The hotel has a lovely big lobby doubling as a bar & lounge. There are a lot of staff around the lobby, but the couple of times we were at the reception desk there were long queues & it appears that there are too few behind the counter serving customers & too many standing looking useless. The pool is very nice & the staff at the towel bay & the bar couldn't be more helpful & friendly. You can get a great view of the new pixelated skyscraper from the poolside. Our room was big & clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is well designed & spacious, but our shower roof was shabby with paint peeling & dropping off. Also our rain head didn't work so you could only use the handheld attachment to shower which made it very difficult to wash your hair. Very disappointing especially aim. Eat e reception made a big deal of this being our bigger, better upgraded room. I'd hate to have seen the smaller original room. The free water in the room is a nice touch and there is room in the minibar to stick milk for coffee. We didn't have breakfast included and we did eat in the hotel one morning. There is lots of choice for all nationalities and the dining room is bright and airy with lots of staff. You also get a nice large mug of tea or coffee which is a great idea. We encountered a problem when the bill came to our table for THB647 when we'd been quoted THB450 by the reception desk. We signed the docket as we felt 647 was still a sensible price for what we'd eaten. You can get a much better deal for breakfast just out side the hotel in the family mart store. You can get a superb breakfast deal including coffe, juice and a continental for THB179 or cooked for THB190. I'd recommend this option. The big problems with this hotel come at check out. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE MORNING YOU NEED TO LEAVE, TO CHECK OUT. You will be late, do it the night before. Same issues as before - too few staff to deal with the customers queuing to check out or ask questions. We were presented with a bill that included our THB 647 for breakfast & they also added 450 which the poor girl could not explain. She investigated and fumbled, but could not explain what the charge was. We eventually paid the charge, promising to take it up with customer services at a later time. The chaos continued outside when we tried to get a taxi. We'd enquirer the night before and we're told a taxi to BKK Noi would take 20 minutes & there was no need to book. 3 taxis later........none of the drivers knew where the station was......and we were back at the reception desk. We actually missed our morning train & the reception staff told us that drivers don't want to go to Noi as it is out of the way & we have to order a taxi to go that way. This was something we would have done if we'd been told correctly the night before. So instead of being on the 0745 train up to Kanchanaburi, we had to hang around & wait for the 1355 train. A total waste of half a day & totally the fault of the reception staff. The concierge finally ran an independent taxi firm, agreed a price & a time for pick up. We finally got checked out & into our independent taxi at 1130. The hotel really needs to improve the reception area, number of staff & the information they are providing to guests. I would not come back here based on too many problems. Disappointing since it s a really lovely hotel with lots to offer.

This hotel offers excellent service, comfort and is situated very conveniently in Silom, in one of the busiest areas of the city. On this occasion I was taking the buffet lunch, which was superb, with an unusually wide variety of meats, seafood, desserts which could only appeal to every palate!

Came for a one nighter, and everything was to my satisfaction. Service is top notch. in the area there are many Thai Massage locations, shopping options and eating places as well as bars rights outside.

This is a old hotel but i was amazed by their level of upkeep of the place. This is my first time staying in this hotel. Everything is great from the doorman, front desk , room service all are great. Well there is one thing, the elevator is still the old type, anyone can use it to go up anywhere, hope the management got to look into this, the security of your customers are upmost priority. The breakfast is good but and be improve. They had two indian food which i think its not up to standard either improve it or simply dish it out.

I'm not really a 'chain' hotel guest, especially when a city like Bangkok has so many nice boutique hotels. However stayed at the Holiday Inn Silom as it was for a friends birthday and there were a few of us there together. Holiday Inn must do a lot of staff training, because the staff here were excellent, extremely helpful and very welcoming. It felt more like a Shangri-La or Four Seasons. Rooms were a good size, quite modern and comfortable despite the building envelope looking dated, so i'm guessing it was refurbed in the last year or so. Location is also very good as its only a short distance to the toll roads, and a 7-10min walk to the nearst BTS station. All in all...its good as any location if you like the Silom side of town, i'd happily stay again.

To the staff at the Holiday Inn, Stayed in From September 24th to October 7th. My first time staying at holiday inn and j was pleasantly surprised. Both the service and the room was more like a 5star hotel rather than the 3 star you are listed under. Also the gym facilities open 24/7 was a big plus to me. special thanks goes to the executive team, led by K' Bee who were more than accommodating to me, especially organising daily trips/taxis/booking restaurants etc…. I plan on returning to Bangkok next year for a longer stay and will definitely be looking to stay with you again. Yours faithfully Mr Neil Matthews

Hotel is very good location in Silom for business. The room are clean, good space, bathroom too. Price a little bit high but ok. Breakfast full compleete and good. A lot of restaurant around or you can eat in the Hotel. The weak point that lobby was very cold...need to regulate the AC.

I have been to Bangkok so many times and try to look such a nice place to stay. Finally I did find a these hotel and very good price......The room is very big ,clean and fantastic view.Hotel staff are frankly and smile.I would like to tell you one thing who they stay in these hotels........ for them very convenience to go any where in Bangkok BTS is into 10 minutes by walk from hotel....... and shopping center.see you guys.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights with Gate 1 Tours there and saw a roach climb out of the snack bowl in the bar and a roach was on the table next to us at breakfast ! I am not looking forward to the last night of our tour there again.

Very clean and well located. Few miles from most attractions. Staff is very friendly and super polite. If you're a foodie. Buffet is EXCEPTIONAL. Fresh food from sea food to fruits, veggies and deserts. Apichart, one of the buffet supervisor is very attentive to your expectation and happiness. Don't forget to try Natta's crepes. She does them better than in Paris. (And im French) Definitely recommend this hotel.
