its our 3rd tine to visit bangkok. we choose this hotel because of the Very good location to the pratunam market and platinum mall. Food stalls just outside the hotel and money changer just beside the hotel. Other than that, no other reasons to stay here. We Booked the premier room for 2nights And it was okay. We extended another night but we chose a different room. Dont ever booked the modern room located at the 6th floor. This is the worst part during our last night. The room is like an empty space with just a bed and a bathroom.no sidetable. No lamp. Thin walls. You can hear every guest outside the room talking and shouting. Air condition is noisy. Bathroom is very old. Lady staff at the lobby not very approachable.
I booked a last minute booking with my cousin. The price is quite higher than normal. First of all, i met a male receptionist his attitude was not much friendly. Check in without any hotel information. After that, what the service did i get from the hotel? Hell!! The room was very terrible ! Look not hygiene. My sister and i laid on the sheet, and it make us itched. I tried to call to reception through the board direction on the table but i could not call them. It was a midnight i was really tired and really sleepy but i could not sleep with that sheet and the air condition is noisy. I came down and met a female receptionist she did not answer my question and speak to bellman by thailand language. I did not understand what is the communication between her n the old bellman. Then she asked me come back my room with the bellman. I was really angry with bellman he is not friendly with us. His attitude very very bad with me. He explained to us know that i have to turn off the fan in the aircondition it is not their faults. I explained to him know that we want to change the room bc the sheet and need a double bed aswell. ( twin bed is quiet small). I show him my sister back, her back is look like bit by some insects. He did not hear me went out closed the door strongly. I was really unhappy and angry with him. This is the first time in thailand and that is the frist worst service i have ever known. Finally, the female receptionist she got a room for us with king size bed n the sheet better for us. I have to say thanks about her support! Please be careful about the hygiene and improve hospitality industry!
Hotel is right in the garment wholesale area of Pratunam market, soi 19 Petchburi. Mainly chinese customers at the hotel. A bit noisy in the lobby and restaurant. All Receptionists were very efficient, courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and house keeping efficient. No safebox though. The main 2 lifts in the lobby are in one building, from which you step off to a kind of passageway to another building's extension to reach the room i booked in. Passage way is all indoors, so no problem. Breakfast was good, tasty, good variety, but mostly asian style. Although i have to say great coffee! Dining staff were also attentive and courteous throughout the stay. Due to location of middle of the market, might be traffic problem to reach during peak hours from 10 am to 4 pm. But getting to the main road is only a matter of 5 mins. walk from hotel. No problems there too. TIP : Soi 19 is like a dead end lane, blocked by a large building. BUT Soi 19 is interconnected to Soi 17 by a passageway between the 2 streets, in the form of the BENZ hotel portico (next to Juldis tower, right in front of First House hotel), which also serves as a small lane. So pls. walk thru that passageway to get to Soi 17 and all the street vendors and snacks will be at your fingertips! ENJOY!
We stayed here 2 nights. That's a terrible memory for us! Staff: Attitude of reception staff and security staff is extremely poor. They do not know how to greet or smile with guests. When working with receptionists, they are not polite and rude to guests. At this hotel do also pay a fine, and they never actively help guests. If you want to stay in this hotel must deposit for them 1000bth / room! Can not deposit by passport. This is very troublesome to foreigners because after paying back they have to redeem their currency. Local: The location is in the middle of the pratunam market, the people who want to go shopping are ok, but those who want to go to the resort should not stay here, because it is quite noisy. Room: The old room, the sound insulation is not good, you can listen to the next room to talk or walk outside Breakfast: The breakfast here was quite delicious on the first day, but the second day was very bored because the dish was not changed
Really enjoyed staying there. Free wifi, free breakfast. If u get bored with the breakfast, you can have breakfast nearby. There is a lot of food stall in Pratunam market. As you know Pratinum market open at early morning till midnight with 3 shifts. Each shift sells different products. From clothes, wallet, handbag, etc. It also near Platinum mall. Tips for wifi = you must first log in on the first floor, then you can use it in your room. You can't log in the wifi on your room.
The alley going to the hotel is quite narrow and full of people. Service is quite nice and average but the best thing is its location. Which is very near to shopping malls. Just as what their motto says "the heart of Pratunam". thanks tripadvisor
2 night stay at this hotel with friends, hotel looks old but surprising nice for three person room. Big room, solid bed, comfort for sleep. 5 minutes walks to Platinum Fashion mall, and so many food stall and convenient store near by, next step to Pratunam Market, good location for shopping. Overall is ok, just the lift too small and got lizard in the bathroom. It's worth for the money we paid, will come back again.
This was a very basic hotel, it's more likely for you to do fashion merchandising with the wholesale seller if you are a fashion merchants in your own country. The only selling point for this hotel is the location. Most shopping malls are within walking distance. You can find food easily available just outside the hotel. You can put away any expectation which will most of the time will be self service. The interior of the room is big, what I mean is you can house about 10 average size people into the room.
It was my first time in Bangkok and this hotel was highly recommended to me by my travel agent, thus, my expectations were a bit high. However, upon checking in, I'd say that our room was a bit of a letdown. The room was pretty basic and simple. There were no elegant furnishings and it seemed old already. But what' really nice was that it was really spacious. We booked a triple sharing and there were ample space for us and for our luggage. PROS: 1. Location. The best thing about the hotel is its location. It's located just beside Pratunam market which is a good source for low-priced (for both wholesale and retail) but definitely of quality clothes, shoes and fashion accessories. If you're from the Philippines, Pratunam market is their version of the Divisoria market. 2. Breakfast. Food was great. Although there were only several choices, what's nice is that they changed the menu daily. So you won't worry that you'd eat the same breakfast everyday. Another plus was the very accommodating staff at the restaurant. 3. Spacious room. Ample space for a group or family reservation. 4. Free mineral water daily. Stayed here for 2N/3D and each day they gave us 1 liter of mineral water for free. CONS: 1. Ambiance. Not a very inviting ambiance. Everything just seemed old. Plus, we really didn't have a nice view. Our room was at the first floor (they have the ground floor, mezzanine and then the first floor) and our window view was a dome exhaust room ventilator. 2. Elevators were t0o small. They have two elevators but only a maximum of 6 persons can fit each lift, less if the passengers have their luggage with them. Plus, elevators were slow. 3. Limited English-speaking staff. Although the staff have basic understanding of the English language, sometimes it was difficult to understand what they were saying. 4. There was only 1 English TV channel. Based on the TV channel list, there were about 3 English channels but we found only 1. 5. Wifi was not working. Upon check-in, they gave us the wifi password. But during our entire stay at the hotel, we weren't able to log-in and use their wifi. We had to rely on the data connection we subscribed to at the airport. 6. The beds were a bit stiff and not comfortable.
