We stayed at Ad Lib for two days and started our Thailand travels from here. After a long flight from Germany we dived into the brutal heat of Bangkok. This is the perfect stay to make yourself comfortable with the country and city. Nice rooms, cozy swimming pool and very tasty food (although you pay a little bit more compared to Thailand standard). Easy to access when you arrive from the airport. We came by Skytrain and headed to the closest station (Phloen Chit), after a little walk we were welcomed by low hanging trees and friendly staff. Tip: check out the direct walking way from the station in advance as the hotel is not visible from far.
This hotel is located near the hospital down an alley that can’t be seen from outside. The decor is amazing and everything was very clean. The staff were all friendly and very helpful! The rooftop bar and pool were so serene.
We stayed just 1 night at this very chic motel, but wished it was longer. The rooms are so lovely and the staff very attentive and professional. The restaurant here is absolute 5 star with a great menu. A great place to stay in for the night and no need to venture out- a lovely pool area is also available- and it is all tucked away behind the hospital in a private cul-de-sac. Excellent
- The hotel is small and with very small rooms and very limited facilities (almost non). - The location is away from all attractions - you may consider it if you have appointments in Bumrungrad hospital but there is another option, "real hotel like" which is Best Western which is closer to the hospital - English communication was a problem, that all our room service orders were wrong, although we were ordering the same for a couple of days!! - I had two major issues, bad attitude of the "porter" who is the "buggy driver" unfortunately during my 2 days stay, that when I was discussing the room in my first day with the receptionist he was interfering and answering instead of her!!!, and on the second we asked him to take us to the hospital because it was raining, I asked him to clean or dry the seat to set, he was so rude and in a careless way, he asked me to take the tissue from front desk and clean it myself, I am wondering is the porter is the owner or the sun of the owner!!!! - The other problem that a receiptionest (lady) was acting in the same way in a rud way and didn't say a single word or comment in his attitude and interferance in first day nor second day - However, I was there because of my appointments in the hospital (that was what forced me to book in this hotel) and due to the lack of Hotel Business Meaning nor Hospitality --> all this lead made me cancel my 4 nights booking on the 2nd day and went to another "hotel"
Staying in this boutique hotel for 3 nights was the best part of our trip to Bangkok! It is super stylish, the staff is soooo nice, the rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable, the environment is awesome, it has the best location ever - close to everything (shopping malls, train station, restaurants, bars, etc) in a safe place. The breakfast is great... To make a long story short- top notch!
The hotel is off the main road but has a convenient free Tuk Tuk service that takes you to the main road where the BTS (tube) station is that gets you to Siam Plaza and all the other main shopping areas in 10 minutes. The tube also gets you to the river and other parts of Bangkok such as Chatutak market very easily. Hotel has a boutique feel about it with beautiful decorations and rooms are spacious and large with a clean toilet and shower. The pool is a nice one on the top of the hotel. Great for a weekend stay if you not looking for the top big name brand hotels and want a more personal touch.
Always have the eggs bennie for breakfast-- a must have. Chef Bank was gracious enough to provide me with a quick cooking lesson he and his staff prepared moments after my breakfast. Like the rest of the staff, Chef Bank crates a welcoming atmosphere with great care in what he does.
The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. It's the only 3.5 or 4 star hotel very close to Bumrungrad hospital and therefore extremely convenient for families and individuals who have medical appointments and procedures at that hospital and at the same time are concerned about quality and cleanness of their accommodation.
We stayed at this hotel for a night before heading back to Malaysia and it was the best choice ever! This little hotel is tucked away in a quiet street but it was not far from the busy main road and BTS. Within 5 mins walk, you'll find some convenient stores and some restaurants. Best thing about the hotel is the design and environment. It was so beautiful and so comfortable we wished we could stay longer. Every corner of the hotel, include the facade is very nicely designed and super instagramable! And every one of the staff are always friendly and polite! We also had brunch at the hotel restaurant, which btw serve awesome choice of breakfast that are all beautifully plated. In short, we had a really good stay at Ad Lib! Would be back again!
It was another pleasant stay just except noisy neighbors from connecting door. Thank you, Kiki and Nice. I will definitely come to stay again. I don't remember names but every one was doing good job especially a restaurant lady who has a great smile made me smile too.
