This lovely hotel was elegant, the service was wonderful, and the food was great. The breakfasts were vegetarian with pescatarian menu for other meals. Chatting with the owner was a pleasure. The peaceful surroundings provided an oasis to sit by the pool and spa was a treat.

We stayed here in November 2017 for 3 nights. The entire stay was without fault. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We turned up hours before check in due to our flight times and we were greeted with smiles and told we could use the facilities with no hassle. As soon as our room was ready they came to find us. We ate in the fish and vegetarian restaurant a couple of times and it was fab. The location is great as long as you don't mind a cab ride in the traffic to the main sites or if you are used to public transport, the sky train then the boat into the tourist areas is far cheaper. We got a map from the front desk which helped hugely. We also caught the canal ferry to the golden mount area, great fun and the best bit of advice was to just follow the crowds (15 baht each) one quick change and you are there. There are also bars and restaurants in walkable distance. We would highly recommend this hotel, to know you are returning to a lovely place and cool pool after doing the tourist things in busy Bangkok was a great feeling. Thank you to all at Ariyasomvilla, we had a great time.

This hotel isn't something out of the ordinary. It has lots of charm and romance. It's a hidden gem located at the end of a quiet street that backs up to the canal making it very easy to hop on a long boat for transportation. It's in walking distance to the Skytrain as well. Staying at this hotel was the best part of our trip to Bangkok and the perfect place to comeback to after a busy day of sight seeing. Our room was very spacious with a nice view of the surrounding buildings and of the resort. The restaurant was very good offering both traditional Thai or western dishes. The oatmeal is not to be missed! The best I ever had. It was so relaxing getting a massage outside-you could hear the long boats going by and neighborhood children laughing and playing. Simply wonderful! Loved chatting with the owner too. Perfect stay in Bangkok! Staying here added so much to our trip and if I go back one day this is where I'll return.

.... if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Bangkok. This place is wonderful, a peaceful oasis in the heart of this crazy but fantastic city. The team are cheerful and attentive, the food is fantastic, the rooms are spotless and it is all within a modest walk of the Skytrain, and right next door to the canal network. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and were very sad to leave.

Having stayed at Ariyasomvilla twice in the past this was the obvious choice for our short stopovers in Bangkok this year. We stayed 2 nights in sept in a room facing the garden and 1 night in oct in a lovely suite overlooking the pool. Both rooms were excellent. We love the quality and ambience of the restaurant despite not being vegetarian and it was great to see so many staff the same as 3 years ago. David Lees provides a very personal service and the lovely Boo lights up the restaurant. We will be back!

I can't say enough good things about the Ariyasomvilla. It truly made us love Bangkok. After touring in the bustling city we were able to come home to the serene retreat with its beautiful gardens. The service was excellent and warm. David the proprietor showed he cared. The breakfast was delicious with great choices even for my gluten free issues. The pool and room were lovely. We had the best spa experience getting a massage in their open air studio during a rainstorm. The location was superb being close to the train and to a interesting neighborhood in Bangkok with good street food nearby. They even fixed a reservation glitch with a smile. A great value in a great city. If we ever came back to Bangkok we would only stay at the Ariyasomvilla.

We stayed at the Ariyasomvilla for 3 days in early November 2017. The Hotel Managing Director David Lees introduced himself early in our stay and is always available to make sure your every need is looked after. Great rooms, restaurant, pool area and spa. Would definitely return.

Bangkok was the last stop of a near 4 week trip to nearby Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. I had been here before and enjoyed the crazy mix of awful traffic, melting sun and great people. I had stayed in a large chain hotel before and was looking for more of a traditional setting. The rave reviews on TA convinced me to choose this hotel. I had had the only two bad hotel experiences in my whole trip just prior to arriving here, so I just needed this to be as good as the reviews. I was convinced it was a right choice upon reception upon my first sip of the cold tea. It got even better when I learned I had been upgraded to one of the beautiful suites with the poster beds. The hotel is secluded at the end of a narrow road, and close to one of the main hospitals in town. It's about 15 minutes to the nearest skytrain station, which connects you to mostly anywhere in the city. It is a beautiful historic house carefully maintained with great detail. The rooms are beautiful and really clean. Oh and the bed was so comfortable! I loved the restaurant and ate there a few times. The lady who is the main server during dinners is a ray of light, carefully explaining dishes and making sure you enjoy your order. My favorite Thai dish, tom yum soup, was awesome here. Breakfasts were great and nothing makes my morning like a freshly squeezed organs juice. The only negative of this hotel is that, being by a canal, there is boat noise all days as his is an important mean of transportation in Bangkok. But there is very little traffic at night and much less so during all days during the weekend. I absolutely love this hotel. I really like Bangkok and all its chaos and hope to be back here some day soon.

We have just stayed at this nice, colonial-style hotel in the centre of Bangkok. The hotel setting in a quiet side street is superb, the hotel itself is very nicely decorated and our room was fantastic. Also the service we experienced was exceptional. We arrived very early morning, and the staff did not heasitate a minute to make a room available for us. Also, any questions we had were answered right away and any possible support was offered. And breakfast was very nicely prepared. We also made use of the great location of the hotel next to one of the klongs and tried out the extremely fast river boats to get to Jim Thompson's house - a great experience. We very much enjoyed the stay at Ariyasomvilla and will definitely come back.

Most valuable please in Bangkok the best place to experience Tha Hospitality. Friendly staffs with smiley faces who always willing to help. Love the location. We got upgraded It was one if the most beautiful room we have ever stayed.
