The hotel is nice and staff is cooperative. As the hotel is in the capital city so rooms are usually smaller as compared to other places in Thailand however the suite is very spacious but I felt it is not well designed. We were given one lobby area which had no furniture in the room except the wardrobe and one chair (which was not really comfortable) and a small table . Rest of the room was all empty. The room had an amazing view of the city, the beautiful sparkling lights at the night but where to sit and enjoy that beauty!! The bedroom was quite comfortable with amazing view from the room. Food and room service is good as we go to order something vegetarian there The reception is on the 4th floor with a small pool. All the rooms are non-smoking.
Don't come here if you want 4 star quality. The rooms are very dirty. There's carpet on the floor but they do not vacuum clean it. The bathroom door is filled with dirty stains. Hairs from previous visitors are still on the floor. The walls look bad. And there is dust everywhere! Housekeeping is not good at all.
We stopped here for just one night before we had to fly home, we had a huge suite with a kitchen, sitting area, large bathroom and a massive bed.. all very nice indeed especially for the price we paid. The swimming pool and pool are was ideal and very relaxing, we were both just a bit miffed that the pool area only gets the sun until about 2pm which is a bit daft really! Never mind. Minor issue but we wanted to catch some rays on our last day! But other than that lovely hotel. Thanks
Good location and value-for-money for a basic hotel. Rooms are clean and staff are accommodating to various requests (we've traveled to Chiang Mai and had to leave our bags for a few days). Easily accessible taxi and tuk-tuk and in a quiet area.
The room is outdated, but the price should have given that away. The beds are hard. But, the room is clean and that is always important. The hotel is situated a few blocks from the main street in Sukhumvit 20. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. There is also a shuttle that will take you to the train station, but know that it only operates after 8:30 a.m. and shuts down by a certain time as well, so make sure to enquire about this. And, if you are expecting a pick up, also make sure that your phone works in Thailand or you will have quite a walk when you feet hurt. Just note that this hotel is far away from the heart of the heart of the touristy areas in Bangkok and this is a big downside. If you are coming to see many of these sites, you may want to familiarize yourself with Bangkok a little more. It took us an hour to travel each way as the trains do not take you all the way and you will need to figure out how to make it all the way to the river, the Grand Palace, etc. Otherwise, since we weren't aware of the location mishap, we found this to be a good choice.
I traveled with my mom and we stayed there 7 days . The front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful . Room was old and run down, television had bad connection , we couldn't watch TV during our stay . The location of hotel is worst , you have to walk long way to the nearest BTS station (Asoke station - linked to Terminal 21 shopping mall). Breakfast was boring and waitresses not very helpful (except 2 waitresses with long hair, the other ones never smiled ) . The housekeeping always left my room 1 small towel (though we were 2 people) and we always had to call front desk to bring us more towel , it happened more than 3 times !!! One more thing , don't ever leave any cash in your room and go outside without bringing it . I think someone stole my cash while i was not in the room !!!
100metres from Main Road and around 10-12mins walk form the Metro service this hotel is a nice place to stay. Stayed in 3rd week of Feb with family, staff was warm friendly and spoke excellent English as compared to most others we interacted and spent time with. They have room service for food but there are plenty options in the same street and parallel street which is within 10mins walking distance. Domino s, Subway and few street vendors are within that distance. They also have a free tuk tuk service drop to BTS next to which is the huge Terminal 21 Mall as well. Breakfast options were good and their staff was quite helpful. We were upgraded to a suite which had all amenities. Only feedback would be the A/C was not as effective for the hot Bangkok weather.
In Sukhumvit is acceptable, close to main road, still silent and comfortable. Staff is slow and need to be constantly reminded to service food, drinks etc... Room is old furniture, semi clean, really old towels. Smell and Ambience on rooms and corridors is so so Swimming pool is small but comfortable. Pool bar not really opened. Breakfast is good bit staff is slow.
very good and trustworthy people, I visited there last year but but golden tulip janakpuri are fake and cheat people and they destroy the reputation. Either its the people or country culture that should be blamed ??
Golden tulip is a clean and confortable hotel in ASOK area in Bangkok. Rooms are clean and confortable but very dark. Poll area is nice and chill, prices like always in hotels are little high. There is street food and markets on the hotel street. BTS station Asok in 13minutes walk away, there is a tuk tuk service with very nice boys under the hotel. Its free of charge, but sometimes the trafic is bad and you walk faster that go with the tuk tuk. I paid 65 euros per night, we are family with 4 members but had a normal double room. Kids shared bed with parents.
