Room's Bad Thing: The room is old fashion, and toilet look very old, door hard to close and u need to smash it hard. Room's Good Thing: Room is big, you need to walk through living room before you reach you bedroom. Nice city night view. Food: A lot of street food and restaurant just within walking distance from the hotel. Shopping: Girl will like this place, 24 hour shopping street available. Some suggestion for Hotel Management, please spend some money to upgrade your room instead of upgrade your lobby. Customer stay at room, not lobby.
Checked in today and although there isn't a safe room to store our luggages before check-in, thank god everything's intact. The room though looks old, is really big and spacious as compared to the other hotels out there. There is a mini night market just outside the hotel so if you're hungry and lazy you can just head out to get dinner without walking far. Down side is the location is not at any main road so it is inconvenient for cars to drop you off just outside the hotel all the time.
Hotel is centre of traffic jam (maybe We arrived at 4.30 pm) Receiptionis is at level 1 so when you arrive need to up 1 level by lift All staff are very warmly and nice Room is old and arrangement of room may confuse you :d Additional breakfast is thb 250 per person and is taste very standart Breakfast located at 43 flr so you can see around bangkok from there Overall : average
Giving Baiyoke Suite a 5 star for price and accommodation also the free breakfast was amazing with a variety of meats and fruits and a nice Brie overlooking Bangkok ! Will definitely stay their again and not to mention my wife liked the pool ! See you next time Baiyoke !
Front desk people (particularly the smart looking, good English speaking old man) were very helpful. The breakfast buffet at the 43rd floor was good. The room attendants were very helpful with our luggages. Room: Despite the management courtesy and hospitality, I am sad to tell that the room where we stayed had lots of bug - looked like they are baby cockroaches. From the bed to the dining table up to the bathroom - were visibly seen crawling on the bedsheet, the curtains, the floor, the wall, and the most disgusting - crawling on the cups and saucers on the table. The hotel needs proper pest control and cleaning to get away with those creepy insects.
The rooms are big but so old. The taxis will not drive you to the property as it is back off of the street. The elevator works when it wants to and the staff acts like they are doing you a favor by you staying at their property. I have been traveling for 25 years and stay at some awesome and expensive as well as cheap places. This is not worth the trouble. We asked for extra blankets and pillows 3 times and after the 3rd time they questioned if I was having more people come to stay with us. I have never been so offended in my life Only good thing is that it is close to the market. I feel it would be better to find a cheap foot massage place and get an 8 hour foot massage at least it would be friendly. Ps I tried to cancel as I booked through hotels.com and called them and they would not give me back my money and let me find another hotel. Unfortunately I booked for 2 nights :(
We booked this property on last minute. Check IN staff was helpful they allowed us early check In. Property requires complete renovation as Rooms are specious but in very bad condition. It's located heavily crowded small street in rush hours you have to walk long as no vehicle can reach to this property. The coffee Shop is serving Halal Food that's advantage. Wifi is good if you lucky to get connected. Breakfast is also good but staff is not helpful due to language barrier. House keeping is very slow and non cooperative may be that's also due to language barriers. Couldn't find traditional Thai Hospitality in this property. Management is suggested to hire some staff in every section who may understand language and improve Rooms conditions as everything is requiring repair maintenance.
this is a budget hotel but in the heart of Bangkok and in the middle of the shopping and markets outside the doors. the hotel is budget but with this great location you are never in your room. wifi was a bit slow in the room when checking emails.
Recommended for shopping only, located smack in the middle of Pratunam market, and Indra market is also very nearby. Halal food is served at the lobby cafe, so this is a plus point (do note that prices on the room service menu is cheaper than at the cafe itself). Also steps away from several other halal restaurants serving middle eastern food and Indian food too. In the afternoon there is a small stall selling halal (Malaysian) food in the market. Back to the hotel itself - it is really really old and past its prime. Agree with all the points raised by the other reviewers - smelly and leaky bathroom, noisy aircond, broken/chipped tiles, hair dryer wasn't working in one of the rooms we had. Staff was very helpful though, in accommodating our request to change rooms. Breakfast at the 43rd level cafe offered a good view of Bangkok though the menu itself was just ordinary. All in all pretty good if you can overlook the tired looking furniture/facilities in the room.
From the moment I was greeted by the not too friendly staff, it was downhill most of the way after that. The room quality is very poor indeed, tired, poor decoration with peeling paint and dirty marks on the walls. The bathroom is bad with unpredictable water temperature and poor fittings (my sink kept releasing the water all over the floor) There was a balcony which was permanently locked. The breakfast room is ok with a great view and good selection but most of the food was cold unless you were lucky enough to catch it as soon as it came from the kitchen. two pros were, the lobby coffee shop which was professional with nice food and the tours arranged which were good. The following week I stayed at the Adelphi 49 for $5 extra per night which was the best $5 I've invested for a long time.
