We looked for the hotel for quite some time as its entrance is situated in a alley. Check-in was fast and fuss free. Hotel room is small but acceptable, it is clean and shower was great. Bed was hard but still able to get some good rest. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Below the hotel is a morning market, with a good number of food stalls around it. There is a tasty seafood restaurant (red signboard) on the corner, its price is decent and served fresh seafood. Ladies will surely love this hotel as it is very convenient and everything you need or want is just a stone throw away
It will be better if the hotel can offer different booking for either a twin bed or double bed. Booked the hotel and leave a note of hoping to have the double bed, but was told that we were not allowed to choose. The carpet was mostly black especially those area cover by sofa, light or bed. Non-smoking room, but the room have a stink smell. While hanging things in the wardrobe, I found a cockroach running inside. Killed it and left the body there. Three nights stay but when the time I check-out, the dead cockroach was still there. The floor of the shower area had some litter since i check-in, but on the day of check-out, it was still there too. Really wonder the job scope of the housekeeper and also how clean were the beds. The furniture in the room was mainly made of wood and was very old. Nothing seems to have changed since my first visited there which is like more than 10 years ago. The signal for the TV channels was bad and they will always blame the issue on the cable but nothing chance throughout the years. The only advantage of the hotel is that it is located very near to the shopping area. Really need to reconsider whether is it worth stay for the next trip.
This is a budget hotel which primarily caters to travellers who love to shop, the 7-11 is about 3 mins walk away, and downstairs is the Pratunam market and opposite is the Platinum mall. The room is basic and comes with basic amenities, but the sound proof of the room is terrible and horrible. i can hear other people's tv blasting, room doors being slammed, and repairing and drilling of the road right opposite the shops, so near to our room, it was after midnight and drilling continued until 2am, despite us shouting for them to stop, but they didnt.
Those deluxe rooms facing the shopping streets are abit smaller but acceptable compared to those deluxes facing the other side (no views) which are bigger (those pictures u see on Agoda). Not for fussies with weird expectations to come to BKK for relaxation. Heaven location for shopaholics & explorers. Walking distance to major shopping centres & night markets. Surrounded by shops selling ready to wear clothes (pratunam market 7am to 5pm). Level 1 are all shops connected to few shopping centres and all the way to Baiyoke Hotel. Few Halal restaurants near Baiyoke area (behind Vista). 7-11 store just few steps away. The room were clean & location is perfect - thats all matter to me when chosing a hotel to stay when in BKK. All are NO smoking room in this hotel. Deposit of 500baht is required per room. Room were made & towels were changed every day. Meter taxi (normal 5 seaters car) to hotel @ 7pm local time: 630b includes 50b (compulsory for taxi driver from airport + 20b (toll) *Suggest u to settle for Grab or Uber if cheaper than this. Transfer frm hotel to airport @12pm (booked from hotel): 450b (normal car) 1300b (van) Your meter will keep on running if you're on meter taxi (it runs really fast! 3baht in 2 secs!) To reach the hotel is quite complicated. So please note that once u enter Soi 19 (Lane 19), ask them to go slow. Concentrate on your left side till u see 7-11 store (about 30meters) and ask the driver to turn right IMMEDIATELY and u'll reach the hotel entrance in 3 secs :) the small lane EXACTLY opp the 7-11 is where u gonna enter to reach the hotel.
Second time staying at this hotel. Staffs were polite and housekeeping was done everyday. However room service could’ve been improved - Called for extra pillows in the morning but none was given when i went back to the hotel at night. Ended up having to ask the counter staff the next morning. It’s a good thing I was staying on the highest level (8th floor) as there were some light construction going on in the shopping area downstairs during midnight hours.
First it took us some time to locate the entrance of the hotel and the way to the hotels were congested with vendors selling clothes. Lobby is located at second floor, receptionist can speak English quite well. Room and toilets are clean, however the ceiling is a bit low. Location of the hotel is excellent for shoppers and walking distance to Platinum Fashion Mall and night markets ( Neon night market). We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
Pros : + Near platinum shopping mall + Near the famous sab X2 Wonton noodle + you can easily find street food, cheap clothes + The room was great, cleaned everyday + breakfast was ok, many varieties Cons : - access to the hotel is very crowded at noon, if you get there by car that would less convenient - there was a mistake when i spend my 4 nights in that place, you probably need to take before and after you left the room photos of the paid snack and drink. they cost us some paid beverage and peanuts, we clearly remember we didn't took them except the free mineral water
This hotel is located in a narrow alley near pratunam market. Entrance is disappointing as you have to cross some busy clothing stores in the ground floor. The height of the floor of this hotel is very low and if you are tall near 6 feet then this hotel is not for you. Sometimes it feels suffocating due to low height. Not recommending others or visiting again.
Our recent stay in Nov 2017 was pleasant. Was worry about the condition of the room but it was good, room was spacious for 2 twins beds, air con was okay, just a bit noisy so i slept with ear plugs every night. My room was just next to the staircase / lift but it was not noisy at all. Most of the guests are from Singapore anyway. But the TV programs were boring, so bring along your own entertainment. If you are taking the ARL from the airport, alight at the 7th station (can't recall the name, but is after Makkasan station) and walk about 10-15 mins. Hotel is located in Soi 19, walking distance to the overhead bridge to Platinum Fashion Mall. Morning/afternoon was crowded, full of people shopping and eating. It is near to the HK wanton mee which is 300m away (not the Soi 19 Wanton mee) and taste not bad. There is also a shop selling pig trotter. You can give both stalls a try. There are also some massage shops around where u can go and relieve your tired body :) Definitely will stay there again for my next trip.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Oct 31 to Nov 4 and I must say that our stay was a very pleasant one. I knew beforehand that this place wasn't a five star hotel. Three star if I'm not mistaken. But everything in this hotel exceeded my expectations. First of all, the hotel seemed to be newly renovated. A clean and spacious room included a queen sized bed, a sofa and one chair without a back rest. Enough space to put two luggages in a room without making it too crowded. The ACU was cold enough although it shut down by itself automatically at times. The bathroom was a bit small but still comfortable to use. The water heater worked perfectly. Just make sure to bring your own slippers and tooth brush because these will not be provided by the hotel. As for the hotel staff, everyone was helpful, friendly and courteous most especially the Thai bell boy and several Filipina receptionists. All of them patiently answered all of our inquiries. In fact they went out of their way to assist us in our daily itinerary. The hotel even offered a very efficient airport transfer for arrival and departure. Could not have asked for a better breakfast buffet. They offered rice, meat, vegetables, salad, fruits, cereals, fruit juices, tea and an omelette station. They even changed the menu everyday for several days. Simply perfect to load up for a whole day's worth of walking. Nothing beats the location of this hotel as the hotel is literally on top of an air-conditioned shopping center. Purchased items from the stores could easily be transported back to the hotel room. The only drawback is that the street leading to the hotel is narrow two way street with cars almost grazing each other with people walking on both sides of the street. Also you'd have to squeeze your way into the entrance of the hotel. Just outside of the hotel were numerous shops selling cheap goods lined up along a bit of a narrow street. Once you get to the main road, famous shopping centers such as Platinum Mall and several others whose names I forgot were just a stone's throw away. Several restaurants, convenience store and a drug store were all within a few minutes away from the hotel. So was the taxi station. With its great value for money, this hotel is highly recommended for people who want to shop at bangkok's Pratunam area.
