We stayed here during a conference. The amenities were great especially the newly upgraded toilets and rain shower, nice big room, VERY comfortable bed & the excellent location to BTS, restaurants and local attractions. However clearly not all rooms are of the same standard as a friend complained about the condition of her room, perhaps not all have been upgraded yet. My one complaint is the quality and taste of food from the restaurant. Being in Hilton we expected very good standard and some delicious meals. Room service was a huge disappointment on our first day. Quality of food during the 3 days was inconsistent, for e.g. on day 1 we had lovely local mangoes but by the time my friend arrived there was none left and it wasn't refilled. The absence of a local fruit synonymous with Thailand was disappointing (none available for the following days even though widely available elsewhere). There also wasn't sufficient vegetarian options for breakfast & lunch. So I had to eat mainly salads (not many options here too). Instead of serving local cuisines the restaurant served mainly Italian meals which is not what tourists expect. There wasn't any vegetarian curry available during lunch, not once in 3 days! I felt sorry for the Indian delegates who are strict vegetarians; those who are, specified this in their meal preference. This is the sort of details a good hotel will pay attention to. Pretty average tasting food with the exception of good pastries & desserts. There must be a good pastry chef in-house. I would have given 5 stars but the restaurant was a let down.
What can I say other than it was fabulous! Well located, clean, peaceful, attentive staff, comfy beds, small but highly functional gym, great pool, unbelievable breakfast buffet (we were floored by it!). Recommended 100%
We are in Bangkok for a layover, and wanted some of our favorite Thai dishes—coconut sticky rice with mango, papaya salad...Nueng Aum at the Conceirge desk got us the mango delivered and directed us to a mall food court with everything (and more!) that we could have wished for. Would definitely stay here again!
I have stayed at the Double Tree many times and I have always found it to be a great hotel clean, good value, great staff and just all-around Great Value and very Good Experience. No one should worry about staying at the Bangkok DoubleTree.
Been staying at DoubleTree on & off since December, Jan to March and now back again in April. Great place and all staff are mega friendly. Take breakfast for instance - Chiw, Ton, Thunder, Jeaw and many more makes you feel so welcome - it really is a pleasure coming here. Big 4 stars from me!! Keep up the good work
The hotel may not be as grand as others but it is comfortable and convenient for everything. If you go to the skytrain through the Hilton next door, it's an easy walk. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We felt very well looked after. A most enjoyable stay
We stayed here during our Spring Break Vacation form March 31st - April 5th. The location was in a very good spot that was convenient to the mall, train station, street food, and many restaurants. When we checked in, we were greeted with smiles and hot fresh cookies. The hotel offered many amenities that made our stay quite comfortable. The concierge was always smiling and willing to assist with whatever we needed. Dee Lite Restaurant offered very tasty food - the breakfast buffet was huge and scrumptious with a wide variety to choose from and the club sandwich for lunch was delicious. Overall, I can say that we enjoyed our stay and if we had to do it again, we will. Keep up the great customer service!!!
I stayed here with friends in March 2018. The location is very close to the metro and across the street from a very swanky mall. The service was superb from check in to check out. The breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. There is a daily happy hour with buy one get one free drinks. My only issue is we stayed in the "king suite" which was advertised as a king bed with "sleeper sofa." However the "sleeper sofa" was not the traditional sleeper sofa (folding out into a bed.) It was just a regular sofa, which was not comfortable for us. We were offered a roll away bed which was rock hard. Other than that snafu, I would highly recommend this hotel.
I guess we have so many choice near BTS station in Sukhumvit, but I like this because is 5 to 7 min walk to Phrom Phong Station, property just link with Hilton Sukhumvit by the ground floor terrace. The check-in experience is welcomed with hot and fresh cookies and the staff was very attentive. Room was very functional and quiet , beds were very comfortable. Only few things I need to remind that the shower will make you to get wet easily because of the knob controls. There also have quite few Japanese restaurant down the street.
That was actually a last minute booking because we booked in another hotel in Bangkok an it was literally a disaster so we looked up for another place to stay and thank GOD it was Double tree by Hilton. The rooms are clean, staff members are cheerful and helpful at all positions, I loved the antique and artistic corners in the hotel that's a special detail! and the breakfast was varied and delicious. the pool is a little bit tight and not deep but I tried it out at night and I had a magnificent sky with a full moon <3 Besides, there are two malls called Emporium and EmQuartier just behind the hotel ;)
