I had stayed at the A One Hotel with a group this hotel has two blocks one in the main building has a big lobby and and the other building has a small lobby. Lifts at both places are small so it gets crowded when you are with a group. The Wi-Fi in the lobby is just about okay and in the rooms it is does not really exist. We stayed here for a night and the positive is their suite which I got was quite roomy and it was equipped with all the amenities. Beds were very cozy and comfortable and my room had a divider that was banging from the wall and had two Led Tv's on either side viewable one side from the bed and the other from the sofa. Good is good and the staff are friendly and our group was handled well the replenishing of food was quick during the breakfast. The breakfast area which was allotted for our group had two banquet halls capable of seating the entire group. My group had no major complaints only a few rooms had no complimentary water bottles which when brought to the notice of the staff was immediately handed over to the guests. I seen the other twin rooms and I found them decent sized. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers and given a chance will stay here again.
Perfect hotel in the middle of the city, close to the central market,if you are asian then this is the place for you. Near masjid jameq. ..close to masjid jalan, cheap and good food available all round .. ...............
Checked in slow but room is nice. Aircon is good. Wifi is good. Bathroom is clean. Bed is comfortable. Nothing outside hotel so have to take taxi. Breakfast is good. Staff is ok. Not to far from dmk airport but traffic jam near hotel. Overall is good hotel and price is good
I agree that for few resins this hotel does not deserve 4 stars. Furniture are quite old and very basic. No iron in the room. Very bad Internet connection which is a problem as I came first business reasons to Bangkok. And yes bathroom could be cleaner. Looks like nobody pays attention to that. After shower water is in all bathroom. View from the window is not nice at all but I don't care so much. Location is not so great neither. Looks like in the middle of residential area. So I am not planning to stay here again.
The room was nice, the staffs was ok. The only thing that's bothering from the start was they asked for hotel deposit and it's 2000 baht, it's about $650. Wow. Does one of you being asked that amount too?
So they offer a free ride to the MRT which is great as you need to use this to get anywhere. The problem is you can't walk to the MRT as it's too far away and the FREE transfer is only at 10 am, 12 pm and 2pm plus you have to book it 2 hours before. So you are reliant upon taxis which is ok but many a time coming back to the hotel taxis would not take us so we had to find somewhere with wifi and use UBER. It is too far our...there isn't much around so you have to leave the area. Room are nice....dated furniture and bathroom but the beds are comfy and clean. The aircon is soo noisy and I note another person wrote it sounded like being on a plane....yes it does even on the low setting. It's not a unit but typical vent style. The free tea and coffee is stingy....you get a cup each a day.....that's it! The mini bar prices are extortionate as expected but there's a 7/11 around the corner. There's no iron in the room either nor an option for laundry which was a real groan for us. You can watch uk movies on channel 9 but it doesn't say this in their information. We didn't eat here as it was rammed every night with coach loads of Chinese people who were soo rude. In fact there were no other english at the hotel. The pool area is really nice and relaxing. You are given a towel but not given a matress for the lounger or told about them. They do have then in a room by the toilets....we just took them each day. The pool itself is clean but the tiles have certainly seen better days! It's a great spot! The staff are lovely but there is a massive problem with communication. We were looking at the view from the top floor and were questioned where we wanted to go and the were ushering us into the lift. As if we were stupid and didn't know what we were doing. Before you even finish a sentence they have already concluded what you want.....I don't speak thai so it was a problem. I would not stay here again nor recommend it. Even though there are some good qualities it lacks the luxury of 4*. It feels more like a Premier Inn. This hotel is more suited to the Chinese. The cleaners in our room were fab and cleanliness is not an issue. The Bangkok hospital is very near for information. We were disappointed as we wanted a bit of luxury in our last week and we didn't get it.
For 1 theres no way on earth its a 4* establishment, based on just cleaniness alone. Booked this hotel for the last 4 days of trip to thailand and normally even if a hotel or accommodation isnt up to our standards my partner always has something postive to say or point out.. but this time there was nothing. Dont let the entrance hall fool you, its the best thing about the hotel. Our room had a weird smell that wouldnt leave throughout our stay the staff were rude and unfriendly. The dishes of food at breakfast wasnt covered and as a result cockroaches were happily left to do what they do best. The pool was dirty and in need of an urgent makeover. The location is ok as we have an app for cheap taxis but its not perfect, and will find yourself being in a lot of traffic at most times of the day. In all this is a hotel i will never forget but for all the wrong reasons.. if it wasnt the last few days of our holiday and wasnt over budget by this time, we would have booked somewhere else.
To start with, I stayed on A-one motel, which is one of the a-one hotel hotels. One of their cheapest hotels. After I completed my stay I looked for other hotels and thought I would give a-one hotel a try, it looks fancy on the pictures with a grand lobby entrance. So I booked 7nights. Which was a big mistake. First when I checked into a-one hotel I was assigned room 607, but the bathroom smelled cigarettes. I asked to get another room and was assigned room 1222, which was a corner room, small and next to the elevator, super dirty floor mattress. Was then assigned 805. Staff came to the room with me, asked if the room was ok. I looked at it and it seemed ok so I said it was ok. Currently here. But when I turn on the air conditioner, gosh it sounds like a jet plane engine. Trying to sleep one night and it feels like trying to sleep on an airplane. You simply cannot sleep. The cleanliness level is perfect for a Chinese tour group which this hotel is for. You'll see a lot of them here and you do not want to stay in the same place as the Chinese tour groups.
Great rooms, great staff (TOMMIE! THE GOOD GUY) , great service, great Coffee, tea and cakes! just great hotel!! rooms are clean, great view service. A CROSS the street you find a 7 eleven. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
We booked this hotel thinking it was close to the airport. It wasn't - it was about a 45 minute cab ride. Big mistake. It was closer to the malls though, which is a great place to buy knock-offs before heading home. There is no where to walk to to see anything interesting here. Unless you are needing to go to the hospital (it has shuttles), don't bother staying here. That being said, the hotel is fairly nice. The room was a fair size with a more traditional, dark wood feel. It could use an update but everything was clean.
