Stayed here for 5 days on a side trip from the Philippines. Property was very nice and affordable. Very nice staff, and very comfortable room, even though with all the tours we took, we didn't really spend a lot of time here. Pretty central to all the spots we visited and there were good restaurants nearby as well as 7-11's and a shopping center. Just down the block from the Shangri-La. If your on a budget this is a good option. Bangkok has many hotels to choose from. Also they were renovating the lobby area at the time of our stay.
Great price for the hotel, since and clean, staff is helpful, and breakfast is wonderful. he location can't be beat..who said that this is 1/3 price of Shangra La, is not right..I would say about 5 times more. The hotel is in the best location, easy to get to the BTS, River, street food, and just about anything you could want. We come every year and see no reason to try any other place.
This tidy hotel is literally a few minutes walk from the Shangri-La yet about 1/3 the price. The bed was comfortable, the room large - I shared with a colleague easily. Serviced daily it was always clean and tidy. he staff were helpful. Breakfast was simple but certainly fine to start a day.
Location is great if and only if you need to be in this area - that does make it an okay choice. Great restaurants around and very accessible from high end to wonderfully local. Public transport close. Had the opportunity and upgraded but into a room looking directly into another room and no natural light to speak of. Internet needs sign in every time you connect and is erratic. They do warn one but are still undergoing renovations - they could certainly do some renovations in their rooms and bathrooms !
We stayed here 2.5 years ago and thought it was an excellent value for the money at $40/night, so we didn't even look around when we knew we'd be in Bangkok for 2 nights - we just booked without thinking. The hotel seems a little rundown, although they're in the middle of renovations, so maybe they're fixing these things. All in all it's a good price and location for $40/night. AC works well and the WiFi is decent and it's quiet. Breakfast is kinda meh but sufficient. Also the staff is really nice. We saw people demanding things from the employees and yelling at them, acting insanely entitled, and it was totally uncalled for.
The bossotel was a neat and unexpected find. I'm definately a five star traveller and don't usually look for anything less than 4.5 star. This place would prob rate around a 3 star. Here's what you'll find at this place - it's a budget hotel, so don't get upset if you're a travel princess. The front desk service is very friendly and helpful, if you're not sure about the room ask to see photos, I stayed in a superior room on the 4th floor with a view of the temple/school across the road. The whole hotel in general is old and run down, however it's exceptionally clean and you'll find your room has fabulous clean/crisp linens, soft pillows, comfy chair and good tv. My bedroom was quite large and a super king bed in it. The bathroom, again is old, but very clean, tiled and in usual bangkok style as the open walkin wet shower type. I also had a seperate bath in my room as well. There's a wardrobe and safe as well Wifi is good, only had a little trouble the next morning logging on as I think they change the password either daily or every 2nd day. My room was $90 USD and included breakfast the next morning. My bed was so soft, very comfy, compared to some very hard beds in higher rated hotels, this bed was by far the best. Breakfast was ummmm pretty average really, wasn't too fussed as i was flying home this day but enough to fill the gap with the standard cooked breakfast, fruit, tea/coffee etc. There's a pretty basic pool as well, enough to cool down in but two or more peeps it's going to feel crowded. Right next door is a well set up spa for foot massages and usual spa treatments etc. About 100 metres down the road is the Shangrei La hotel if you want somewhere fancy to hangout for drinks, or business meetings. Overall, if you're looking to stay somewhere on a budget that's clean and has great service, then this is it. Just a little note for travellers though, there are some major renovations going on next door so this place is a little noisy from 9.30 am - 5 pm between now and end of October. Usually street noises can be heard through to about 10 pm so don't expect to have a quiet evening here either, it does quiet down and I had a great sleep. If you're a light sleeper wear ear plugs though. I'd certainly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay here and if needed to i'd certainly stay here again myself.
I have stayed in Bangkok many times and don't think you can better the general location of Bossotel Inn. Situated within 100 meters of the Saphin Taksin sky rail station and the Central Pier express boat stop, the city and most sights and sites of interest are easily accessed without having to venture onto the busy and hectic roads. At this price point, it is not a luxury hotel but the rooms are comfortable, well appointed, very clean and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities very good for a hotel of this size.
The only plus for us was the location. Beds good, (Bath)Rooms not too tidy. The worst part was breakfast; no athmosphere at all and noisy. Wouldn't recommend breakfast here; for one night sleep it Would be good enough.
The hotel is quiet and peaceful. Rooms tight and clean, almost no view from the window. Breakfasts are average. Plus four a kinky little pool. I chose this hotel only for the fact that in the area I had business to deal with. As a tourist I would choose more interesting locations.
suggest to keep looking for another place to stay. For a little extra you'll get much better .The staff were rude the aircon old & loud & the room smelt like semen. rat den,not safe, fake hospitality!!
