we were a group of 8 ladies on a shopping trip to bangkok.we booked the joining room with 4 king bed for us.rooms were spacious enough, with little kitchenette area, fridge, microwave, can actually do light cooking if needed.lift was an issue but we were ok with it,just a short wait everytime.breakfast has no halal option, but there were some vegetarian option offered.rooms were clean upon check in,we were greeted warmly by the door man,and the porter was friendly too. now comes the big issue, the front desk staff.we were served by the same guy for check in and check out.needless to say,he is not cut out to be on the front line of your esteemed hotel.there was no greeting,no smile, minimal eye contact,i was made to feel like a student being punished by a discipline teacher.we were all grinning ear to ear when we arrived, only to be reduced to a weird silence as we entered the lift.this is not my first time in thailand,so this kind of behaviour is really apalling.land of smiles?even the immigration officer is friendly to us! upon check out,i was stopped at the reception by him as the housekeeper couldn't locate a glass in our room.the tone he used (not fluent in english,so i couldn't understand, made him more annoyed apparently!)was more of accusing rather than asking.i was actually offended.steal a glass?really?the glass was eventually found after i was made to stand there like a statue for a good 2 minutes that felt like an eternity to me.no apologies we offerred. that experience has tarnished the image of your wonderful hotel.i hope this issue is looked into.other than that, the location of the hotel is perfect for shopping.massage parlors are just in front of the hotel, and malls are just a short walk away or thb100 ride on a tuk tuk.some of the spa can even provide massage in your room, just enquire.will return to this area for shopping next time, but maybe a different hotel.
This is our 3rd city this month alone. We traveled to Danang, Busan and Bangkok. Before i could finished all reviews, we had to go to our next city. We had not stayed in service apartment but this one is a must stay. Because it is an old and needs some rennovations hotel, we dropped one star. Service is great overall. Positive points 1. Location is ideal. Central to shopping; pratunam day and night market next street. Platinum mall ijust across the street, 5 minute walk. 10 minute walk to Berkerly Hotel shopping mall area. There is a night market outside mall here too. 10 to 15 minutes walk to central world mall. 2. Big, Clean and Green hotel with interesting amenities Big room with 2 double bed, studio apartment size with closets, bathroom and kitchen and amenities plus a balcony looking at city. Amenties include kitchen cutleries, microwave, fridge, etc One cup noodle (first day), 1 can pepsi (first day) 1 pack snack-peanuts (first day), complimemtary bottled water (2 daily). Complimentary pea tea, chrysanthemum tea at lobby. 3. Fast check in. Pay a 2k baht deposite upfront. You can use credit card too. Doorman can help you get cab to chachuchak weekend market about $99,000 baht if not heavy traffic. The traffic condition we experienced was medium. 4. Bathtub shower with lemon tea showel gel, shampoo and conditioner. 5. Quiet hotel. Maybe cos higher floor no tour groups. 6. Excellent front desk staff. Efficient, friendly and get the job done! 7. Room service available and reasonable priced sin$10 and above. 8. Small dining table for 2 pax we can have breakfast or supper in the toom Buy from the stalls outside etc, warm it up and viola! 9. Good value for money for family, couple or friends stay Suggestions to improve. 1. Toilet has mouldy parts. Need to eradicate. 2. TV channels...show old English movies or dramas. Very few foreign channels. We wanted more news channel. 3. The lifts are slow but the new one was fast. Even old hotel, we will recommend to folks who want big room like 2 to 4 friends sharing or family. Even though it is like a service apartment but it still run like a hotel. That is, staff available throughout your stay. If you are not fuzzy about that mouldy wall. It has been clean mould needs more work.
The hotel location is fantastic. Size of room is spacious and clean. We took a 2 Queen beds room for 2 pax. It even has a walk out balcony and morning scenery was beautiful. The sheer size has a luxurious feel. Bathroom is granite and marble and very clean. Has a bathtub. water pressure is good. Reception staff not friendly and not very knowledgeable of surrounding area or attractions. Poor command of English. One lift was down and only 1 in use. We booked an all day transport with driver due to rain forecast at the tour desk and found out afterward that the price we paid was double what a Grab would cost. We booked our hotel to airport transfer with a Grab driver. Will stay at this hotel again. We found this clean hawker stall just outside the side hotel entrance that serve wantan noodle with minced pork and pork ball which was very yummy. Just nice for simple breakfast. Dining area was airy with high ceiling and clean. Enjoyed the grilled pork on skewers at nearby hawker stalls. 10 bahts per skewer what a yummy treat! Oh, do indulge in a Thai massage treat nearby hotel. My group had a feet and shoulder massage for 60 mins for 200 bahts each. Perfect treat after too much walking and shopping.
