Taxi driver couldn't find the hotel, but it is actually conveniently located across from MBK mall and the National Stadium and a short walk from National Stadium BTS station. The staff were great and met all of our needs and requests. The breakfast was wild as we were in Bangkok for New Years break and the city was filled with people from all over the world. I wish they had sneeze shields and had staff to keep people from getting food and putting it back. The room was clean and spacious and the A/C worked, which was great because it was quite warm. I would stay there again.

The Staff are Excellent and Services needs to be improved Training for the new staff is very important. Our check-in to the hotel was very fast Bangkok time is 10:05 pm and front office staff confirmed our luggage will be send to our Room as soon as possible. We went our Room the Room is Excellent all the comforts you need is provided. Waiting for the Luggage after 36 minutes Went to the Front desk the lady on duty told me very sorry there isn't any staff available to send the Luggage Trolley. Travelling for six hours non stop and check in to your Room waiting for the Luggage 36 minutes is not very happy feelings. My recommendation is get more staff and organise the Services Department with a Team Leader will be working with the team Not just sitting and relax in department. This hotel Holiday inn have a very good future and customers will be returning back. In general the Breakfast buffet was Good and No Name tags available to see what is in the dishes and platters. Thank you very much . Husain..

We are returning guests who love the location and great service. Simple , no frills room and walking distance to bts, massage, 7-11 etc. Enjoyed the 5star IHG experience and staff was thoughtful arranging room with view, early check in and even coloured towels for my dyed hair Will definitely be back. Thumbs up for the great hospitality.

I picked this hotel due to the location. It is just a short walk to the MBK shopping mall with it's food courts and souvenirs and just about anything else you want plus the Paragon Mall which also has a world class aquarium that I wanted to take my grandson to visit. As a bonus it is also a short walk to the Jim Thompson House, a famous Bangkok tourist spot. So shopping for souvenirs and eating was a breeze. Breakfast was free and good. The view of the Bangkok skyline from my 23 floor room was stunning. You will need your key card to operate the elevator. That's great for security reasons. The cons are minor. I hate the bathroom door. It acts as both the shower stall door or the main bathroom door. You choose one or the other, not both. What a weird set up. Who stayed awake all night to design this fiasco. It either closes the door to the bathroom which keeps the shower stall open or you use it to close the shower stall which leaves the bathroom wide open to the public. It is frosted glass just like the shower stall which by the way also acts as part of the bedroom wall. You just push it open or close, there is no door knob, there is no door lock. What happens if you have a child with you? Or any third party. Also there are no little shampoo, body wash and skin lotion bottles like you find in.....well... just about every hotel I have ever stayed in. Instead they have a big soap dispenser hanging on the wall that you press to get a squirt of soap. Just like you would find in a public restroom say at any airport. The shower stall has the same soap dispenser. This just makes the hotel feel less personal and friendly and more cold, industrial and impersonal. More like a dormitory without those little things that say, hey, you are special to us. The rooms are adequate and basic. Again, the glass wall gives you a fantastic view of the city. This is not a hotel you stay in to experience Thai charm. It doesn't have a fancy big lobby with Thai architecture that invites you to relax and have a drink. There are plenty of other hotels for that and you will pay a steep price for the experience. And that's the whole point. This hotel is budget friendly, very adequate and has a great location. Being a regular visitor to Thailand over the years, this is all I need or want. I will be back. Oh.......It seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I made reservations for 3 nights. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I then had to change my reservation to Friday, Saturday and Sunday for that same week. I made the change online with plenty of advance notice. I received 2 emails from Holiday Inn confirming my new reservation. When I checked in they said hey, you are supposed to be checking out. They had no record of my new reservation at the front desk. It is a good thing I had my ipad with me and I was able to show the front desk my email confirmations that showed I had updated my reservation and was given a new confirmed booking. I shudder to think how badly this could have ended if the hotel was full. And guess what. I keep getting reminders from Holiday Inn to review my stay from Wednesday to Sunday night. They still don't know my correct check-in and check-out dates.

Check In and Check Out process is super fast. less than 10 minutes for me. There is a Mc Donald's Signature next to the lobby with a Singha beer stand. At night a lot of customers. the Mc Donald's open till 2am. Room is reasonable size. very clean and comfortable. Take note on their shampoo is in the dispenser. if you are picky with your shampoo the 7 eleven is just less than 5 min walk away. can get all your snacks, bathroom needs. Breakfast is nothing to shout about but if you are on a budget I think it's reasonable. Can be quite crowded with Chinese tourist so advisable to go earlier.

