We have been staying at DS67 for years. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location is great, right next to the Phra Khanong BTS, and the staff are so very kind, and friendly. They have been so sweet to our daughter over the years. Their warmth is always appreciated. Great restaurants and coffee shops nearby along with a great Thai market a 10 minute walk down Sukhumvit toward On Nut.
Quiet rooms at rear away from busy sukumvit road. Close to phra kanong skytrain, w district art and eating area (which is a great place to slip out of the hectic bangkok pace) and the many dental practices around here. Solid wifi and a simple but good breakfast is included. Good value.
In the Sukhumvit area, DS67 is a small, comfortable boutique hotel convenient to a couple of large malls, a local wet/dry market, emerging art scene and nite spot, good massage places and the hospital. Good for a short stay if on a budget away from the tourist crowd. Also convenient to BTS and lots of bus lines. Bring ear plugs if sensitive to noise. Staff is extremely friendly and stay comes with breakfast.
We would recommend this place - it's a good price and very comfortable (worthy paying the 2p extra on Agoda for a room with a window since the lights weren't very bright at all!). The beds are comfy and there is a fridge and hairdryer. The rooms are well-soundproofed. The towels were a little worn. The staff were friendly enough. The room is in a great location - very close to the sky train. The breakfast was extremely limited though - there was toast (the horrible sweet type), eggs, cornflakes, apples, bananas and tea/coffee/Milo hot chocolate. A good place to stay for a few nights!
Initally, I was only going to give this place 2 stars but I decided to change to 3.5 stars. I've been to BKK somewhere around 10 times now, always staying somewhere different, but this might be the first places I'd actually come back to. I look for 3 main things when booking a room - air con, wifi, and location, while always keeping price in mind so my review is based on that. Aside from the lighting, both the natural and the man made lighting, I enjoyed everything about this place. 1) Location: It is not a place to go if you want to be right in the center of everything, but it a place to go if you want to be rather close, but not too close that you get to be somewhere a bit more relaxed, yet not too far from the nightlife of Sukhumvit. It is closer to an area where foreigners and Thai people meet - go one where and see more white people or go the other way and meet more Thai people. The BTS station is literally a 2 -3 minute walk. Also, if you want a western breakfast, their is food at the front and if you want a Thai breakfast, go down a few blocks and find whatever you want (2) wifi: the wifi was very good, maybe the best wifi I've been around for an inexpensive place to stay. This in fact might be the main reason I'd return. (3) Air con: This is mediocre. I wish it got cooler faster but it did do its job in the end. After a hot day, it would take about 1 hour to get down to a temperature I was alright with. My biggest problem with this place, and others have mentioned this, is the lighting. In the smaller rooms a person gets hardly any natural lighting of the sun and at night neither the small rooms or the large rooms get very much man made lighting. The light bulbs that are in this place put off almost no light. The room had a depressing feeling at night. I was very unhappy with this. The staff though helped make up for it. They were very friendly and helpful. When I had a problem with my smaller room cause the shower was very small, they offered to move me to a bigger room, which had a bigger shower and allowed in a lot more natural light. If I were to get the big room again, I will return to this hotel in the next month when I'm back in bkk, but for the small room, I will not. This change is what gave the hotel 1.5 stars more. Also, I loved that this is a non-smoking hotel.
The hotel near by BTS easy to tranfer to another place in bangkok. a conveniun store and department store are near by the hotel. But the traffic are jam in businesses day. When take a bath in bathroom can see through with a glass if not come with family may be not convenient
If u want to stay just for 1-2 days it's okay because after that you will feel bored with breakfast. Overall room it's good, clean, but with a little bit hard bedroom for me. Good location, only,200m from bts phra khanong. Just next to family Mart, and solve like a first aid to satisfy hunger
It has already been our second stays but we will return back of course. A small cozy place with very helpful staffs.. Great for the value of money charged for the room, and the location is ideal to get around. Whenever we have any questions or requests for something they have been very prompt in their responses to sort out things for us.
Close to bts but the rooms are very small and the walls are dirty. Check in staff was nice and spoke English. I cannot comment on breakfast as I left before it started. I would not stay here again as there are better options.
Good value place just a few bts stops away from the action. I can only say good things about this place. We arrived very early and tired from a flight from India. Someone had checked out early and they got the cleaner to clean the room and let us check in (at 9.45!) We were lucky but they didn't have to do this. The room was very comfortable, with a nice firm bed. The staff were excellent, especially the girl that does breakfast/runs the cafe, very friendly. Breakfast is basic but still a bonus at this price.I will stay here again.
