Check in was a breeze and the staff here are all very kind and hospitable! Check in came with four vouchers for free mocktails at the Flow Oasis Pool Lounge, paper slips with the hotel's address to give to your taxi if there's ever an instance of miscommunication, wifi login and password, and a huge map plus a list of things to do/see around the hotel. There are always bellboys and security outside the hotel that help you with the taxi door and check that you did not leave anything in the car - this is one of my favorite things about my experience staying here as it made my guests and I feel extremely safe and taken care of! The hotel also offers 40% Green Leaf Spa which is their in-house spa. They also do luggage storage. The ONLY con I have is that on the last two days, we all took cold showers even though the kitchen tap and bath tub had hot water. Overall, I felt taken care of and pampered at this hotel. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. I'd recommend staying here.
We stayed in Chatrium Sathorn in November for 7 days. It was great for toddler kids (3&5), away from the hustle and bustle from BKK. This is a serviced apartment so the service is not as good as the regular hotel in BKK but sufficient enough. Plus Good variety breakfast Kids pool Kids play area Shuttle that take to to the mall and Asiatique Nearby to some food carts, restaurants and and laundry facilities(cheaper than the hotel) Cons Kids club is missing people, it's basically an air condition room with some toys Not in the prime area - need to take taxi everywhere (but we know this ahead from booking) Tips Try the local restaurant on the main street, inexpensive and good food. Drop laundry off at the building across by the food carts (70B/kilo) cheaper than hotel facilities
We booked with little research as left Phuket quickly due to weather, however, having stayed at the chatrium riverside and from the photos we thought it should be ok. First impression - wow the reception is stunning, more majestic than the riverside, the receptionist wasn’t massively friendly but maybe we’d been spoiled by our previous hotel. Unfortunately, the room really let it down, the whole effect at night was like a crime scene set from a 1970s film noir. All the furniture and decor were extremely dated, there was virtually no lighting in the room, we have our own lizard under the kitchen sink (15th floor), the shower was weak at best and overall it felt like the photos provided by the hotel of the room were extremely photo shopped. Finally, the air con was like a truck backing up for the whole night. I understand we booked through booking.com so maybe the amount we paid condemned us to the lesser quarters but it was a big step down from the majesty of the lobby. The pool is a good size, way too many kids for my liking but that’s my problem and sadly there are road works currently happening too which doesn’t make it so tranquil but again that’s just bad luck. The other staff after the receptionist have all been lovely and the breakfast and fitness centre are of a standard you would expect. Location wise it isn’t ideal if you want the bustle but it’s fine and just 200 baht in a tuk tuk or I believe the hotel has a free shuttle. To summarise for me it’s 3.5 stars, most things were great but when first impressions mean so much the room was a big no no. Would I stay again? Here - no, at the riverside absolutely.
I am so happy I booked this hotel for our stay in Bangkok. We spent 4 amazing nights here and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfortable! If you use their spa you will leave feeling very refreshed. The food was excellent. There were many great options to choose from at the breakfast buffet. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and there are many shops around the hotel to get food at. I was very sad to leave this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Bangkok.
Actually I am writing this review very late. I was in Thailand for a project from March 2015 until august 2015 on and off. I stayed in this property and my experience was very good. In July this year we had an IT conference. Thailand is known for smile, hospitality and off curse food. This hotel has this all. My company books this hotel with the studio apartment but most of the time it was upgraded to 1bed room. Huge room with kitchen, living room, balcony. Now what should I expect more and that too within my budget. The breakfast is amazing, you have variety of selection from European food to SOuth east asia and most of the time Indian as well. I liked salad, fruits the most. Surrounding is nice and calm, it's more residential. So if you are looking for such hotel then this is my recommendation. In front of hotel towards right there are bars, massage centres and international restaurant, Japanese, Indian, Korean and European. I am planning for my family vacation and o come back here soon. Good luck.
We stayed here for four nights in November. The hotel was lovely, really nice apartments. The staff were very helpful and helped us find a lost case from the airport. We were so busy in the centre we didn't get chance to use the pool but we had a drink in the pool side bar and it looked lovely. Would happily stay again.
The rooms are a bit old and should be renovated soon but the pool area feels very relaxing in the middle of Bangkok, family friendly. Would recommend this hotel to friends. The breakfast ist good and staff is friendly although some can't speak english. Anyway this hotel is a good choice if you want a quiet stay in Bangkok, and not too far away from downtown...
This was our first hotel of our holiday, we had a 2 bedroom suit it was so big for the 3 of us, so clean and the staff were lovely, the food was amazing, i would recommend this hotel for anyone who is going to Bangkok
Fantastic hotel, loved the pool, nice little gym. The room was. more like am apartmen with a separate kitchen and living room, the food was top quality. Staff were very friendly, could fault in any way.
The staff is good but a lot does not understand English the guard that call the taxi understand more English that the people working inside the hotel specially in from desk. The breakfast was no good a lot of items but nothing was good. But the thing is not good is the wifi is very bad very very slow and constantly disconnect. We talk in reception about this problem they send some to my room but still the same thing. I give 3 star becouse the rooms are nice but the hotel is very far from anything you always have to take taxi and in pick hours is very difficult to get to the hotel
