Don't believe the picture showed in Agoda is true. The hotel is very old, located on busy street market area. We booked 2 suits, for 5 nights when we arrived to hotel there was no one to received us and the hotel lobby is on 2nd floor no proper signage or guidance. No welcoming from front desk staff and they seems rude. Below I m sharing fact about this hotel; 1. Bad smell all around the hotel ( lobby area , corridor, elevator , stair case etc..) 2. The room was dirty. The toilet was dirty and has a worm. the towel, bed sheets etc were very horrible. Some trash in the toilet look likes never cleaned. Closet was broken. 3. No hot water in the toilet, toilet floor are full of dirty moulds, now shower area but old bathtub, very dull light, no shower amenity provided. 4. Blanket smell like urine, old torn bed line was used even towels seems very old with back dotes on it. 5. Some lights in the room are not working, Room safe are out of order. 6. No proper equipment in the gym. 7. Pool is very shallow and water smells too much chlorine. 8. Breakfast was very poor, most of the plate are empty refilling was very slow etc… We have checkout next day due to poor service and facility provided by the hotel.
I flown over to Bangkok with my family to attend a wedding. Baiyoke Suite was recommended by my sister after she done recce of the location. Indeed the location never dissapoint but but awkward which I will say. There is no driveway, the lobby is on the 7th(or 8th) floor, the entrance is a total nightmare for taxi drivers. Very cramped, in the middle of streets of makeshift street market, entrance to lift lobby just before the barrier to carpark entrance. If you like street markets you will like it there. Thumbs up side is 24 hours convenient stores are plenty including a pharmacy. Money changers are available and if you Popular malls like Platinum, Central World & Big C are within 10 to 15 min walking distance. To enjoy local street food in a hygienic manner there are food centres on the top floor of Platinum & Big C. Local produces like freeze dried durian are available in the supermarkets without having to visit tourist traps. The Ratchprarop subway station is within 10 min walk. Which can lead you to the Suvarnabhumi airport with a very affordable 40 THB ride. Escaping from the jam. If you need to pay your rides via credit card you can download Grab, one of the leading ride hailing apps in SE Asia. The rooms are spacious, though it bring us back to the 80s. With a box TV in the living room. There is a damp smell in the room, the bathroom have lots of corners patched with Silicon. The aircon compressors are noisy and it is covered with dust. With such an old place there is an inevitable feel of being haunted. Though it is our minds running wild. Especially when the Thais are very good at making horror movies. Baiyoke Suites is the kind of no frills place for business trips, where you need a good location with affordable budget. To sleep in fly out. For a holiday experience, I will advise cater more budget & find a place with better amenities.
amazing location with pocket friendly tarifs , if you leave apart the breakfast [as i m vegetarian] rest every thing is very good about this hotel , located right in the hub of shopping , indira square , platinum mall just a stone throw awat.
Our bangkok trip was customized in such a way that we had to juz spend the night in the room and the rest of the day was for the safari world and shopping.we had stayed there for 1.5 days so we felt that as per our needs the hotel was not bad.The restaurant in the 43rd floor had a beautiful ambience and the food was also good.
This is a great budget hotel with amazing proximity to the night market. Right in the middle of the market place closest to pantip plaza and other malls. Very near to the metro station as well. They should however increase the breakfast options for vegetarians
I don't know how some people rated 5 stars for this hotel. The room is dirty... AC wasn't good in our first room. We had to move to another after one-day stay. The hair dryer was broken down. Horrible
My Wife and I stayed 4 nights at the hotel . We had read mixed reviews earlier about the hotel room conditions but nevertheless, based on assurances by our travel agent went ahead with our booking. We were pleasantly surprised indeed. The staff staff at the reception counter were cordial and friendly. We found the suite rooms which consist of a living room and bedroom to be satisfactory. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and clean. The aircons were in good working order. Bathroom was clean and everything in good working order. The hotel location, I must say is excellent as it is situated in a busy shopping district with shops on the lower floors and outside the building. Platinum Fashion Mall is merely an eight minutes walk, through a shopping arcade alley. The only drawback is that the nearest sky train station, Ratchathewi is a good 20 minutes walk. I will book Baiyoke Suite Hotel again on my next trip.
Thai people are known for their hospitality world over. However, if you wish to spoil you travel, deal with the most rude staff in the world, stay in lousy rooms, eat ( if at all you can) to a lousy breakfast then try this. If you are a Indian/ Sri Lankan then my advice is to just BAN this hotel, they treat you terribly. The front office staff are the rudest I have seen in my 20 years of global travel, they make you feel as if they are giving a free room with unlimited food. I feel the tour operators get a good commission and hence dump all Indians there which is a disaster. The breakfast is the lousiest, the cutlery is broken and looks at least 15 years old, the tables are dirty, carpet stinking, the bread as stale as an old beer, terrible staff. When i asked twice to speak to the General Manager the reply was he can't meet anyone ( what does the GM do if he can't meet his guests). This reply is a sure shot recipe for an long overdue closure of this hotel. Your check out is bound to be quite harassed and delayed. The hotel asked 500 TB for a drop to the airport, I paid, the old man gave 350 TB to the poor taxi driver and pocketed the rest. The taxi driver was cribbing. I know the old man was doing this and tried seeing how much he gave the driver but he tried deviating me. My media instincts made me probe and find the answer. Earning money like this by a hotel staff is the worst behaviour and definitely not a Thai culture. You can stay at the smallest of hotel in Thailand and you will be treated well but not this one.
Stayed here for a business trip. If you have a low budget this is one of the best hotels. Following are the pros: 1) baiyoke market for shopping 2) pratunam night market is right opposite 3) ratchaprarop station is nearby to reach airport (barely 40 thb compared to 500-800 thb for taxi) 4) lot of currency exchange options 5) cargo & courier centers 6) Indian restaurants 7) huge rooms 8) 7/11 Store’s around 9) street food Cons 1) ac makes lot of noise 2) small bathrooms 3) pathetic WiFi, even edge or 2g is better 4) room service staff was rude 5) very less food options 6) TVs are very small & low channel options
Thank god is stayed in one night only in this hotel, very durty rooms and worst service, it is very old building, its look like a big building only in here there is nothing, in 34 floor not working AC and they dont know minimum sense, in my room has tv but in remote no batteries, room has wifi but its not work.
