the staff were useless,not no help whatsoever they would't even give you directions they said you got to find it yourself,i would not stay there again the room was ok was clean the location was okay but the hotel staff were the rudest staff i've come across and i've traveled a lot,so i would stay somewhere else
Terrible hotel. The attitude shown by the frontline check-in staff was the worst I've seen. When I was going to check-in, she pulled a long and glum face for no reason. Then, my mom requested, if possible, for the rooms to be on the same floor and near to each other as we had booked 3 rooms. The staff replied, "I don't know" in a fed up manner. My mom repeated to the staff to check whether the arrangement was possible and again the staff replied, "I don't know" in an irritated tone. Thereafter, she requested for all the passports to verify the check-in details. We were travelling in a group of 7 and it took time to consolidate the passports. So while waiting for the rest to pass their passports, I passed mine first for the staff to be able to check my details. However, the staff asked me in a very condescending and arrogant tone "Are you checking-in alone? Are you the only one in the room?”. Moreover, she knows we booked 3 rooms so that line of questioning was unnecessary. At that point, I lost my cooI and told her the rest needed time to find their passports and who was she to talk to me in that manner. I requested to see the manager but she said there was no manager in the hotel. The backend staff then came to counter to assist us in the checking-in process, as I didn't want interact with her. Neither she nor the backend staff was willing to provide her name. The rooms were very basic. An empty fridge, no coffee or tea sachets to make drinks and worst part, the bed sheets were not changed. There was a dried red blob on my bed sheet. Shudders to think what it could have been. Wifi in the rooms were non-existent. Only wifi at the lobby was usable. Room service was slow, came late at 4pm and didn't change the towels. Only changed when requested. Hotel seems to be massively understaffed. Whats makes it worse is that some of the staff that they have do not have the right attitude. Agree with what some reviewers mentioned to stay somewhere else if you have a choice. I would give this hotel a negative rating if that option was available. I will not visit this hotel again and will tell my family, friends and acquaintances the same. Terrible, terrible hotel.
i was there by tour . and this hotel was the second cheapest one . the location is very far from city center but close to metro location room and service are ok but average . BREAKFAST is good but dont expect luxury. the neighborhood is not good for family but i didnt see any bad scenes this hotel has a swimming pool in the rood but very small and most of time empty.
Bad location.. bad and unfriendly staff,old hotel need to fix everything.. this hotel is like welcome to hell...i will never ever comeback in this hotel.. my first and last in this awful hotel.. wasting money.. not worth to pay...
I guess this Was a great hotel years ago, but nowadays the hotel is old, lacks mantainance and the service is not good at all. We even had go directly to get toilet paper cause there wasn't any in the room. The air conditioner Was really noisy. It's a shame cause there's a lot of potential and it's quite close to everything.
the worst hotel in my life... not worth for money to... electricity often dieee and elevator cant be used.. bad breakfast...room keys always erorr, air conditioner not working. if you got this hotel from travel agent so you will come closer to hell
We had to argue with them for like an hour to let us switch rooms to one that could get one bar of wifi signal. They lied and said the rooms were full until we showed them on a travel website that rooms were still available for booking. Breakfast was also the most tasteless thing I've ever eaten. Would not stay again.
I have to say that I did not choose this hotel, I was sent here because the one I booked was oversold. Let's start with the smell: the lobby smells like a wet dog, the elevator like an old cushion and the room has that smell of humidity that is disgusting the whole time. Location, close to a station but no easy for drivers to get you there. The hotel is really old and lacks maintenance... and let me add it could be cleaned more often (the floor has not been cleaned for the last months or years, at least it looks like it). None of the pictures you see in their webpage is updated. The service is poor. The laundry took forever. You cannot make calls outside the hotel. The taxi service in the lobby is not trustful. Overall bad experience.
This is my 3rd trip in 3 years to Thailand and to this hotel, staying 2 1/2 weeks. As a somewhat sophisticated traveler who has been to this hotel and Bangkok, I took the train link from the airport to the BTS station where I got off at Siam and switched train for Chong Nonsi station. There, I went to money exchange place to convert my US $ to baht. Money Exchangers provide the best rate for converting your home currency to baht. Thereafter, I crossed the street and waved down a taxi to the hotel via Sathorn Rd which for me as a solo traveler saved me about 400 baht. As this was my 3rd trip, I don't mind the location but for first time travelers, the location is on a soi off of the main road, Sathorn, The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from the BTS Surasuk station. Soi(s) are narrow lanes and at night are not well lit but perfectly safe. I recognized some staff members from behind the counter which is nice because a year ago, there was a complete turnover of staff. I believe a number of them can speak Cantonese and Mandarin in addition to some English and of course Thai. The hotel caters to travelers from all over the world, including Hong Kong, China, UK, Russia, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. As expected from a 3 star hotel, the staff's English is somewhat limited but for me it wasn't a problem because I normally do not ask or demand a lot from the staff. I can understand the complaints from individuals from an non-English speaking countries trying to communicate in their limited English to the staff whose English is also limited. It can be frustrating on both sides. I believe the best policy is to be friendly and speak slowly if you want the best results. I requested one large bed and stayed in the same room as two years ago. My room was cleaned daily with the changing of towels mostly. Sheets are not changed daily but I requested a change every 3 days without complaint from the staff. I observed most travelers stay on average 1-2 or 2-3 days at the most. The tv channels are somewhat limited as to English speaking channels. Wifi is available and decent. The hotel has a pool on the roof which is a welcome respite from daily activities. The back of the pool is not finished and to many is an eyesore. Above the pool is a spot with some tables where one can sit outside of the sun. It is a pity that the hotel does not convert the pool area into a cocktail lounge at night for guests to use and enjoy. I believe the pool closes early evening. During my stay, I booked both the meal plan and without the plan. Without the meal plan, I walked 5 minutes to a nearby place that serves mostly to Assumption college students for an Asian breakfast. With the meal plan, I find the buffet adequate and probably worth the extra price. Service is good in that the staff quickly cleans up the tables from departing guests. I have learned to use the pickup truck buses (#1245) for short trips. You can flag them down anywhere on their route and have them stop anywhere. The cost was only 7 baht. I flagged one down on Sathorn and the truck bus to the last stop which is the BTS Thaksin station by the river. Behind the station, ferry boats are available to go to the various sightseeing spots, including the Grand Palace and other nearby venues. The regular ferry boat costs only 15 baht...a bargain. There are also tourist boats which cost more but still very affordable. On the opposite route, the truck buses will take you to a street where there are a lot of street food places and restaurants. One of my favorite eatery is located there. On my day of departure, the staff called the tuk tuk driver at 9am who drove me to Surasak station where I took the BTS train to the rail link transport to the airport. What service! I will continue to stay at this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok.
Ok why it's dangerous for foreigners ? Coz u can't make any call out from the hotel Phone . My husband is at hospital I begged the receptionist to help me make a phone call . They reply you with simple english "can't call " I said it's emergency !! Please help they said " no . Sorry , can't call . " that's really ridiculous and no mercy at all . I know I wasn't paying that much to stay at a nice hotel .I didn't ask much even they said they have free shuttle to the BtS but they always reply "no driver " or they said they gonna change my ugly pillow Which is not in shape for my basic comfort I just never show them any attitude but on my 5th night just for a local emergency phone I was pissed off!
