, I definitely come back for sure. ps. if there are not renovate of the very very noise drill. It's will be better than this.
First of all, this is absolutely not anywhere close to a luxury hotel. You can't beat the location: just steps from the Chong Nonsi BTS station. The room is fine - I had one facing into the courtyard, so it was quiet and dark enough to get a solid night's sleep. The air conditioning worked. The room was relatively clean. There are a few downsides though, as is expected with this sort of hotel. This is that the bathroom is aging and a little grim with no shower curtain. There is only one slow and excruciating elevator. The lobby is in the back of a parking lot. There were a few gross things: 1. The breakfast is pretty bad in general, which would be forgivable, but I bit into a huge chunk of soil while I was eating some sauteed vegetables. The kitchen staff obviously hadn't rinsed them before cooking it, which is revolting and made me wonder what other things they aren't washing. 2. There was mold floating around in my "antibacterial" liquid handsoap in the bathroom. 3. They make you wait for up to 15 minutes at check-out while housekeeping goes upstairs and counts everything to make sure that you didn't run off with any of their amenities. If it's such a concern, then just take a deposit. It's frustrating to have to stand around the lobby if you need to check out and get to work. Basically, the hotel is fine if you lower your expectations drastically. Next time I come to Bangkok for work, I'm staying elsewhere, even if this is the closest hotel.
We stayed four nights whilst touring Bangkok and area. It's situated next to the skytrain station. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Lot's of 7eleven shops for your supplies. Within walking distance of Silom night market, the "entertainment" area and lots more. The hotel itself is a fairly standard city hotel with all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast choice good with lots of hot food as well as the usual cereal, toast and stuff.
Stayed at the I-Residence for 2 nights, can’t beat the location just steps away from BTS Skytrain station Chong Nonsi, I got there from BKK Airport by airport train, then changed to BTS, very easy, cheap and quick. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, there is a lot of renovations going on at the hotel and the lifts were always busy with tradesmen going in an out. The only thing that let this hotel down was the breakfast, I arrived at around 08:30, with still another 2 hours left for breakfast and all the egg dishes were gone and not replaced, same situation with the fruit, all I had was a coffee and a piece of toast and left, at no time did anyone top up these items.
Stayed here my first few nights in Thailand, and it did the job as far as giving me a clean, cool, and quiet place to sleep for a few days. The room was fairly run down (marks on the wood furniture, stains on the couch, etc) and while it was tidy, it wasn't what I would call spotless (thick layer of dust under the bed). Nevertheless, it did the job and I was able to sleep a couple of nights there and get over my jetlag. I couldn't stay a third night because the hotel was totally booked with a tour group... I think they get a lot of that kind of thing there. Since I couldn't stay there I looked around the neighborhood and actually found some nicer places very close by for less money. You won't get a true luxury hotel in the area without paying a luxury price (the W is a couple blocks away) but this place is pretty standard for the mid-range price. I will say that the desk staff is excellent (their English could be better, but since I'm the foreigner there I don't expect them to speak English like a native) and the concierge was excellent. All in all, although it wouldn't be my first choice to stay again at the price I paid, I'm satisfied with my stay and I have no complaints.
