Excellent location as it is right at the heart of famous shopping areas in BKK. Pratunum market is right outside and Platinum Mall is walkable distance (5-10 minutes). Lots of shophouses along the street. Room was not too spacious for 3. Lobby has a weighing scale to weigh your luggage. Building is slightly rundown but for the convenience of the location is worth it.
Located within the heart of Bangkok. The street where it's at is located across Platinum Mall. The room is clean and really nice. It takes 1min or less to walk from Hotel to the Main highway. There's a 7-eleven & McDonalds a few feet away. Pros: -Located in a shopping district -So many food places around Cons: -The first floor is a shopping center. (Lobby is on the second) People shop all day everyday! It can get hard to pass through going out the hotel in the morning. Place is PACKED! Funny how at night it's soooo quiet! It's like an abandoned area. But the street is quite safe. -Street quite small. If you book Uber or GrabCar they get lost sometimes.
The hotel located at a prime location with a reasonable price. Technically speaking it is just located right opposite Platinum Fashion Mall however it took us awhile to discover it as the hotel is a bit shy (lobby located at 2nd floor). Morning & Night has two totally different street views, you will know when you check it out. Some uplifting works shall be done to maintain the quality. Eg: the sliding door at bathroom really trained my muscle during my stay. Generally speaking I will still recommend this place to friends.
We're a family of 10. It's nice that their direct website offers a cheap rate than booking through a 3rd party website. It's just a little worrysome that their web wont offer an option to pull up your reservation via the confirmation number provided. And when you try to reach out to them via email, it would take days for them to reply. And the staff appeared to misunderstood what I needed to convey via that email. Found a couple of Filipino staff, which was truly helpful especially during check in. Check out, we were only given 8 packed breakfast, instead of 10, which was probably an honest mistake on their part. Location is superb. you can go out the hotel for a quick browsing of clothes. Or walk 5 minutes to Platinum Mall. Love LOVE the selection of breakfast. Each breakfast became our family bonding moment. All of the staff were nice, especially the young guy I always come across the lift and the women in the cafeteria. They were all courteous and kind. Our whole family enjoyed the stay. My dad didnt like the Thai massage. T'was too rough for him. Will definitely consider this hotel on our next visit.
This is the 6th time booking at the hotel. Prime location and good rates. Room was cleaned well by the housekeeping, big rooms and great service. Needs maintenance in the room though. In the middle of Pratunam Market, lots of food nearby and Platinum Mall directly opposite.
Connecting room available. Strategic place to go to the pratunam night market, etc.. You can shop wholesale fashion outside the hotel in the morning.. Clean and tidy room.. Will come again next time..
The hotel is very strategically located near Platinum Mall in the Pratunam area. The lobby is located at the second floor since there are shops at the ground floor already. The breakfast area is at the second floor as well. Food variety is acceptable. The rooms are well lit and spacious even for 3 people for the deluxe room. This hotel is perfect for those who are visiting Bangkok just to go shopping as it is walking distance to the Platinum Mall, Central World Mall and Shibuya Mall. The staffs are always ready to assist you even for the hotel transfer going to the hotel. The shops at the ground floor are open as early as 6AM until 3PM only.
It is cheaper by half compared to other hotels. Although location is slightly deep in the alley, the interior is way cleaner than the exterior. The entrance was kinda puzzling. Location is near Malls and food stores!
My first time staying at this hotel. At the start, it was a little hard for the taxi to locate this hotel. However, once you stay there once, it is really easy to find it again because of the large Soi 19 Wanton Noodle banner. Furthermore, because of their great location (close to Pratunam market), I was able to do tons of shopping!
This hotel isn't fantastic at all, but I can't fault it for the price and location. It used to be better when it first opened, but hasn't been sufficiently maintained. Location: Pros: Great for shopping being a short walk to Platinum Mall, and a longer but manageable walk to Central World.Plenty of food in the vicinity, though avoid the seafood place at the bottom of GLOW Shibuya. Cons: The alley it's in is fairly hard for even seasoned cabbies to find. Pedestrian traffic and hawker carts make the road congested and hardly driver friendly. The hotel's lobby is on the second floor of a building and the ground floor is a wholesale clothing market of sorts. Be prepared for crowds before 4pm as you make your way to the elevator and if you've got luggage with you, good luck. For the paranoid here, yes, the clothing market is also a fire hazard. Security-wise, I saw an access card panel at the elevator lobby on the ground floor that was likely supposed to restrict access to all but hotel guests. However, this wasn't in use and literally anyone could take the elevators straight up to the guest rooms without first going through the lobby. Convenient for hotel guests, certainly, but also not the most secure. Hotel: Fairly new hotel although maintenance hasn't been top notch. My first room on the 4th floor had a desk that had been scribbled on with a pen and the bathroom not only lacked hot water but smelt of drains. The lampshade was yellow with age and the bedspread had a stain. I requested a room change and got a much better room directly above. Beds were on the hard side and pillows too soft so some in our party woke up with a neck ache. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided but bedroom slippers can be gotten from the reception desk. If you happen to get a room facing the shops downstairs, be prepared for some noise starting from 8 or 9 in the morning. I heard this lady shouting the same thing over and over again every morning. Double glazed windows would really make a difference. Wifi stopped working on our third night. Saw two cockroaches shortly after I got off the elevator at night on the fourth floor. One was right on the corridor while the other was trying to make its way into a guest room (thankfully, the gap under the door wasn't large enough). Verdict Hotel Vista Express isn't too bad considering the price and location but it's certainly not for the fussy. Just don't expect too much and you'll be fine. But I'd recommend paying slightly more to stay in a better place if you can afford it.
