Big suite rooms, situated at the area great for shopping and dinning. Close to public transports. I love this place. less maintenance and amenities for up to date. Also safe for night out time. Only regret is closed roof bar during my stay.
The rooms in this hotel are not the cleanest in the world, The rooms are very big though and the view is good. The price is reasonable but there are better options in the neighborhod for just a little more money.
Good service. Helpful reception folk when checking in. Room was a suite and good sized. AC in main bedroom was not working very well. Bathroom is tiny and old looking furnishing & fittings. The sink area was broken and bathtub was chipped. Breakfast was OK and repetitive. View from the dining area was nice as it was on the 43rd floor. Located in the middle of Pratunam street - the shopping area - easy access to hundreds of shops! Almost got charged for a bottle of beer from the mini bar when checking out - although we hadn't had any since both of us were battling a cold.
Situated close to the main shopping area is ideal for the bargain hunter The lobby looks quite nice but the rooms are old and outdated and in need of a facelift. WiFi is terrible but the place has its advantages
It took a long time for them to check me in. There's a long queue simply because there's only 1 staff at the front desk who can speck english. Their room is big, you will get bedroom and living room. The location is great if you are on shopping mood because the hotel is in Pratunam Market.
The hotel is very strange because the lobby is on 5th floor and entrance to hotel is like entrance to the toilet. You can miss it. The room is spacious but everything inside is very old. The furniture, the toilet evrything needs to improve. The windows are closed forever, the aircondicion is noise. the swimming pool is on 11th floor and almost all time it was for us because nobody wanted to swimm.
When we went there they told us we booked for 4 only instead which we booked for 5...And asked us to contact agoda .....Later they checked their mails and then they came to know that it was their fault .....And then everything was ok ....And the non smoking room but still lobby was smelly .....Rooms were old but good enough
The hotel is in the heart of Pratnuman market, great location for shoppers. Apart from the hotel and the stay is terrible. The lobby will fool you up for a 4star category hotel, but the rooms are centuries old, Tiles broken, paint peeling, bath tub rusted, wooden furniture broken. Locker not operational. Terrible accommodation, rude staff, poorest quality of in room service and in room staff. The room keeping boy was scary and very misbehaving. We had a paid wifi room booked, however the wifi stopped working in half a day, On complaining the reception says that we are booked under no free wifi. Whereas they are the same people who gave us the wifi on check in. My room card sticker clearly mentions wifi and breakfast plan. The breakfast was the saddest i had in my trip to Thailand. The hotel offers great city view as the breakfast is on 43rd floor, but the breakfast is super sad. No vegeterian breakfast at all. Overall traumatizing experience
We were visited Bangkok and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room is large and the location is very good for shopping as the hotel close to the local market, Baiyoke traditional market and shopping center such as The Platinum and Grand Diamond Plaza.
We were first greeted with a rather clean looking, elegant lobby and a decent hotel bar at the back. Their staffs were helpful, though not the friendliest, we're cool with that. Then the disappointment came when we first saw the rooms. The walls were gray, brown and peeling, the windows stained with bird's droppings, the closet left ajar and makes a creeking noise, the smell of sewage in room masked with floral scent. It was a letdown. The room was large, consisting of 1 bedroom, 1 living room/kitchen combined and a bathroom. There were very little amenities such as an electric kettle (which cable was too short to reach the plug from the height of the table), a hairdryer (that turns itself off after 30 seconds of use and we had to get housekeeping to send another one), 2 televisions (one in the living room and one in the bedroom), air-conditioning units in the living room (very cold) and the bedroom (warm and noisy). The beds were springy and hard, some of us did get up with aches in our backs. That's alright, massage palours are located less than 5 mins walk away. The pool and gym area seemed a little old, small and empty too. Location was perfect for shopaholics! Right in the heart of the markets, it can get a little rowdy, but that didn't bother us much. Plenty of food hawkers around the area at night and we didn't fear getting back late in search for food. Convenience stores are everywhere too. If you do call for a cab though and you're unable to speak thai (we tried using Grab, bad decisions) it is almost impossible pick you up or search for the right "baiyoke" tower. The area isn't ideal for travellers with wheelchair too. We booked this as a package together with our flight and thought that that was quite good rates we were looking at. We don't know of the exact breakdown of the room rate, but the hotels site has it at about $40 a night. So for the price, though the pretty old place, it was a great location at a really low rate. We wouldn't return here though, we'll do away the convenience of Baiyoke Suite Hotel for the next stretch of hotels down the road.
