We stayed at Furama Silom for 6 nights in an executive club room with access to the Executive club lounge. During our stay we found the service to be consistently impressive from all staff. In particular a big thank you to Nitaree, we found her to be friendly and always went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after that made our stay very enjoyable. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the room was clean and well presented. This hotel is very good value for money and would definitely recommend and stay here again. The only room for improvement that would be to improve the breakfast variety and to clean the tables more frequently in the mornings, so customers have more room to find a table that is prepared. Making these small adjustments would definitely have improved the experience.
This was a good hotel for the price we've paid. Good location and a clean room. Not a very attractive restaurant to have dinner in. Service was good though. When leaving the hotel, the Bangkok street smell was immediately right there in your face! Even on the groundfloor at the elevator. But that's also Bangkok!
It's just that. Early checkout wasnt possible. We asked to have breakfast when we arrived, which was crazy expensive. Breakfast has many options, but for what it costs the Western breakfast really is only soso. Pool and beds are nice. Rooms are spacious and clean. All in all - fine.
I had stayed in this same hotel but in the deluxe room and was quite impressed the previous stay but for this trip had decided to book a superior room. Bad choice as the quality is so bad I actually am insulted. The deluxe room was tastefully decorated whereas the superior room is at the most a cheap motel grade room. Thoroughly disappointed. Bath towels which are frayed at the ends...Lampshade that have seen better days..cheap ugly grey furniture...and this one takes the cake, blood stained pillows that was originally put on the bed..i swap w extra pillows they had supplied in the cupboard but it should have been thrown out and not let guest even see it by tge housekeeping.Everything that spells cheap.. however it's alright if it's budget price but presently it's over 2000bht per nite. But what incensed me most is they make those who book a cheaper room feels like a second class customer in a same hotel altho the price difference is not much
For several years when in Bangkok I have stayed at another hotel. Once you find a place you like you tend to use it over and over. Due to a couple of reasons I decided to give the Furama Silom a try. Very seldom when in Thailand have I ever used a chain hotel. There just seems to be so many local ones which are good options. I'm glad I did give the Furama Silom a try. Check in was smooth. The room was big and very nice with a king bed and a sitting area with a sofa and easy chair. They have a small refrigerator in the rooms to hold food or drinks you bring back to the room and even have a small console by your bed to control the A/C and lights. Very convenient when going to bed. They also have a nice rooftop pool and gym. The gym was well equipped with free weights, various machines, treadmills and exercise bikes. I was a little disappointed though. I went to the gym my first day there to use an exercise bike. There were two. One wasn't plugged in and one you could not adjust the seat so unless you were 5 feet tall it was uncomfortable to use. Breakfast was included in the rate and I have to say it was very good. It's directed more to the Asian and European crowds but there was a large selection from sushi to scrambled eggs made to order and omlettes. The location is very convenient right in Silom Road and about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the BTS Skytrain.
I was very impressed with this hotel and my room. It was massive! comfortable bed, large couch, table and fridge. Air con a little noisy and it is pretty hot in the hallways but honestly you walk through in about 10 seconds. Staff were very lovely, every staff member who passed me greeted me with a smile and hello. Breakfast buffet was substantial (way more than I expected for a complimentary breakfast) and the rooftop pool was nice, especially in the evenings. Good location, about a 5 minute walk to the nearest BTS station and the Silom area in general is really nice, a bit more corporate business style. Downside was there were not so many street food or cheap Thai restaurants in the close proximity to the hotel (I guess I was surprised because I live in Vietnam, where food options are everywhere and was expecting the same in Thailand). I did my research beforehand and I couldn't find comparable hotels in this area of the same price and facilities. I will definitely stay again on the future on my trips to BKK.
Stayed there couple of hours just to pass the day before my late night flight. I chose this place because of a swiming pool on the roof. This pool was the only acceptable place in the hotel ( although I was far from being impressed ). The rest is nightmare. Corridors dont have A/C which makes them very hot. The whole building has got bad smell. It looks shaby and tired but what is worst is the number of insects there!! The first thing I saw entering the room was a huge cocroach on the pillow. Just a moment later i realised that there was more of them. Also other insects were there. Finaly, the hotel warns you not to take taxis standing outside ( as it is supposed to be dangerous and risky ) but when you ask for the taxi at the reception - guess what? They get you precisely the same taxi standing outside against which they warned you ( but at a higher price than the one you can get directly !!) All in all extremely shabby place. I was lucky not to stay there over the night. !! Highly disourage everyone from going there.
We booked one day at Furama before the flight at night to have a pool and a place to spend the last day of holidays. Reception was fine and staff very nice. Since it was morning We went to the poolside which is small but decent, with towels, sumbeds and a rooftop bar. Not bad. When our room was ready, on entering, the first thing I saw was a black bug dissappearing under the pillow and a couple more of them around the room. In the bathroom there was another insect species, not as gross as cocroaches but still... don't go is my only recommendation for Furama.
The hotel is very good to stay in the city and reach the principal monuments (by taxi). They are nice and helpful people, the rooms are very confortable and clean... Also I forgot my diamond ring in the room and I just remembered at the airport, so I call, they fond it and return me 10 days after when we return from the islands... amasing team, thank you all!!!!
This hotel offered perfect ending for our holiday. There is a rooftop terrace with swimming pool and a bar with stunning views. Breakfast could not have been better - there is everything you can think of. A really positive surprise was the small gym with some really basic gym equipment. Rooms were modern, comfortable and stylish. Glass walls in the toilet was a surprise (luckily there are curtains..). The location is ok - short walk needed to get to the train. Only couple stops away from MBK shopping center. All in all absolutely recommend!
