Nothing much to share over here, its just a small budget hotel. At night its quite dark to walk back to hotel. We searced using Gps and it bring us to walk thru carpark to hotel. Outside night time no food stall at all.
First house location in the middle of Pratunam morning market. Especially in the morning was so crowded and car n motorbike was right in front of the hotel entrance. Hotel lift was old and slow and it might need to wait awhile. Room was alright but the bathroom was Choked and even ask the duty tech too fix it but somehow still the same. Many food stall and clothes stall just beside the first house hotel. If you are out from the whole day but just come back at night for a rest then maybe can think about first house as your choice too.
The hotel location is really good, it's in the middle of Pratunam Market and just about 5-10 minutes by walk to the big mall like Platinum on Petchburi Road. Many food and clothes stall next to the hotel. lucky for me the Hotel give me free upgrade from Modern Superior Room to premier room. Room are clean and also the bathroom, Room are very spacious and beds are comfortable to sleep in. breakfast was good, tasty, good variety, but mostly asian style. The elevator very small & slow, i take more than 5 minutes just for waiting for the elevator.
I am a regular at First House..i never expect first class treatment because I am out to explore Pratunaum most of the day...my only requirement is clean room, bed, toilet, good wifi and a convenient location. This is the hotel for me. With this price people please don't expect 5 star hotel buffet. Simple breakfast spread like this is good enough for me. Pratunaum has got lots of nice food outlets so please explore outside of First Hotel if you can. The market is smack right next to this hotel, can you imagine after shopping you can dump all your stuff and head right back to shopping again? ha you never thought about this right?? So Yes, i will be back.
Stayed for one night transit as the Baiyoke Sky and the Baiyoke Suite Hotel were fully booked this Saturday. The hotel is almost solely catering to Chinese (shopping) guests and is recognisable as such in details as the totally empty fridge in the room or the matching customer service orientation of the front desk staff. You come here to sleep. It promises nothing more, nothing less. Pro's: - location perfect for shopping and dining. Also perfect located for fast train access to Suvarnabumi Internation Airport via station Ratchaprarop at 600 meter from the hotel. - room and bathroom were a basic but it was clean. - staff did the job they had to do without much small talk. Con's: - elevator capacity to small during peak hours. I was lucky to be on a lower floor and took the (rather rundown) stairs down. For my goal the hotel fulfilled my requirements and there was really nothing to complain about. So thank you for that First House Bangkok! But I would probably first try another hotel in the area on my next visit.
Firstly , its not really a hotel, its a hostel and is run as such. The location is really good, basically in the middle of Pratunam Market and a short walk to the bigger malls (Platinum, Pantip) on Petchburi Road. The vast majority (as in 98%) of the guests appear to be Chinese online retailers who use it as a base for filling huge bags full of wholesale clothing from Pratunam market to sell back home. One odd thing we noticed was the staff whose job is not customer service - the cleaning staff - were generally really friendly and always smiling - the staff who were employed to service customers (front desk staff and porters) are unsmiling and not overly pleasant. So to the positives - we booked a triple room for 3 nights - its a good sized space for a very central room with clean but basic fittings. At 100 USD per night we might have expected the room to be a little smarter though. The breakfast buffet is small but perfectly adequate. Cleaning staff - hardworking ladies who are always ready with a smile and a "Sawadee ka".. Negatives - The front desk staff are direct and functional but not particularly pleasant. The place is run basically as a hostel - strict, non negotiable rule of one key card per room !! So bad luck if you plan to go out and come back at separate times - someone from the front desk will have to come and open the room for you if you are not the lucky card holder !! The porters / concierge are a little - lets be kind and say "reluctant". As we were leaving to go to our taxis. One porter stood and watched me move 3 suitcases at 20+ kilos each out to the taxi and then stepped forward to carry my 6 year olds 1 kilo backpack in the hope of a tip on departure ! The tip didn't happen. We wouldn't stay here again. The Amari Watergate and the Baiyoke Sky Hotel - both international class hotels , are equally good locations and charge basically the same price per room. Overpriced and basic with limited customer service.
If you are shopeeholic or online clothes seller, you will definitely love this place. Just beside the entrance for backstreet clothes market. In front of the hotel, plenty of food stall and the money changer (same row with hotel) offer good rate and it start operate early in the morning. 7-11 is just in front of the hotel too 😁 Room is clean and comfortable, price is affordable.
The location is good, many food and clothes stall next to the hotel. Just a bit walk to reach the main street. Breakfast is standard but good enough. The bad thing is elevator. Very small. Very slow. There are 8 floors with 2 tiny elevator to service all floors, and 1 even smaller elevator for the other building.
Family outing & shopping trip. Hotel is situated in a small lane around 5 mins walk from main road. Lots of foods & activity along the lane. Pratunam clothings market is just next to the hotel. A short walk along the bustlings mkt will bring you to Baiyoke Tower, Platinum shopping mall, Fashion mall & A new Computer centre is just along th main road leading to the hotel.again another interesting area. Wach out for my nex review on this episode. Getting back to Firsthouse hotel, staff is friendly, rooms is clean & tidy for this 3 stars hotel. Buffet breakfast is a variety of Asian & Continentel mixed......... Overall a pleasent 4 days stay. Check this hotel out if your priority is shopping for clothings.
My first stay there beacuse a friend wants me to booked it here. Otherwise there is no reason for me to book it here. 3nights i booked. But i only stayed for 2. Location is good, no doubt and obviously beacuse of the shopping. Other than that! Rooms are old, lift are slow, (one is under renovation) i need to wait for 2-3times for the next lift to arrive for my turn. Worst part, the water heater sucks. Cold and hot doesnt make a difference. Even the technican is here they cant seem to rectify the issuse. I need to bathe in the cold shower. I didnt ask for room change as this issue happens to my friend room too. I dont see a point changing it and wasting of my time. I think i paid to suffers Strongly recommend NO. Disappointed