Good location next to the BTS, malls. Loved the view from the window 'wall' Comfortable beds and all provisions. Restroom is wierd.. It doesn't close completely when you want to use the washbasin and the commode... 😕 Shower area closes. No lock system on the restroom door cum glass... Haven't seen this kind of arrangement earlier. Not comfortable when you are sharing room even with family and kids. Good breakfast spread. I liked the food and the variety. Good to go option called grab and go for early checkouts if requested in advance to the front desk. Functional staff at the restaurant and in spite of language barrier she understood my request for an egg white omelette😛 As in most of Thailand the staff does struggle with English.... Beyond swadikhaaaaa it's really hard to converse with them. Internet is fast. The only trick is to be able to connect to it. Auto authentication in this hotel doesn't work for Android phones, you have to select network and then open your browser and provide the details it asks for. The hotel does get you taxis but DO IN INSIST that you will pay by meter. Taxis fleece tourists and are rude. Took 2 taxis from the hotel, first one charged 150 after demanding 200 and asked us to get down as he will not put the meter. It was a journey of just 3.5 kms. 2nd one asked for 150 for 5.5 km distance. This time we insisted on meter, fare was just 65, he took 70 Checkin took time, they didn't have the deal details used while booking the room so they insisted on additional charge. When we got back to the room and got connected on wifi, the booking details opened up and another trip to front desk was needed to fix it. Drinking water is complementary, it comes in glass bottles. The taste is not like the RO water.. Mc downstairs. Open till 2 am. Mc isn't cheap in Thailand unlike in India/ US. Same items cost more than twice in the MC. Overall good for staying in shopping and busy centre of Bangkok.

If you travel for business or vacation this hotel is recomended for you. 800m walk from the hotel you will find several mall. If you want to have cheap transportation National Stadium MBS station is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Tuk-tuk, taxi is very easy to find. The rooom enough for bussines traveller like me. Breakfasf was good.

This is a late review but I want to share our experiences with this hotel. Let me start by saying that this is a very busy hotel. Made a reservation and paid for it in April 2017. Requested 2 rooms with a connecting door. We arrived in August 2017 at about 2100. They were not able to provide us with the requested rooms. Instead we were given 2 separate rooms which were not even side by side . The positive thing was they were on the same floor. My sister in law complained that their room smelled of mildew ( probably cleaning materials). The clerk in the front desk ( not sure if his name was Ramon(?). I am sorry ,I can’t remember his name) was apologetic and he promised that he would make sure we’ll have the rooms we requested the following night. We had to pack our bags before we left for sightseeing the following day and placed them in their storage room. I just don’t like the idea of packing again your bags and ‘hauling’ them in the lobby and then getting them again when we arrived at night. We were out the whole day sightseeing and came back at night ( super tired). Luckily, we were given the rooms that we requested this time! My niece was super happy ! That was the only negative comment . Breakfast was ok ( on a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it 3.5). The place was small, so have your breakfast early because it’s hard to find a table . The menu was the same except for noodles / porridge rice or congee. We enjoyed the breakfast and was very ‘filling’ to start our day. Location on the other hand was perfect. There was a McDonalds ( only a door separated it from the hotel). The hotel was also near a train station and from there you can go everywhere. Thailand is a beautiful country!

A typical IHG Express hotel. Comfortable rooms, great beds, strong AC, great location, right next to the National Stadium metro station. There is even a McDonald's and a Singha beer stall at the ground floor. Only thing they can work on perhaps is adding to the breakfast spread. The spread is functional, but just adequate. Ordering an egg and requesting for bacon took significant time to get serviced.

Stayed 3 nights, the check in was smooth and hassle free, staff at reception was very cordial and friendly. The room had all the basic things including toiletries, the bed was very comfortable and cozy. The breakfast though not lavish but had all the basic things covered, highlight being the coffee and tea dispensing machine. Coming to the location, the location is very near to major shopping malls like MBK, Siam Paragon and Siam Centre, BTS National Stadium and nearest 7/11 is just a 2 minute walk. Mc donalds have an outlet just beneath the hotel which is again a major plus point.
