Unfortunately we stayed there 17-19 march with our Turkish group. Jolly tour arranged this hotel for us, because we bought package tour from Jolly tour. I can not believe this hotel has 4 stars?!!! Really very bad hotel. Very very bad towels. We wake up by the phone ringing of another room! I think this hotel has a cartoon walls. Only location is good. Remain is garbage..
For a cheaper hotel, this ticks the box however there are some small adjustments that could be made.. On our first night we checked in and went straight to the room. I called room services to enquire about food and they said they would check but actually hung up the phone - luckily a 7/11 is nearby. The toilet then seemed to be blocked and I called reception to get it promptly fixed. The water feature in the main entrance has hilarious 'caution' signs in it, the breakfast buffet was lukewarm/cold and after trying it once, we avoided it going forwards. The air conditioning/bathroom light and fridge then stopped working near the end of our stay and we were moved to another room without issue. In fact, we were moved to a room in better condition with a far quieter air conditioning unit and more water pressure (maybe as a result of moving further down in the building). The rooms themselves were spacious enough however the bathrooms require a good clean (mouldy old shower curtains and tiles that need a good scrub), the balconys are for show only and you are unable to open them - I was looking forwards to having a balcony for New Year so this is a dissappointment. The mattresses were firm but comfortable so we slept well. The gym and pool on the other hand were in good condition and we used them daily. In terms of location, we were a 20 minute walk to the Ari station were we could travel with ease towards the centre of Bangkok. The surrounding area next to the hotel has a nice local, friendly atmosphere. The only nuisance was that taxi drivers did not seem to know the hotels location so take one of the business cards from reception with you that contains the address. If the rooms were cleaner and better maintained this would be ideal, otherwise I might look elsewhere if I returned to Bangkok. I feel the photos on the hotels website paint the hotel in a better light than reality. The hotel feels like it caters towards large budget tour groups.
This hotel is located at Vibhavadi Rangsit Road which has easy access to the Suvarnabhumi airport. But location wise it has disadvantage as it is away from the main city as well as tourist attractions in Bangkok. It is neither close to Blue or Green BTS stations. Another problem with this hotel is there are no nearby shops to buy tit bit food items. For vegetarians this is a difficult place. The hotel does not provide automatically the standard items like towels, water bottles etc. But if you ask for, they will provide. The swimming pool on third floor is not operational. The staff is non-English speaking, so for foreigners it poses difficulties. The rooms are not uniform some small and some big. The bathrooms have fixed showers so you can not wash your feet. Dim lighting and insufficient lights. Mirror placed behind TV. No mobile charging points in room; they are in bathroom. TV remote inoperative. The Wi-Fi is discontinued even before the check out time of 12.00 PM. They do have restaurant but will provide non-veg. However, they are courteous enough to provide veg food if you ask for. But there is a difficulty for vegetarians. I shall recommend this only for a short stay.
Room was quite spacious, very neat n clean. Staff is always great and willing to serve you any time. Good choice in the breakfast menu. Location is peaceful, 20 minutes taxi drive from the central city. 5 minutes taxi to BTS. All time great chatuchak market 10 minutes away from Taxi. Very convenient to get a taxi close to lobby. Manager Front Desk Miss. Wiliaporn was extremely helpful, guided us to every thing, to perfection. Staff at front desk speaks good English, cooperative and trustworthy too. We always have a great time and stay here. A good news is, there would be new modern rooms added soon to the existing ones. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone who loves a peaceful location.
Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever Ms. Dararat Sukkasem, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Have been more sweet, giving me directions to a function I was attending along with a helpful map, Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, room with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, This is my longer visit in sep and oct 17. The staying in the gold-orchid-bangkok was very pleasant and enjoyable for me. I liked the location, view of big window can complete bangkok awesome. The service people everywhere were very nice and polite. I liked the breakfast very much. Great staff that know the true value of customer service special mention for reception and the restaurant first class service, Special thanks to Dararat Sukkasem and her team.
I stay there for one night after hang out with my friends and join the campaign "drink don't drive". I would like to say it's over my expectation in hotel product & services. I have a good sleep in my room and enjoy breakfast fish boil rice with a big piece of fish bigger than five stars hotel. I would recommend to have dinner at M floor , unbelievable v all together 8 people v orders more than 15 items but the bill came only 1,800 THB net from promotion 30-50% discount and food is really good taste look my photo! Let's come to enjoy your dinner here!!!🤗
I booked for room in the late night, and finally reach the hotel at 4 am and i have to wake up at 7 am so i just need the room for take a nap and change the cloths The staff provided the superior bedroom (as shown in booking), but the room located in the corner of the building. It narrow and it really uncomfortable to stay. So i decide to ask for changing and the staff really kind and helpful. The room was upgraded to the executive suites, the large, clean and private one. But as i see all of the decoration furniture, Television or other was so old, but it works with the variety of channels. The breakfast are variety and ordinary. Overall i feel ok about this hotel and in my opinion this hotel better for business stay.
The service is good for everyone, but still you must use the easy english for foreign pepole. The room is enough for 2 people. The Hotel location is very strategic, not far from hotel there are chatuchak market and taxi is very cheap. They have nice view from the room
Reception abysmal, receptionist preoccupied in her own world for a good minute whilst I waited, until the porter came over bring her attention. Rooms spartan but adequate, not particularly spanking great. Mattress a bit sunken could do with some turn over or replace. Complimentary drinking water was an opened bottle left over from previous guest, poor house keeping.
It was a very good hotel at comfortable price. Food was excellent. Rooms and services were great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. You have to change wifi password every day. Location isn't close to MRT, but than you got uber these days. If they provide some shuttle service few times a day for hotel to nearest MRT and/or shopping mall, it would be perfect. I think I am gonna stay here next time again.
