Hotel Solo Sukhumvit 24.0 out of 5.0

Great pool with a lovely view and a nice rooftop bar which stayed open until reasonably late. It was quite empty to we had it all to ourselves most of the time. Just off the main streets so not far to walk, they offered free Tuk Tuk services to the Main Street so that was helpful. The choice of food for breakfast was very limited. Free wifi throughout the building. Friendly staff, although they didn't really speak English so their was a huge barrier in communication. They did not offer a lot of tours and excursions like any other hotels so look around for other places to book as you can also find cheaper prices. Rooms were air conditioned until you step out of your room to wait for an elevator where it was boiling hot! But good for the amount you pay.
I've been to this hotel several times. We absolutely love our room every time. Everything from its amenities to the cleanliness and decor. Although a little way off the main road, there is a complimentary shuttle service to the Sukhumvit road so you don't have to walk. Its a 5 or 6 minute walk otherwise. The roof terrace and pool are one of the best I've been to and enjoyed. Its not up in the clouds either as there are only about 7 or 8 floors to the hotel so you are at a nice level. There is a bar which opens at peak times so you can relax with a drink poolside. We were on the 3rd floor. In your room you will find everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities (my favourite). The quality of the toiletries is always great..you can even watch the tv from the shower if you wish! or make it private of course. Breakfast is the usual choices. The reception staff are great. We had to have a letter translated into Thai language and they obliged for free. The Thai are respectful people who hate confrontation and will never be rude to you for no reason, so if you are nice and smiley to them, they will be to you. Tourism is their largest industry. Back to the hotel - there is also a safe and free wife in your room. Reception will help you with ANYTHING you need. Taxis sit outside the hotel to take you anywhere. Always barter with Tuk Tuk drivers but taxis with meters you don't need to haggle with. We found this hotel a little gem and return year after year.
Solo hotel is a little far in soi 2 but it's worthwhile to stay. Hotel is very modern very clean pleasant staff. There is a small clean pool on rooftop . Very pleasant for family to stay. Breakfast is good with outside sitting very enjoyable and staff Reya providing good services. Rate us very competitive helping your stay value for money.
Hotel Solo is a hotel that performs tasks adequately. The staff seem to lack sufficient confidence to engage with their customers, preferring to ignore guests and chatter amongst themselves. Hotel staff desperately need some training on how to interact with their guests and they need to understand that without guests, they would be out of a job. The hotel is modern yet bland. Like its staff, Solo lacks personality. The room I stayed in (706) was tidy although some remedial plaster and paint repair was overdue. One gets the impression this modern hotel has received no maintenance since being built, and that lack of attention to detail is starting to show. Breakfast further embraced the hotels apparent policy of meeting a bare minimum standard. One two-slice toaster was all that was supplied for all guests, and that toaster was painfully slow. Variety of food offered at breakfast was also underwhelming. This 8 storey hotel is serviced by only one elevator and since I was on the 7th floor I didn't feel an inclination to use the stairs. Elevator waiting was a given. The hotel is located at the end of a rather long Soi (street or lane), and although the hotel provide a shuttle to the MRT, they didn't offer at any stage to provide a return service. I wanted a later check-out as my flight was leaving early evening. The hotel would only offer an extended check-out to 1pm. I usually stay at the Aetas hotel when in Bangkok. They are much more accommodating and I will be back at the Aetas next time I visit this awesome city.
Breakfast poor and coffee really not good, weak, like water, unless tou want to pay extra for the real thing! Room - shower head broken, able to shower though, but water spraying elsewhere. dvd in room not working. Oilet, wahs basin and shower lay out in room strange. Limited TV channels.
The hotel desk was very accomodating when it came to changing a date I had booked incorrectly without a fee..they also found my running shoes near the bin which they kindly returned back. The hotel itself was just average and a bit if a walk from the station. But price wise..I guess it was okay.
This hotel is a perfectly lovely boutique hotel that's clean, with good sized rooms, at an affordable price in Bangkok. Breakfast was adequate, there's a nice rooftop pool, and the staff was accommodating- especially to store our bags for a week until we returned to Bangkok to fly back to the US. The location is ok. We heard Sukhumvit was a popular area for tourists, and while there are definitely a lot of hotels around, there isn't much else. Close enough to the sky train but the usefulness of that has its limits since it doesn't reach the old city- and the hotel is far from the old city. It's no frills, the staff didn't go out of their way majorly with the hospitality, but overall a nice place to stay.
I lived in this hotel for many times since 2012. Every time I came to Bangkok always chose this hotel, cause it really like my home! Everyone knows me here, whatever I need, they try their best to do for me. Nong Eff is the best staff, always! 从2012年第一次入住这个酒店，已经无数次啦！超喜欢，因为完全是家的感觉！酒店工作人员从上到下几乎全都认得我，无论有何需要，总是尽力满足。Eff，最热心最可爱！
The room was very clean and comfortable. We even had a rain shower head! The roof top pool was relaxing and cozy, very nice after a long hot day. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. However the best part of our stay was meeting Nattaporn Bantachan. He was so helpful and genuinely caring, an overall really nice guy. Best deal, well worth the price. We'll definitely come back.
Such a lovely hotel! But by far the best part of this hotel is the service by Nattaporn Bantadchan, he is very helpful, perfect English, lovely. Would definitely recommend staying in this hotel because of how wonderful the staff is! Thankyou! We shall be returning!