The room and all the facilities are quiet nice altho abit old but thats fine. The location is awesome of you love shopping otherwise that area is full of traffic jam. The complimentary drinks is awesome ! The problem is with the receptionist staff especially the bald one dunno his name. When check in and check out they dont tell us if its already done so i kinda clueless and keep wait there until they said "oh its done" its not hurt if they just said okay its done enjoy your stay or smth right then later after check in, we met our friend at bangkok and she already stay at another hotel so when we invited her in our room just for catch up abit then the staff just blalantly call our room said that they checked cctv and saw 3 person get into the room and wont allowed it if my friend stay the night with us and gonna charged us 800 per night if she stayed pass midnight. That time its still 4 pm not even night time yet. I understand if they want to charge us i dont mind paying more i told them ill let them know if my friend gonna stay the night. Honestly from the way they talk and how they said about checking cctv that make us feels like we are commiting a big crime i mean they can say their staff saw us or smth but no they tell us how they checked the CCTV, it makes me feel so uncomfortable. Later the night my friend decided she want to stay and when she talk to the receptionist staff she tells me how the staff there trying to not laugh at her or smth. That was really rude to laugh while you're working as FO, very unproffesional and the worst is i stayed there for 3 nights and that was the first night there dang ! Then the way the staff talk english is bad and rushed like he talk while being angry. The staff keep mentioning abt extra bed that cost 1000+ bath while im talking about extra guest that cost 800 bath and they even tried to argue eventho i talk with a calm manner. I think they though im gonna do a big fuse about not paying so they talk that way to us. Later when we already at our room some staff actually go inside our room not knocking and just put the extra amenities at the table because i asked all my friend they dont receive it or even open the door for the staff, just like that it magically appear at the table we dont even noticed when or how the staff came in ! After this we stayed there 3 nights not much happen but still its uncomfortable whenever i met the staff there eventho some are nice like the one near the lift that helpful and do greetings, the security and stuff outside is kind and helpful too. Still just from the receptionist staff (es the bald one)i just cant give more stars to this hotel. Excuse my long rant but ive been at lots of hotels but never been treated this way before even the cheap one ! Eventhough they have a nice room but im so not gonna stay here anymore the next time i comeback to bkk, not gonna recommend my fellow indonesian people there too.
The only advantage is its location. Near to platinum mall and Pratunam market. Cons 1. Slow lifts. Only 2 lifts available serving 30 floors! Wasted lots of time waiting. 2. Unapproachable unfriendly grim amd lazy staff. 3. Room reek of old smell, furniture is dated. Aircon noisy. 4. Bed and pillow has smell and not comfortable at all. No restful rest. Stayed in Glow 2 years back and I would say Glow is a much better choice.
First time stay in this hotel, we booked deluxe for three they gave us 2 big beds which is good but without any information. They had clean big room with great location but the lift facility very bad. Lift only 2 and they had 30 floors. When we check out we wait almost 30 minutes in front of the lift due to lift was full and another one was error. Calling to front office the respons very slow. When we told to front office staff (man) the respons a bit rude and another women staff not to impress emphatic about situation on 08 september 2019 at 11AM. Finally the staff bring our luggages by stairs. Such a bad experience and we almost late went to airport. Kindly check your staff and facilities.
I booked the room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious and had a microwave. The design is a bit outdated but ot was comfortable and clean. Walking distance to platinum mall and pratunam market. They have free hot and cold drinks in the lobby which was really refreshing after being outside under the hot sun. Only problem was one of the lifts was under renovation so there are only 2 lifts left which during peak hours would take awhile to get a lift.
Great stay in the centre of Bangkok with all the shopping malls within walking distance from the door. If you use the side door you not only pass a complimentary drink station but arrive out onto the main road leading to the shops. There are self serve laundry facilities available on P3 for a cost of 90 baht each for washing and drying. The rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds. I will return here on my next visit as it is in a great location.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 night, it was an awesome stay. Room is big with great views. Housekeeping is up to standard. Breakfast with many varieties. The side entrance of the hotel leads to the main road, very convenient to move around. 5 mins to the platinum mall. The only issue I have with the hotel is the lifts are way to slow, because it’s a high-rise Hotel. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel.
