Like the other reviews, this hotel is an old one which might have been a good one back 10 years ago. The room is a bit old and need new paint job, but it is clean and comfortable. The location is the best thing! You can walk right up the the BTS train. There is a 7-11 in front of the hotel and a bar across the street. The check in and out might take some time, so be patient.

The hotel is very old. The room is too dark and bad smell. The staff are rude and impolite. we had to wait one hour for check in.The price in the menu are very expensive .There are no service here. Never comeback this hotel. don't recommend . 1* for the location.

I spent 2 nights in bangkok but it seems the worse choice ever. Old style, none hospitality at all, none smiley staff...the towel looks like sand paper, super touch,bad smell around the corridor, easy to get sick....stay away.

The room was very dated, the showers very old. But the room size was great and definitely comfortable. We ate at the restaurant once and would never go back. The taxi service at the hotel is an extreme rip off! The check in and out service is extremely slow. Average location unless you want to train every where. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel is most used by Chinese Tourists on a tourtrip in Thailand, and they stay for 1 night in the hotel. The hotel have a few hundred rooms, and that make that, for the hotelstaf, you are just a number for them. Check in is like a conveyor belt, and the staf are like band workers. I booked 2 rooms, for 4 nights, 2 adults, 3 children. The booking slip comfirmed, breakfast included. When we checked in, 2 problems. Problem 1: They asked to make a deposit from 1000 Baht, per room, per night. That made 8.000 Baht, pls in cash. The idea from you are a valued customer wass directly away. Problem 2: Breakfast is only for 4 person, 2 persons per room. 5th have to pay extra.Even when i showed the 5 persons breakfast comfirmation on the booking slip, nope, only for 4 persons. The hotel itself, it's like a factory, and you are number x. The food in the restaurant, is buffet style. But also factory quality. More than enough, taste is ok, but don't expect high quality. 1 Exception, the Grill restaurant, quality and staf there was very good. The hotel still have an "High speed internet corner" with 5 PC's. That mean, WiFi, on the higher floors, so slow, that you can not use it. For the hotel, when you complaine about the WiFi connection, but you have the internetcorner. Main reason for the kids to say, never again this hotel. And there is a HotTub, just 1 for all the guests. And only in working condition when a team from photographers was there for new promotion pictures. Best point for the hotel, the location. If you only need to sleep, close to the skytrain, and buffet food is okay for you, than the hotel is ok. If you need quality, personal attention, and not between dozens of 1 night tourists, better stay away.

the location is pretty good and not that expensive. it is connected to the BTS and easily accessible to almost anywhere. not else to rave about. customer service was very meh. however, it kinds of have an eerie atmosphere and my view was the other side of the hotel room so it pretty much sucks too.

When I first checked into my room, the room was not thoroughly cleaned after the last guest checked out. My toilet was still soiled, soap pieces and caps from the shower gel used by the guests before me were still lingering. The bathroom was old and had algae growing at the shower head, sink was dirty and had mouldy stains. I had no towels and had to call for them, leading to the worst experience I ever had. When I checked out, the reservations desk told us they would not be returning us our deposit because there were 4 towels missing from our room. We argued that we have not taken any, explaining to them that when we first checked in, we did not have towels to begin with and had to call for them. They called their senior manager down and we had an argument about this at the front lobby. The manager insisted on opening my luggage to check that we have not taken their towels! Seriously, this is so ridiculous! I was on my way to the airport to catch my flight and have packed everything and now the manager wants to open my luggage as if I'm a criminal?? The hotel amenities were so old and dirty why would I risk germs infecting my own belongings by taking their towels? And what right did he have to ask me to open my luggage? This was downright rude and degrading! I told them to keep the deposit, and I will definitely not come back to this hotel ever again. On another note, after telling my friends about my hotel, I was told that Asia Hotel was one of the 'dirtiest' (haunted) hotels in Bangkok. This might explain why the 2 rooms opposite mine were sealed thoroughly with masking tape. When I asked about it, the staff shook their heads refusing to answer me. This experience with the hotel was so disgustingly unpleasant, I do not wish this to happen to anyone. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. My first trip to Thailand - traumatised and scarred, it will take a while for me to ever consider going back.

The hotel itself is not bad and the cost is reasonable for its location. However many things could be improved. Check-in desk is always crowded and slow. Staff don't make much effort. Even the duty manager was more interested in his mobile phone than solving problems. The restaurant is average. The lobby is always crowded with noisy guests and playing children. Nowhere to sit. Taxi mafia outside the hotel demanding unreasonable prices and not wanting to use meters. On the positive side, access to the BTS is very useful. It was ok for once but won't be staying there again.

I stay with family their the Room are Good with good cleanness. they provide drinking water by bottle as well as in washroom also. Mr. martin (Nitin) the Help desk Manager is very helpful for my stay. AFB breakfast was good. But compare to service this hotel is expensive . in same budget we can get more good hotel option their .

The check-in clerks are placed there just to function like a robot, there were no hospitality senses and willing to assist attitude. The hotel itself looks 50+ years old. I don’t mind the hotel being old but I found a chunk of hair on a floor, looked filth. Amenities are standard. I think being 4-star rated hotel is yet “over-rated”. The only thing that kept this hotel running is its connected to BTS Ratchathewi station. Sooner or later Asia hotel will remain only the legacy, improve by starts smiling at your guests.....
