Stayed for 2 nights, although neat & clean but the moment you enter the rooms does not give you wow impression. Interior is quite old and room seems very dull. Breakfast has very limited options. There is some renovation going on in hotel so its gets noisy during day. Pros: 1 Near to BTS 2 Free Wifi Cons: 1 Slow elevators 2 Breakfast options
I liked everything about the place except that the AC kept having problems. In BKK that is not good. Otherwise the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the gym was decent. Great location. Fix the AC though please.
The hotel location was very accessible we stayed for 4 nights. The room had massive space. The breakfast food not only taste good but also changes everyday and that makes a difference for those staying longer. The noise from the busy streets doesn’t reach your room so you enjoy your relaxing stay while being at the Center of the city. We actually walked to platinum mall and Siam paragon malls. Sein, the person who checked us in in the front desk was very approachable. His assistance was essential on making our trip in Bangkok easier especially for first timers like us. All other staffs were very helpful as well, and you can always ask front desk to call you a cab. Totally a good deal!
It is a nicely located hotel in Downtown and not very far from Railway station. The reception is very friendly and the rooms are spacious with almost all the facilities. From Balcony you can see the city almost 70%.provided you stay above 4th floor.Room service is efficient. All information to walk around is also available on front desk.Taxi and other transports like TUK TUK(Motor Rickshaw )are available in 10 meter distances.Tours can be arranged at front desk.
We stayed in 3 nights with 2 rooms for 6 people. The hotel is now under construction (from 8am to 5pm) so it's a little bit noisy in day time. Staffs are very friendly & helpful. Breakfast is good. Gym & swimming pool is quite good. Bathroom & bed are just standard but acceptable. TV is old model and not many English channels, but it's OK as we don't watch TV much. The room number **12 & **14 is opposite to the sun in the afternoon so it becomes very hot. Please try to get the room on the other side if possible.
Just completed a three day stay in the Evergreen Place Siam by UHG. First, off, people should not confuse the Evergreen name with the Evergreen Laurel hotels that are run by the Taiwan based Evergreen Group of companies. The name is similar but the Evergreen Place Siam hotel is definitely NOT in that class. It's run by a Thai run (not bad in itself) hotel group, which does manage some better properties than this one. The room we were in, 1201, was a bit run down. Rainwater seeped (and likely has seemed for some time judging from the swollen wood flooring) in through the bedroom window during the rain. The television reception cut in and out because the cords look like they were pulled out (or installed) by children. That in itself was not a huge issue as we were in town to shop and take care of a few business errands, but what was slightly annoying is that we mentioned this to the reception staff no less than FIVE times and each time, they said they were sending someone to take care of it... and exactly ZERO times did they send anyone. It would have been so much better to simply say that they could not fix it. On the pro side, the door staff, housekeeping staff, bell staff, and dining room staff were wonderful. The breakfast fare was decent for the price and was fresh and varied. One more negative back with the reception staff. While they were completely polite and cordial with me and my family, I did witness a rather disturbing trend of them being a bit rude with other guests, even berating one guest for her not understanding English (which was curious because the reception staff herself had a rather difficult to understand accent as well). I wasn't a direct part of that conversation, but what I overheard and understood was that the hotel was at fault for assigning that family a different room than what was booked... so the receptionist was being condescending despite the hotel being at fault. Maybe she was just a new employee, but that's definitely the first time I've seen something like that anywhere in the world. The photo I've posted below is the torn TV cord that was still unfixed as we checked out despite having been promised to have fixed FIVE times. That's the lasting impression from this hotel. I probably won't repeat here in the future as there are so many other options in the area. Back on the plus side, there is wonderful seafood buffet right across from the hotel for $20 a head, all you can eat seafood. The hotel is also located very close to the Siam Paragon and MBK shopping centres within walking distance.
The bed side lamp did not work. I informed them via phone and they came to repair it within 15 minutes. Great service In addition, they left a small fruit basket of rambutan in my room the next day. Talk about service recovery. Thank you for the basket. The location is great. Walking distance to BTS station and can take water taxi to Pratumun. Cannot complain for the price you paid.
We have a trip, all 3 of us. The room is spacious with kitchen provided. There is plenty of space for another bed. Coming from Malaysia, we are so used to air conditioning and this room did not fail us. The view is good as we are facing the pool. Location wise it is just almost next to the Ratchathevi BTS. Moving around is never a problem. Grab, taxi, tut-tut, you name it. There are also a variety of hawker stalls nearby and the almost everywhere 7-11!
The location of Evergreen Place is amazing - close to 2 biggest malls of Bangkok , BTS station and river taxi station. Our room was really spacious , big living room , full equipped kitchen , bathroom with bath tub and shower , comfortable king size bed. 2 free bottles of water , tea , coffee every day. The stuff was extremely nice !!! Definitely recommend you to stay here !!!
The opposite room had been under renovation during our stay, however there was no cover of dust, sound-proof or smell. They just used a towel to cover the bottom gap of our room door !?!? So, in daytime, it was so much noisy, bad smell and dust still went into our room. Besides, in last night, the autolock door of our room did not work, no desk phone to ring up the hotel service, we had to go up-down to get support from hotel. The bad thing is locker of the door was failure, the hotel engineer came to open the door by their physical key and then everytime we went out we had to call reception for physical unlocking by the engineers. The hotel refused to give us the key for our convenience ?!?!
