It's my shopping trip with my friends, love how spacious the room is. With all my shopping bags laying on the floor, still able to move around the room freely. The buffet breakfast was satisfying and the hotel wifi is strong. The location of the hotel is few meters away from the main road so good quality sleep is expected. Overall is good!
I have great experience in Hotel de Bangkok. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is comfortable. The restaurant offers delicious food with reasonable price. The hotel is not far form BTS station and 7eleven, so it's quite convenient. High rate for the price. I absolutely come back for the next trip.
I used this hotel through a company I was travelling with, we had a private house with rooms that were a decent size the beds were nice and clean. The wifi was very good, even with lots of us on it. For us our breakfast we were in a separate room and we could only have fried rice with chicken and sausage with salad on the side. Being English I struggle to stomach rice in the morning, yet that was all we could have. Two people in my group were vegetarian and one was vegan, the waitress informed them that they had to eat it, as there was nothing else. I found this was just a scheme to encourage us to pay for the other breakfast where there was a variety, as you can imagine we were not happy. The guests in the main hotel rooms had that breakfast included but for us. This is definitely something they need to sort out, there at least needs to be a few more options to cater to people's dietary needs. I found that staff to be quite rude and not so welcoming, especially when asking questions they didn't seem to want to talk to us.
Like my second home! Every time look for other hotel when plan to visit Bangkok but at the end choose back Hotel De Bangkok. However this hotel not very new but their well maintain from the pass five years.
I just came back from bangkok 2 days ago, so my experience is still fresh. I will be as honest as possible, but do note this is my personal experience and may not apply to all rooms. I travelled with my girlfriend and my parents, with me and my girlfriend in a room and my parents in another. Location: theres a airport rail link station nearby, about 5 minutes walk. Traffic is terrible but hey its bangkok. You can easily take from the Suvarnabhumi airport to Ratchaprarop station and walk to hotel. From the station you can take one stop to Phaya Thai and take BTS. Hotel is near Pratunam and all the malls, just have to walk and cross the crazy and dangerous roads. 7 Eleven is super near. I think its hard for taxis to find the hotel, so ask to stop at the station and walk. Room: Windows were facing another room's windows, and its within the hotel. So the only use for it is to let sunlight in, and you have to draw them for privacy. I think only the balcony room lets you see outside, but then again the hotel is facing some construction site, so not much scenery. TV screen was in terrible quality; a lot of thai shows barely any english shows, and even the few english shows they were Thai dubbed. Bed was one of the hardest I have slept on. They gave single beds joined together even though we booked a queen bed. (my parents room got 2 single beds). Room was decently sized. Very little amenities, no bath robe, slippers but i guess its fine for a 3 star hotel. Air con was okay but my parents complained their room wasn't cold. One of the drawers wasnt cleaned out and had a used cotton wool and other stuff. Toilet seemed old, tap seemed like it was going to come loose. Water supply was TERRIBLE. The shower went from hot to cold erratically regardless of which direction we turned the tap, but most of the time the water was super boiling hot and we had no way to control it. Same for the tap; mostly hot water there. When we entered no soap or shampoo was in the container and we had to ask the cleaner to top it up. Soundproof was pretty bad. Could hear my parents speaking next door and people talking at the corridor in the morning. But i guess its a 3 star hotel so cant expect much. Floors were tiled as in the pictures, not carpeted so it loses some of that grand and comfy feeling (not the hotel's fault, just my opinion). Breakfast and others: Staff was pretty helpful with directions, though we did not interact with them much to comment. For breakfast they didn't even check our coupons until the last day (we stayed for 3 nights). Breakfast was really disappointing. Everyday there were the same food - salad, bread (with toaster), fruits, porridge, soup, fried rice, sausages, ham, and only about 3 dishes varied (some days noodles, another day tom yum chicken). Very little variation. Worse, it wasn't very tasty. It wasn't bad, but to me, either you have a huge spread of varied food or a small set of delicious food, but this hotel had neither a large variety or a small set of tasty food that makes you want to come back. But again, its a 3 star hotel, so if you are not fussy about breakfast, go ahead. The hotel is near the malls so i dont see how difficult it is to get breakfast outside, unless you are lazy and just want to eat at the comfort of the hotel. Again, its not terrible, just meh.
big room, clean, cozy, comfy, but far from platinum mall. walking distance 15 minutes. big balcony if u choose deluxe room. big parking 🚗, there ia storage , near from train if u wanna go to airport ,
Hotel was easy to find, accessible from the connecting trains & about a 5/10 mins walk away from pratunam morning market. There were 7-11 & food stalls further down the street. There was also money exchange with good rates just below the hotel. Room was spacious for the 3 of us too!
Clean bathroom, there wasn't any problem with any of the bathroom devices. Good and as useful as new. The front desk receptionist is very helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay here again for the next time traveling to bkk.
We stayed here for 4 days for our recent Bangkok trip. Everyday morning the breakfast variety almost the same and not many choice. This is not 4 star standard, the hair dryer is not functioning and the glasses in the room already broken. The location is also far to pratunam and it's very dark and dangerous if you were to walking out from hotel for foods.
Excellent hotel, nice rooms, Excellent and courteous staff, tasty breakfast. Nice eatery. What else do you demand from a budget option. Small and beautiful hotel. one of most courteous staff seen. nice facilities in room, nice Wifi. everything you can ask from a decent budget hotel
