We stayed for on night in transit. Nice big clean rooms, good showers. They offer a free bus shuttle from the airport, but we got a taxi for just 200bt, and the free shuttle back the next day. It’s set in a quiet road, and less than a five minute walk, will bring you to a main road, with lots of nice local restaurants. Don’t expect Mc Donald’s or western food in this area. We went to a really nice local restaurant, had two large bottles of beer, spicy Thai pork, seafood glass noodle salad, and a nice mixed rice dish, 330 bt the lot. They offer a free golf trolly if you don’t want to walk, drop you, and pick you up. All in all great value, clean and friendly.
The worst hotel we stayed during our 3 weeks holiday. We waited more than one hour at the airport for the shuttle (the flight from Myanmar to Bangkok was faster!!!), and when we told this to the receptionist at the hotel, she just shruged and said sorry. No smile, nothing more!! Everything written about this hotel in the Booking.com was not to be had in the hotel. Only two Bath towels-no face towels, except for a soap and shampoo spender in the shower, nothing else. The room had no Balcony (read Booking.com), a vey old Tube Television with few programms that were clear enough to watch and very thin walls. I had to get up in the middle of the night to to shout in the hotel corridor for people to be quite in the other rooms. The walls are too thin for sound proof. Hotel personal very aloof/impersonal. As we had to leave the hotlel at 06.00 A.M., we wanted to know whether we could have take away breakfast. Only then were we informed that it was possible. If we did not ask, she would never have informed us!! Anyway, we threw away the breakfast parcels at the airport as it was not edible. Rotten tomatoes, faul smelling crabmeat, and raw cabbage. This is no way a RESORT and people should pay a little bit more and stay in better hotels than this.
Up and coming and they were very nice to me ! This is a new hotel and for thailand , it did the job ! Not expensive and a free club car ride to the store ! Thanx Maggie for the great service! I will stay here again one day and look forward to seeing you ! Thankyou
Really basic hotel. They offered a free shuttle from airport, which was nice. The check-in was efficient, though not friendly. I got a wake-up knock at the door, which was nice. The shower was fantastic and the hot water flowed freely. The A/C was cold (once it started going). I did have some mosquitoes in the room, so dealing with that wasn't great. I didn't have the "free" breakfast as I had to leave early. Though it was reasonable for an arriving flight, and the free shuttle, having mosquitoes in the room was unacceptable. Perhaps after the renovations it will be worth-while.
I wish there was a lower rating than 1* We checked in today and 10 minutes later we checked straight out. There are numerous problems with this 'hotel' aka hell, however I've already wasted my time enough. We were checked into the wrong room, when we told reception we had two little girls who looked 15 screaming at us telling us the photos are only for the website lol- who even admits to that? Tiny box tv in the room instead of a plasma tv, what generation are we in? There are rats in the hotel and fleas in the bed. We checked out straight away where the receptionist actually threw my partners passport in his face and said to us 'don't ever come back to thailand' it's a shame we've travelled the whole of Thailand and never met someone as rude as the cocky receptionist. I would not stay here unless you like rats, mosquitos, bloody sheets, mould on the ceiling and walls and verbal abuse. The worse place I've ever stayed. They need to update the hotel and most definitely the staff.
Pros: Close to airport Cons: Room decor. Towels, toiletries i.e soap to wash hands. Breakfast plus eating area. Location: Close to airport with some good Bangkok street food near by This place is very old fashioned. We were slightly worried about staying here as it looked so dodgy! However it was only for one night as we had an early morning start and it was close to the airport. I would not recommend staying here for any longer than a night. Breakfast was supposed to be continental but consisted of cereal and/or toast. I guess you get what you pay for!! Ok for one night if you have an early start. Oh on a plus the bedding was clean. The place is being renovated so may improve the appearance.
Firstly, this hotel is nothing like the pictures advertised! It is currently under renovation so will hopefully look better soon. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel claim that you will only have to wait a maximum of 15 minutes at the airport for the shuttle, however we waited about half an hour. We arrived at the hotel late at night and just wanted a bed to sleep in until our flight home the next morning. The hotel is fine for that, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything more. When we arrived we were starving but didn't feel safe walking up the dark lane to the 7/11 so decided to just go to sleep and have breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was shockingly bad, would not recommend eating it. On a more positive note, the staff were friendly and offered to carry our bags and the shuttle back to the airport was on time.
Not quite the idyll its name suggests, Floral Shire is a basic hotel conveniently located near the airport. It's at the end of an alleyway but was within walking distance of some shops and restaurants. The staff were quite surly but relatively efficient, offering a wake up call service and hourly drop offs to the airport day and night. The hotel is currently under renovation so it is quite noisy during the day. It was quite good value for money though given its location.
i.e. not much. Bears very little similarity to the photos on booking.com; I think those are "aspirational"; they are currently refurbishing the hotel. We paid £50 for 2 rooms for 1 night, including free shuttles 2/from the airport (which ran efficiently 10-15 minutes away from the airport). It was clean, and given that we only spent 6 hours there between flights, it was all we needed, but they are deliberately misleading people with the photos.
Not our first choice! Staff miserable apart from the little girl in the bar! Hotel is being revamped so don't expect a glorious reception area and the bar/restaurant has seen better days. The chairs were filthy! Nothing nearby to stroll out to so really only good for a short stop over! All that said the room is clean and the beds comfortable! And at £18 a night ideal.
