Great hotel in central Bangkok. It's a 2 minute walk to the Thong Lo BTS station. Very modern design, excellent service. Room was very spacious (King) with comfortable bed, really nice shower and solid water pressure. Pool area is nice - go in the morning, as the sun moves away from the pool as it sets. Food options were very good - Asian (congee, dim sum, soup/noodle station), Western (eggs/omelets) and the a la carte menu was a nice mix of things. The rooftop bar/lounge gives a spectacular panoramic view of central Bangkok. It's insanely busy and tourists from other hotels make a special trip to this rooftop to check things out. Either make a reservation for a table or expect to wait a while for a drink. Overall, this was a great value and all the expectations of staying with Marriott
Located in a very good position, 5 minutes walk from Tong Lo Ski Train station. Very easy to reach BITEC. Large rooms, clean. bathroom with a large bathtub with view on the city. Very rich and good breakfast.
Very clean rooms. The staff is highly qualified and very kind and respectflul. We had a very large and modern room in the 39th floor (executive room) with access to the lounge. We also enjoyed the fantastic roof top bar. The hotel is within short distance to the BTS Station.
Reason i liked the hotel is because its away from the crowded street. The octave rooftop bar is a must go. Its rare to get such a 360 view. The staff are attentive in general, although i presume they had some trainees. Rooms were clean. Have an amazing steak and grill restaurant named District. Food and ambiance is just amazing.
First time staying at the hotel as a Platinum member (matched from SPG). The hotel is lovely with close proximity to BTS Thong Lor. The hotel itself is new and modern looking. The lovely lady at check in who is a Guest Relations Manager, Ms Natcha was very kind and gave me an upgrade to a lovely suite for my 1 night stay. Really appreciated her kind gesture. Room is big and bright with huge bathroom and bathtub. The lounge on 40th fl in general is good and plenty of drinks and foods during cocktail hours. Rooftop bar Octave is quite popular during my visit as there are many guests and outsiders visited the place in the evening. I will definitely stay there again in the future and this property really impresses me. WIll toggle between Starwood and Marriott properties for my future stay but Marriott, is currently, my new favourite hotel chain now.
Great hotel just on the outskirts of busy Bangkok. We stayed here twice on the club lounge floor and the second time we got a sweet corner suite upgrade thanks to Thanya, front desk supervisor. The executive club lounge is nice with breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening delights (alcohol served). The staff working in the lounge is great, very friendly and courteous.
Central nice and clean hotel not enough for top rate. The rooms were very nice and the bathroom big with lots of light from glass walls. The location was very close to the sky train. Good service exept for the pool bar. The pool bar was poorly equiped and very expensive. The gym had no free weights. I can recommend this hotel if you are visiting Bangkok with your family with teenagers.
Check in staff very friendly and efficient. Treated well as a Platinum Premier member, excellent room upgrade. Room very clean and large. Executive lounge very nice. Breakfast Grab Bag was supplied due to our early departure, very much appreciated.
This property in Bangkok is just amazing. The services from staffs are even more amazing. The awesome service starts the moment you get out of the car. The receptionists are well trained and understand the business of customer service. As an elite gold member I was upgraded to a premier room. Let’s just say that it’s bigger than my leaving room and kitchen combined. The property offers many amenities to satisfy everyone’s needs. It is location in the heart of the city and is within minutes to Sky train station. Great stay! Must stay!
We stayed here for 4 days and my wife and loved our stay. It far exceeded our expectations. The hospitality, cleanliness and amenities, including the pool, fitness center & rooftop were all spectacular. However, what shocked us the most was the quality of food. Typically we don't eat at our hotels bc we like to venture out for local cuisine but we found ourselves having to eat here in a pinch for lunch one day and then also were drawn back to their breakfast every morning bc it was so good. My wife and i dined at Gaggan, Nahm and Issaya while in Bangkok, so I'm not saying it was that level, but i can honestly say their Massaman curry would hold up very favorably to any other Massaman curry I've had and I thought it was better than Issaya's, which is a house specialty. The food at the Marriott is a bit pricier than what you'll find on the street, but factoring in the convenience with the quality, it was certainly worth it for breakfast and the lunch we ate in a pinch. The buffet at breakfast is quite a spread with all different types of cuisine; Thai, American, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, etc and a nice way to start your day. The Marriott is also a little bit away from the heaviest traffic in Bangkok but also very conveniently located. It's a block from the Thang Lo SkyTrain stop. You can find cheaper hotels in Bangkok, certainly, but we certainly felt we got all the amenities and hospitality of a luxury hotel for about $150 USD/night and found it to be well worth it.
