The furnishing and finish is exquisite. The surgical head lamps near the kitchen and classic England sink and toilet bowl are just some examples how the hotel endeavours to capture the past. The service from the hotel staff is the best out there. Limited number of rooms so you feel like you are the only guest here. Interesting breakfast layout where you can dine amongst the hotel lobby areas. Will definitely have fond memory of 45 sukhumvit road.

Well situated in quiet lane, yet central to good shopping and name restaurants. Overall a delightful hotel with good amenities, friendly staff. Rooms and bedding comfortable, bathroom could do with an update.

Cabochon Hotel is a hidden gem! A hotel with great service and unique atmosphere!. We spent 4 nights with our 3 young boys and everything was delightful, from check-in to assistance in dealing with activities, to great food. We enjoyed a 2 interconnecting bedroom which was ideal for the family. Swimming pool on the roof is the cherry on the cake and works really well with kids! Thanks again to the whole staff for making our stay in Bangkok a fantastic experience!

it is no doubt my most favorite hotel in the globe. there are anything in here which I expect for shelter escape from daily hard work, nice and beautiful building by style of old era, the high quality amenity , exotic smell from Lemongrass aromatic oil, charm of china ware , beautiful view of orchid flower ,and many many, but the best point for me, a smile , grace , warm coming from all of hotel staffs, it is friendly keeping polite manner . Cabochon it is my home in Bangkok , staffs also my family in Thailand.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms in a charming one of a kind building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice rooftop pool where you can swim some laps, or just relax in a lounger. The location was very good, within easy walking distance of a skytrain station. There are also plenty of nice restaurants in the neighborhood if you want to go grab a bite. The in-house restaurant Thai Lao Yeh also offers tasty local food. I especially liked the atmosphere in the hotel, for instance with the relaxing music at breakfast. All the little details, such as the taxidermied animals and the old collections of magazines and objects, really made you feel as if you were not in the middle of hectic Bangkok. It's a true oasis in the middle of the Sukhumvit neighborhood. Definitely to be recommended!

I loved this hotel it was sort of tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and enter into colonial style baby raffles almost , as an antique dealer myself the decor was fantastic the owner had an amazing eye for antiques and classic cars the rooms where big spacious the staff extremely friendly and polite kind of like a small family . the hotel just had bags of character and charm hope to stay there again soon !

Bangkok is filled with excellent five star international hotels. Here's something completely different. Small, boutique tucked away in a small Soi off Sukhumvit. The service levels are warm friendly with a touch of classic Thai friendliness. The hotel is only 5 years old but has been created for yesteryear. Food is lovely and the atmosphere unique.

Extremely jet-lagged my husband and I stepped out of our 20 hour flight from Los Angeles, and were met at the airport by the hotel's private driver. A 25 minute drive later, we were quickly checked into the lovely Cabochon. Immediately I felt better, surrounded by the cool marble, fragrant lush trees, and fascinating lobby decor of this renovated colonial mansion tucked down a small alley. We arrived rather early for check in, but they set us up with towels, exotic passion fruit cocktails and lounge chairs beside the roof-top pool and after a dip-- was immediately refreshed. Our room was simple, quiet, clean and romantic with high ceilings, and a columned balcony. Other than a few modern amenities (like powerful air conditioner, fast wifi, in room safe, and a TV we didn't use) it was like stepping into the past. The breakfast was delicious and we even had lunch there in between excursions. The proximity to the SkyTrain subway was very convenient and the fastest way to get around town, but the hotel is happy to call a taxi for you-- and give directions. As with everywhere in Thailand, the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and polite. You will be happy to tip for service. There are many extrodinary restaurants near by including "Bo.Lam" and "Soul Food." We throughly enjoyed our visit to Bangkok and it started with the Cabochon. Tip for all of South East Asia: Most people in the service industry speak english fairly well, but get a "Directions Card" from the hotel front desk and put it in your pocket for later-- it will have the hotel name/address written in Thai (not useless english) and is very valuable to get a taxi ride home at the end of your night out.

What a great hotel! Tucked away at the end of the long stretch of busy Sukhumvit is this gem of a hotel. Small and charming. Friendly, attentive and personable staff. Has a great lounge for cocktails and a rooftop pool. Just 13 rooms!

10 years ago I have stayed in the hotel run by the same owner as Cabochon's and it was an unforgettable experience, that's why after 10 years, I decided to spend a night here at Cabochon and hoped it was as great as the previous one, and it didn't disappoint. To me, people in the hotel are important, cause they are the ones who make you feel welcome and home, and staff at Cabochon is definitely warm and lovely, always having smiles on their cute faces. The hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, you really have to appreciate the owner's taste, I feel like a princess when staying in the room with all the antiques and retro vibe. The restaurant "Thai Lao Yeh" in the hotel serves good Thai food, too. My local friend who dined with us said it is authentic and delicious. With all the above mentioned, what's not to love about Cabochon? I hope next time I don't have to wait 10 years to go back, see you really soon, Cabochon.
